Is anyone excited for this?

Is anyone excited for this?

Did anyone import it?

They called it SMT IV: Final because it's the last mainline SMT game we're ever getting

Wow dude that's funny as shit joke haha 10/10 chuckles right here

The only thing funny here is that you think I'm joking.

The director already confirmed they're working on another title immediately after Final/Apocalypse. Weak b8.

>really liked how serious and dour IV was
>FINAL/Apocalypse adds waifus and the power of friendship

fucking kill me

If they didn't import the whole social link system I don't really care about the tone to be honest. If it's a little more lighthearted than previous titles that's fine as long as it doesn't become the norm. I think every story needs its highs and lows to be thoroughly entertaining. You get tired of bleak hopelessness pretty quick plaything through Nocturne and SMT IV within the same year

>You get tired of bleak hopelessness pretty quick plaything through Nocturne and SMT IV within the same year

I don't

>buying 3DS games

jej

Is this a new game or just an update to a game I already own?

An entirely new game in the same universe.

>importing games when region lock is a thing

It's a sequel with a shit ton of asset recycling.

>not having a Japanese console

Cool. I've had bad luck with that, I've only bought SMT games right before their superior versions were released.

You play as a new character in a timeline roughly analogous to the Neutral route from SMTIV, but it goes past the scope of that and adds a bunch of new story.

>Atlus game
Your post is incredibly redundant.

I'm interested in it. Still need to finish SMT III and IV though. Was going to play the Japanese version around the end of September, but I may actually wait for the English version since my free time has suddenly become significantly limited.

Did 3DS CFW completely slip under your radar?

so if they do this kind of thing often, are the games made with recycled assets usually any good? or are they just thrown together to make money

Atlus has mastered the art of rehashing and cutting costs.

They're usually pretty good. Atlus has milked some of their games, but they're still entertaining though. It's no where near as bad as your average Tiple A release that you would find today, if that's what you're asking.

That's not Idea Factory

Question for those who have played it

is the difficulty curve still fucked? In the original 4, the starting place was the hardest part, then it became a joke.

IF makes shitty games.
