Would YuGiOh be a better game if shit was as rare and, for lack of a better term, plentiful as it is in the anime/manga?

It wouldn't necessarily make the game better but it would certainly make it more fun.

>you will never find a way to exploit Gale Dogra for the ultimate deck.

No more copy decks
No more mirror matches

Explain.

Don't breed!

the anime literally makes no sense as Yugi has some of the best cards like Exodia and Raigeki while having shit like Celtic Guardian

Yugioh's "Meta" revolves around like 2 or 3 deck archetypes being good while the rest are just garbage in compared to them. Most deck archetypes that people find enjoyable are only fun if you're just dicking around on dueling network something but after a couple matches you'll get in a match with a meta deck and you'll lose. IMO if konami managed to make it to where any kind of possible deck build can be good with just a little bit of thinking and deck crafting the game would be much more enjoyable then to go out and spend 700$ on a set of cards that are only FOTM.

>if konami managed to make it to where any kind of possible deck build can be good with just a little bit of thinking and deck crafting

That is impossible, in every card game, literally impossible

I just play online anyway. I don't care about card rarity.

It would be better if it followed the business model of Dominion.

no
that would almost be like playing with an alpha mtg deck yeah you can get one for 40k bu what's the point

YGO was ruined for me when my friend circle started being able to throw down enough money to just buy whatever cards they wanted. I honestly think the game is "balanced" better when rare cards are just that - rare. So you might not have the perfect combo, or maybe only one copy of the best card in your deck.

Instead, everybody has a perfect deck with all the cards they need, and there's effectively no difference between rares and commons.

I realize I could've started spending like they did to keep up, but it felt like they were playing a different game.

This reminded me they keep trying to take down online simulators to sell their upcoming PC game that probably won't even be any good.

Dominion is a CCG. Yugioh is a TCG. TCG are more popular than CCG because they have more values.

Same principle as Crates vs DLC.
DLC give you all the items, while the Crates make you buy more and more for less. BUT, you have the chance to get stuff that other people dont.

Boosters are special and exciting, while expansions are just expansions.

Expansions are great if you want to play the game in a "fair" set up. TCG are great at generating more money for the sellers.

I'm a booster Junky so I stay away from TCG's. I watch Booster Box openings instead to satisfy my "need" to open boosters.

As long as they give you more than one option for free-to-play cardpacks it's automatically better than the phone game.

That's expecting a lot considering their past attempts at online Yu-Gi-Oh PC games.

post your bro card

It just makes rare cards expensive so be rich and win

where's a good place to play now that dueling network died?

Ygo pro servers are still up. You just can't download it

Even if it isn't actually useful in any deck.

YGOpro servers are still up and running, they just took down the download link.

One day. HE will be back

Why are you people even posting here?

What decks were your guys favorite when it was viable?

I guess I'll start:

Before Lavaval Chain was banned I ran a flawless Gimmick Puppet deck. I went almost 30/0 on a live stream once. I bricked on one of the last duels for the night. Shit was lit.

I figured a what if for the games meta was better for /v.

Yugioh went to shit when cards literally changed the game rules every turn. Everything has an effect now and it is so hard to follow anything. That said, it is ot all bad. The special summoning can get interesting. i used to despise synchros and xyzs but now I actually kinda like them after playing around with some cool ones.

Overall i still like Magic more though. At least Magic has key words and abilities that are easy to remember. The mana game is always an issue and the interactions are much more interesting due to how the combat system and stacking works. Yugioh simply does not have that depth.

Oh boy, I can't wait for the team up

oh yeah, nice promo poster for Darksides

Little buddy stuck in my heart since someone gifted to me

...

I've never had more fun tham I am now that Blue-Eyes White Dragons are viable.

My older brother and I got the box set that came with this. We dueled for it and boy what a match. I lost to a close game but he still gave it to me.

NEVER EVER
HAHAHAHAHA

You should check out the new Dark Magicians too. They're a fun troll deck now.

Fixed

I've played them but Blue Eyes stomp everything. I also love being able to utilize Fusions, Rituals, Synchros, and XYZ all in a single deck and have it work pretty well.

Thanks for the fix, brother.

Never watched Zexal. How long did it even last and was it any good?

here, just replace Yuma with a better character from Zexal

I'm considering making a deck. I've also heard good things about Red Eyes too. Some people at locals thing that if blue eyes will be their one then red eyes will be 0

Worst Yugioh, Yuma doesnt even know how to duel in the first season and he got handholded by Astral like every single duel.
And dont get me started on Season 2 that where you go to full retard to next dimension retard.

Like III

No. Look at MtG with the Power 9, they'd just ban the stupid shit.

It's ok. Yuma had the potential to grow as a character, but it goes no where. Basically, every other character BUT Yuma and his friends are more interesting and well developed that him

Though Zexal easily has one of the best villains in of all Yugioh

fixed

If Ryoga was the Protagonist the show could show some promise.

I always wanted to make a tournament were you can only use 1 copy of every card. That way boss monsters actually could feel like proper boss monsters with the importance they deserve, instead of just a card you have 3 copies of.

Weevil had the best boss card.

In my opinion, as dumb as a duel school was, GX was the best series. kept the same style for duels, and had an alright story behind it, and introduced some of the best card archetypes (cyber dragon and E heroes for example)

Hardest shit to play.

Kinda sad he didn't get a rival Monster card like Kaito.

>Playing P2W TCGs

Just get a standard deck of playing cards that you can play hundreds of types of games with or a card game that isn't P2W like Uno, Skip Bo, or Mille Bornes.

I dont like Yu Gi Oh

yeah yuma was terrible protag

>yuma ends second on a biggest ass tournament.
>3 episodes later.
>watching kaito in a pinch were he needs to beat a monster now or he loses.
>kaito start using a heavy double edge strategy were he sacrifice tons of lp for big effects.
>"umm why is kaito sacrificing so much lp? he is going yo lose that way!" -yuma
>"shut it yuma, he is going to lose either way if he doesnt do something and if he bothers to havet hose cards on his deck he must have some plan" -shark
>kaito win with barely with a chunk of lp
>"wow so thats was his plan"
>somehow yuma is one of the best duelist on the world despite knowing shit about duels

another short one
>friendship is love friendship is live
>some episodes later
>astral is always worring about me, I FUCKING HATE HIM I HOPE HE DIES!

>train girl you are a dumb bitch for using a monster with 5000 attack points, is overkill.
>proceed to summon high attack monsters for the rest of the show, even the last boss has one with 100000 attack.

...

It's funny how Yuma's facing the other way trying to look cool when all it says to me how retarded he is. I like Xyz monsters, but I don't wanna suffer through watching the show.
