any game where playing music is the gameplay
Kid Icarus Uprising
I'm not looking for rhythm games or anything.
Pretty much any game with a good OST.
Early EA games
Burnout especially
Please Sup Forums
Super mario galaxy 1/2
Without the orchestra, there'd be considerably less of the epic feel
The ost literally makes the game a 5/10 to a 8/10. I would dare to say it's unplayable without the rad soundtrack carrying you through the levels.
I'd add Zelda, dungeons and overworld feels more alive
Also, metroid prime series, atmospheric as hell
Super Metroid
Metroid Prime
Most Sonic games, but SA2 Battle specifically comes to mind
Also Undertale
I got this when Sega was giving it free on Steam, haven't played it yet.
Only reason I picked this game up apart for that juicy delicious genie waifu
Metal Gear Rising
Bit trip runner
Audiosurf
Goat soundtrack
>Undertale
Regardless about how Sup Forums feels about this game, I don't think anybody can honestly say the soundtrack wasn't 10/10
This without a doubt.
Vidya soundtracks where lyrics kick in halfway through the fight are always great.
NuDoom
that's my horse
...
>Hotline Miami
Why was the second so much worse than the first? It was not a bad game but it is like the first was a piece of stunning gold jewellery and the second was a lump of unpolished gold. Still better than a lot of the shit out there but it is not what I expected.
OFF
Because it shifted focus mainly to guns and it was easy to get killed offscreen.
The soundtrack was still 10/10 in HM2 though.
EVEN THOUGH THEY MADE IT MOSTLY FUCKING DJENT AND NU SHIT INSTEAD OF THRASH
This and for undertale
Amazing boss battle music gets my dick so fucking hard, also I'd like to add chrono trigger/cross and silent hill 1-4, all amazing games with fucking 10/10 soundtracks that make a big impact on you
Mah nigga, my exact thought. Too many enemies at angles that leave them off-screen shooting you.
Other problem was that the levels just seemed too long at times. That could be because of the enemies shooting you from offscreen making them go on longer though.
>and it was easy to get killed offscreen.
Am I the only person on this board that didn't have this problem?
Also reduced replayability with much fewer masks available for each level.
Along with the Vietnam levels where you had to pick up ammo, that was just irritating.
Were you constantly holding shift and looking at every angle before moving?
G-g-g-Ghost Trick!
Finding Yomiel and Cabanela in that building for the first time and then that sweet variation of 4 minutes Before Death rolls on
Gave me the shivers mane
Rest of the music was top tier too. I don't think there were any bad themes in it.
Not necessarily but I used it a lot, even in 1 I used it a lot, I really hope your response isn't something along the lines of "that's not how you're supposed to play faggot"
Yeah I hated those Hawaii sections.
Also
>it's a twin level
Pic related
>see Shantae
>instant erection
Thanks for posting Shantae, user.
Nah, I was just going to say that is probably why you did not have the problem as much. I used it a lot too but I still got killed from offscreen far more than I would have liked.
In 1 I played melee only and only used guns if I absolutely had to. In 2 there are a fucktonne of levels which are borderline unplayable without guns and it just made the game tedious at those sections for me.
>version of At Doom's Gate during the title drop is less than a minute long
>full version of At Doom's Gate is wub-filled and goes on forever
People always seem to forget about rebirth. I thought the guitar riffs were fucking sick, and the music in this game was so dark and heavy it was amazing

In 1 I liked doing some levels fist only with tony the tiger. Can't do it in 2.
Any game ever
*LYRICS SETS IN*
Mother 3
Fair enough, I'll admit it has problems but I still fucking loved it and had a blast with it
Bingo
HERE I STAND BENEATH THE WARM AND SOOTHING RAIN
Yeah, I recently replayed 1 switching between Tony and the Cthulu melee mask.
I could have been extra disappointed because I had played 1 a lot just before playing 2 so I had a good idea of what I expected.
most of the ost is good but holy fuck i fucking hate hopes and dreams, i don't know why but the first i heard it i got really fucking mad
>when the game glitches and Jacket becomes two
>use one as bait
STANDING HERE I REALIZE
>get yourself killed so you leave behind your actual mutilated corpse
The perfect crime.
>the prestige
runescape
>ctrl+f
>No 'Crypt of the Necrodancer'
Fuck
I always played that on mute with my own songs.
Those were the days...
>Facing Monsoon
>AND IT WILL FLOW
Holy fuck that was good
The Pokemon soundtrack always made me enjoy the games that much more

Terrifying.

Soothing as fuck
Persona wouldn't be the same without its god tier ost
Are they stand alone games? I've never played one, but with 5 coming out I've considering it. Though I don't want to have to play 1-4
Beat Hazard
You can start with 5 if you want, you may miss some references but they're not important
Alright so, I haven't played any doom games before, and I know I have sinned my brothers. I would like to make ammends. What one's do I touch and what one's do I not touch?
Mario & Luigi SSS
Literally could hear it looking at your image
This. Soundtrack by Solar Fields, an absolute mastermind in electronic music. Fits the game perfectly and is great to listen to on its own.
This.
I've always had hard-ons whenever a game dynamically changes the music, especially on bosses, but very few manage to pull it off correctly and it ends up sounding like a scrambled mess. MGR does it almost perfectly, to the point I couldn't forget any of the boss themes after hearing them even if I tried.
>anything other than Hydrogen
Kindly stop breathing.
Thoughts on Soul of Cinder music?
What other games do this well?
I hear skies of arcadia do it as well.
I should have linked it too, youtube.com
Miami Disco and Daisuke are good too. Really anything from Hotline Miami 1 is golden. The soundtrack of 2 did not seem as good to me.
Dream team might have not gotten pacing right, but fuck the music was nice. The battle theme was probably my favorite out of all the Mario RPGs.
>that angelic chanting when you're fighting in hell
Payday
>music amps up when police and SWAT units rush in
I enjoyed the music in PD2 but the game is garbage
THPS
If you don't get pumped the fuck up when Cornered starts playing then what is wrong with you
youtube.com
>go to dl Hotline Miami soundtrack because I do not have it on this PC after reformatting
>remember kat is dead after trying to load the site
>go to tpb "Database maintenance, please check back in 10 minutes."
Fuck. Where do people go for public torrents now?
Machinarium
I want to try Transistor because I liked Bastion but I fucking hate turn based stuff. Can't stand it.
Transistor is the game that got me into turn based
Pretty sure there's a KAT proxy already up
I'M A STRANGER THAT HAS FOUND AN EVEN STRANGER WAR
Got too distracted by Hotline Miami and almost forgot the point of this thread.
Spec Ops: The Line.
Say what you will about the game, the OST and song placement was top tier.
>first vietnamese war
>bad vibrations
>josh hommes riffs
Yup. Pretty good ost in my book
It got me into The Black Angels who are fucking GOAT.
Vice city
Piracy is dead
Okami
I just refreshed tpb until it worked. I have a private tracker for movies/tv shows but I do not have one for things like OSTs and textbooks, makes it awkward now that kat is down.
>that filename
Did you really?
>Do
1-Doom 64
>Don't
3
Not out yet, but Sonic Mania.
youtu.be
this.
Any spectacle fighter.
No matter how basic or shallow.
If it has a great soundtrack I will mash that shite.

>YFW YOU FOLLOW MEGATRON INTO SPACE TO DUKE IT OUT
It's like $10 on steam. You have no reason to not buy it
The music in VtM: Bloodlines adds a great deal to the immersion and creating the right atmosphere for the game. I'd say that's pretty important in an RPG, the music really adds to the experience.
