"Its this game good or bad?"

>"Its this game good or bad?"
>"Its a comfy game"

Whats comfy, Walter?

Dude, what is comfy, whats he talking about?

He's giving you a better description than good or bad

It's good, and how comfy it is is a prime reason why

>can't comprehend how a game can be satisfying in a comfy way
They're clearly saying the game is good for achieving high comfy levels. If that is NOT your goal then, unless stated otherwise, the game probably isn't good on its own.

Before you can even consider what "Good" is you need to make it clear what you're looking for in a game. If you did not specify then you will get random information about the qualities of the game, including comfy.

People get angry at "comfy" because they lack the brainpower required to understand the concept.

All the games that people classify as "comfy" usually have abysmal gameplay. To me it sounds like a buzzword to defend a bad game

You probably suffer fro ad/hd and are possibly a weeb.

I get this feeling with watching Spongebob and Steven Universe

honestly neither show is great but the setting is pleasing to the senses

It is exactly what you said.

Name games you classify as "comfy" and i'll tell you why all of them are shit

It just means the game has a nice relaxing atmosphere you'd almost want to be in IRL.

It's a remark on visuals and aesthetics for those whom it interests, not defending gameplay as a whole.

Shut the fuck up, you're out of your element.

>It's a good game but a bad MGS game

Jak and Daxter can get real comfy

Flower and Journey are great for it

The original Spyro game come to mind on some levels too

Comfy is its own criteria that has little or nothing to do with quality. It's just a measure of the warm, inviting atmosphere certain games have. Fable TLC, Persona 4, Oblivion, and tons of older games with great pixel art are comfy. Not all great games, mind you, but still comfy. Where you just feel extremely at home playing them.

I don't see what's so hard to understand about this.

But then they are good games

A friend brought it over and I thought it was cool as shit. But I'm not familiar with MGS so I can't judge it as part of the series.

So I thought it was a cool game, but have no frame of reference for which to judge it as part of a whole. Dig?

Comfy is a word used by people too stupid to explain why they feel the way they do.

Great relaxing atmosphere

There, that enough word to make you feel like a smart person?

Not necessarily. A shitty game can be comf as fuck. A game doesn't need good gameplay to be comfy. Persona 4 had barebones JRPG gameplay and I still love it. Fable TLC had problems out the ass and was just a pile of broken promises, but I love it as well.

So people shouldn't be allowed to use descriptive words to describe things?

>It's a comfy game
is code for
>I have autism

So say the game has a relaxing atmosphere. And that's how you use it but I've seen people describe fights and comfy. A fight is not an atmosphere.

If you can't explain why you feel something then you have no business joining the conversation.

If I say "I like devil may cry" I've added nothing to any conversation. "Why?" you might say" "cuz it's good (or buzzword)"

Cool, thanks for coming out, I'm glad I took the time to talk to you.

See I've never seen someone only describe a game as comfy. Even in comfy threads most people will describe why something's comfy in the post or it comes later on in the discussion. Comfy itself is usually understood to mean relaxing. You're just starting off this whole thread with a strawman.

Comfy is a fucking useless term because it apparently means something different to everyone. A game with snow atmosphere can be comfy to someone, and roaming the wastelands is comfy to another, meanwhile this guy only finds dating simulators comfy.

I'll bet someone has referred to TF2 as comfy.

I've had the opposite experience. I saw someone call a fight comfy in monhun without any other info yesterday. Maybe it's confirmation bias and I don't even register the people who explain themselves properly.
