The fact that items are on make Classic Mode 9.0 straight up RNG...

The fact that items are on make Classic Mode 9.0 straight up RNG. You're more likely to die to bullshit one hit kill items than to the enemy actually beating you. What the fuck were they thinking? And don't give me that git gud bullshit

>What the fuck were they thinking?

Easy, they weren't

the 3DS had better, less retarded modes and stages and for whatever fucking reason wii u gets nothing but overly elaborate trash ruined by things as basic as throwing 8P matches and items into the mix.

master fortress is also just terrible, what the fuck

why can't we have an actual fucking classic mode where the hands don't explode, matches are set up to be balanced and not just completely random bundles of characters up to 8P which is unplayable, especially when AI goes after the player aggressively

because sakurai said fuck you, that's why

>manage to get to the last stage in 9.0 without losing any lives
>die to the instakill walls in the stupid fucking fortress because your character is to slow not to get stunlocked by all the lasers

When I was playing the 3DS version, I thought all the extra content was going to be fun

>manage to make it through all the bullshit to Master Fortress
>die to Master Edges every single time

I will never complete the Challenge Board

It's honestly ridiculous.
On the bright side, you can usually just go for the 2/3p matches when they're available. Admittedly I do find myself having a bit of fun in the crazy 8p matches, but, I do miss the old classic mode of Melee.
My main complaint is that there's just no structure anymore. In Melee there were always a lot of hidden goodies you could get but in farming simulator 4 you basically have to grind in all the modes to unlock stuff. And by stuff I mean useless equipment which I couldn't give two fucks about.

>enter fight
>8 player fight forced
>ai targets you constantly
>go to attack enemy
>bob-omb spawns in your attack

Wiiu classic was a mistake. That and that shitty stage builder.

The worst part is that the AI doesn't even pretend to fight each other. They are all essentially on the same team with friendly fire enabled.

If you get launched, they will all crowd on the edge and wait for you to return before they start fighting again.

And every match has a designated runner AI that immediately rushes any Daybreak or Dragoon parts while the other AI keep you away. When they build it, they exclusively target you with it.

And god fucking help you if you attempt master fortress with a low mobility character

WHY DOES IT DROP YOU IN DIFFICULTY AUTOMATICALLY? WHY NOT JUST TAKE AWAY THE REWARD MONEY AND LET YOU TRY AGAIN ATLEAST A FEW TIMES. SAKURAIIIIII

What, you mean you don't like unlocking Mega Man's down+B 8 FUCKING TIMES a 9.0 classic run?

Fuck Dragoon, and fuck Daybreak. Fuck like every item added in sm4sh. All the new pokemon are either worthless, like Eevee or Swirlex, or OP as fuck.

Stage builder was inexcusably incomplete but you can make some amazing fun shit in that thing.

>Finally beat 9.0 in 3ds with because i abused health regeneration

>Feel great after playing it with everyone at like 8 or something

>Tfw classic is so shit in wii u

What in the fuck was Hackurai thinking with that goddamn wind bottle thing

Holy fuck that bullshit is so annoying

There's just a few things i want to know. Why can't i draw some large blob and use the Erase tool to carve in corridors and shafts? Instead I have to very slowly and carefully draw it all out in one go. Why are there so few things to put on the stage, far less than Brawl had?

At least in the 3ds version you could choose the stage, somewhat. This way you could avoid Reset Bomb Forest and Yellow Devil Castle. That and no fucking Master Fortress.

I have some serious buyers remorse for the wiiu version. How do you have more content than the 3ds version, but come out as a worse game?

Can i get a list of newly added items? Because I'm pretty sure every single new one is a horrible addition.

>8 person match
>Jump around watch all 7 AI follow you without pause completely forgetting eachother exist as they wait to all instantly one shot you if you dare to ever have the most lives

What's worse is that you're expected to go through 9.0 without a loss. You're automatically knocked down to a lower difficulty if you do get a game over. Fuck this bullshit so much.

Don't forget, while all the other games let you set your lives to 5, this one forces it to 2. Sure, if you die once then finish, they come back the next fight, but the point is you can't do good through most of it and use the extra lives to get through the end.

Yea I wasn't too hot on that change.

I remember playing against crazy hand and losing 2-3 lives against him because I ""saved"" them from not dying against everyone else.

Smash 4 has no good single player modes

I luke master orders but i've ran out of fucking coins. I can get some by cheesing crazy orders but that's it. Classic is trash. All star is bloated. Events are meh. Stadium is trash and smash tour is cancer

hackurai thinks smash should be le random wacky happenings, nothing new

also nobody put any effort into sm4sh multiplayer, why would they put effort into singleplayer

>Smash 4 has no good single player modes
Just play 3DS bro!

What's the matter? Don't have friends? Everyone's got friends! Get some friends!

I hate Smash tour especially because it seems like adding insult to injury for people who liked mario party

Some people might say "git gud" but i like to think of the 5 lives deal as a bit of a bullshit barrier. We've all died from punching a Bob-omb that spawned in front of us.

>he doesn't like 7v1 mode
>he doesn't like 1v58 mode
>he doesn't like events that i dont remember what happened
>he doesn't like Angry Targets
>he doesn't like board game where nobody knows what happens

>Dragoon and Daybreak spawns in every match after 15 seconds of the match starting
Fuck, let me turn Items off. I'd even pay more in-game Coins for the fucking option.

I thought 8 FFA would be fun, but it's not really FFA and 8-player is forced as fuck in classic.

literally get good, shitter. i did classic 9.0 wii u no damage no lives lost with fucking LINK in 30 mins. you cvan do it, too, bitch. that is, if you would attempt to learn the game instead of smashing c left.

Also there's that one reward tile for doing 9.0 without losing a life. Fun times.

If random shit happens that nobody's in control of and die, why shouldn't I just go to a casino instead?

It's easy to lie on the internet, user.

>I have some serious buyers remorse for the wiiu version.
same.

I have rarely ever died due to items on difficulty 9. It's frustrating when it happens but I'd say that I get more kills with items rather than by items. It's fucking hard but I'd say it's more skill based than RNG based. The biggest challenge, for me, is always the final boss. The slightest misstep during the platforming section at the end is also a real fucking killer.

I got the 3ds version and had fun with it, even if i had to fuck with the controls due to a busted R button. So when I heard about all the shit the Wiiu was going to have, I thought it'd be good. Nope.

The 3ds game has problems, absolutely, but the Wiiu version has all the problems the 3ds version had and then about 5x more. You'd think being able to use all those coins to buy, i dont know, ANYTHING BUT TROPHIES AND CLASSIC ENTRIES would be added, right? Or removing getting Olimar's Up+B 5 times in one run.

Nah, fuck fixing the problems, just throw more content at the game! If we have enough half baked shit in it, it'll turn good!

The stages in sm4sh are the biggest offender. 90% of the stages fall between an absolute clusterfuck, and Final Destination but with 50 different palate swaps

Half baked.
That's a good way to sum up Smash 4's single player.
Half fuckin' baked.

Also, since when did Fire Emblem become so fucking popular that like 15% of the roster is FE characters?

Nips really like FE I think.

I swear they purposely spawn Bobombs on top of you.

>hit a crate: it was full of bobombs
>enemy hits a crate: it's full of hammers and max tomatoes

>every regular pokeball you get
>goldeen
>every regular pokeball the cpu get
>a fucking legendary

The day Citra gets to the point where Smash 3DS can be played online with each other, with our own controllers of choosing, is the day Sup Forums realizes Smash 3DS is the better game than Smash Wii U.

>get legendary
>palkia

>assist trophy
>Nintendogs

>you use Game & Watch
>nothing but 1s

>AI uses Game & Watch
>nothing but 9s

>Items being the problem
>Not the 654 part boss you have to beat

Casual Detected!

You can't even argue this point. It's factual.

4 crossed the line, like Guitar Hero 3 did, and now the series is going to suffer for it unless it gets a massive casualizing overhaul.

>tfw cleared the entire challenge board without using a single hammer
SP modes are undeniably shit but it's not impossible, bub.
I cleared the top left challenge with a super defensive Ganondorf. Master Fortress is piss easy if you know where you're going and are agile enough to not touch the instakill zones. Enemies will either miss you or you can run past anyway so there really is no need to rush.

I cleared it on the first try with a super-offensive marth. No deaths and below the time constraint for the speed trophy.

Previously I was trying with my main. Just use marth with a risky respawner badge, a legendary sword, and a knight's cape or anything to equalize his defenses. Losing a bit of speed isn't an issue. Spam A smash and ur good to go. Items are still risky but not if you wreck the opponent before they can get any.

>Items are still risky but not if you wreck the opponent before they can get any
yes let me do crowd control for seven enemies in the largest stage in the game

why you are going into 8 man battles when you literally always have the chance to do 1v1s is the real question

It will usually force you to do 1 or 2 eight-man battles. Spam A-smash anyway. When there's 8 people fighting, it's easy to hit multiple. If you use shield breaker it will absolutely fuck over anyone's shields, which seems to be what the CPUs love turtling you with. Since you have such ridiculous attack, it will break their shield instantly.

Free for alls in 1player are a very bad idea

Master edges isn't that bad to fight

If you just time your spotdodges and rolls right you should be fine

Also, when the swords start holding their swords up in preparation of the multi hit attack, the trick is to actually run TOWARDS them, not away

Even ignoring single player it just feels like it takes too long to ko in this game. It's almost as if the damage ratio is permanently at 0.8
