The games coming out on Steam are usually several gens old, some even going back as far as the SNES, the games getting remastered are all a gen old, some weren't even a year old before they got remastered.

OP here. The games are also being released on PC and PS4, but the Sept. 13 date was spotted on the Xbox website.

It's coming to both PC and PS4.

Wikipedia says it'll be out on PS4 and PC too, but that's wikipedia so you can never be sure.

At the rate this is going the 8th and 7th gen libraries will be almost identical when 8th ends.

It's the reboot, remaster and rehash generation. 8th gen seems more like an extention to 7th gen than a generation of it's own at this point.

He only had Gears of War, Oblivion and Dead Rising
I didn't touch the other two that entire summer
I traded my wii for a chance to play Dead Rising and I'd do it again.
Fucking amazing game, the constant sense of empowerment is so subtle but so satisfying, getting the mini chainsaw and fucking the shit of every boss, discovering uses for books, smoothie combinations, when you get a new ability and start spamming it
I love Dead Rising, haven't played it much ever since.

I can't take this shit no mo. Definitely my last generation of gaming. People getting overly excited over Dead Rising re-releases (ie: PORTS) and a barely 16-bit rom hack Sonic game.

Bigger gaming became, the lower standards fell. You couldn't release the exact same game more than five years later and get people ready to suck that dick again pre-2005. Gamers then largely ignored the fuck. They weren't interested in old shit sold as new.

I'm really disappointed in the direction the series has taken after 2. I feel like the developers don't get what made the series unique, they just seem to want to put as much crazy shit in as possible. Also it's ironic they said they brought frank back for the fans but he doesn't even have his original VA, still probably going to pick up 4 anyway

I was young when the Dead Rising games were coming out, so I have a lot of love for them (DR 1 was my first Xbox 360 game, and I had always loved zombie movies like Dawn of the Dead and Zombi 2). I mean, I loved the 1st game, liked the 2nd game, but now in retrospect... Yeah, only the first game was good. They should've stuck with the MT Framework engine and had Japan Capcom do the sequels.
