it's expensive and nogames
So was the PS3.
I bought two, one is still in the box sealed. Ill sell it to you for $100 off normal price if you pay shipping
Exactly. The best way to buy the PS3 was to wait and get the discounted one when the games started rolling out
You'll use it for a month, and it'll be cool as shit. Then you'll set it aside and rarely use it again for anything other than porn.
I can't. Support the future of entertainment fammo.
A better version will come fast, wait til it's more advanced user.
Thank you for the offer but I don't live in the US. I would get fucked by customs and have no warranty really.
No games, overpriced tech demos
Played more Dolphin VR than any of the VR games on Steam
Brianna Wu thinks it's amazing and wants to release Revolution60 on it.
The control boxes make a whirring noise so if it's near your bedroom and you don't have shitty hearing it can be an issue.
Wait until there are actual games worth playing rather than being just experimental tech demos and the sort. There aren't any super relevant games you're missing on.
how fast? 4 years? 6?
just
one
Just gonna preemptively post the copypasta even tho there's nobody this copypasta applies to in the thread atm.
>Falling for the VR is a gimmic meme
You people are actually fucking retarded. VR is going to be literally the main entertainment Outlet for every form of entertainment there will be in the future. Sure it's not the best thing now but it's still pretty damn good and once we have full body and mind virtual reality which will probably be perfected at the most 2045 it'll be like actually being in worlds without getting tired while using your whole body and doing whatever you want literally plus if you think of all the other advancements in video games that will happen by 2045 and even before that such as AI assisted game development and internal clock slowing Technologies as well as just general improvements to in game engines for the most realistic graphics and physics to ever exist! You people are fucking autistic If you think VR...literally being inside of a video game is not the future of gaming! It's the future of everything! Sex, vacations, music, gaming, movies, general experiences, literally everything!
There aren't enough games for it to be worth it right now. If you want stuff to play, you better hope you don't get motion sick easy so that you can play emulated and injected games. Wait at least another 6 months, there should be a new batch games then.
>full body and mind virtual reality
won't happen in our lifetime
screencap this post
wtf wow thanks for the links guys
People thought airplanes wouldn't exist for thousands of years in the 1800s.
Nigger, never buy 1st generation shit.
It'll be so buggy and unoptimized.
Patience, young one.
brianna wu is also a man
Meh, I'm not convinced it will be a major difference. Remember HTC claimed big differences between their models before, and it turned out to just be their camera gimmick. I don't even use the camera, it's a annoying, regular chaperone is better.
The spot for the camera was literally in the molding for the Vive Pre.
Airplanes are pretty simple once we figured out the basics of them.
Full body and mind virtual reality is way more complicated than a light body craft being kept in the air by it's design and propelled by an engine.
Nah not with the speed of how fast tech is advancing.
vr will be ar for rich people. microshit has it right with their fancy goggles
There isn't a single piece of software worth investing $800 into a hardware kit like that for.
Unless you really really enjoy Wii indie-tier shovelware.
No one actually wants to fuck their waifu.
That's just an urban myth.
This guy gets it!
There are actually no worthwhile games to play. I've been excited as fuck for VR, but there's no high-quality game out there it looks like, just a few gimmicks and stuff that's more proof-of-concept than a finished, polished game.
It also seems to me that the whole "move around in a small real-world space" concept is kind of restrictive. It's hard for me to imagine how any sort of conventional game genre (FPS, RPG, action game, etc.) can be adapted to such a ridiculous restriction. I just don't see how they could make a compelling game you'd want to play for tens/hundreds of hours when something as fundamental as movement is restricted. We clearly can't do the whole holodeck thing any justice, instead of this shit I'd wish they'd focus on sitting your ass down and using more conventional control methods (with head tracking added) so you could actually get a few decent games for VR.
