t o p k e k

Proof that investors are just babies, that whine for something for years, get overhyped for a few days when it happens, then drops it and complains again.

Wow.

I used to be a nintendo fan for long. But they have the same fucking pattern of doing great and fucking it all up over and over and over and over. When will they ever fucking learn

Is this anti-PR

Based Nintendo

Nintendo are literally trying to kill their own company

They are still up quite a bit. And honestly it's the dumbfuck investors fault for automatically assuming Nintendo would be making 100% of all profits on the game when it's clearly developed by a third party.

No it's the response to nintendrone shitposting about Nintendo stocks doubling all last week

Yup

Good. Fuck Nintendo for indulging in this trash. Hope this bites them in the ass and no one buys the mainline games anymore.

They're telling the truth to their investors. They're not making as much money from this game as they think.

And? Are you just trying to /biz/ shitpost?

DASH DASH DAAAAAASH

As if no other companies indulge in trash.

It does seem so, what with trying to come up with crappy new IPs, trying to resurrect old IPs and fucking it up more than if they left them alone, showing just one big game that might only be interesting for a specific userbase and not ever talking about their new platform which seems to be just them trying to catch up with what already existed for years. And the gimmicks, more and more useless.

I do think they're trying to send a message that they don't want to do this shit anymore.

I'm sure you werent saying the same last week when Nintendo fans were going on about Nintendo market value increasing so much

After Paper Mario U and #FE, I could see that.

No I really wasnt.

Relax.

>Plunges
>on this 20 day timeline

ORE WA!

What exactly is wrong with what they said? They can't exactly lie to their investors. The backlash would be even worse than it is now if they did.

>c-can you feel it nintenbros another golden age is upon us

Already sold my Ninty stock. Made ~$800 all in all. Gonna pre-order an Xbox Scorpio with that.

>implying smart investors didnt make mad cash on this pump and dump

Just let it go. Anti ninty people are the most vocal. Them and pro PlayStation.

yes, they are trying very hard to scrutinize stock market on a half day basis.

>value
stock value is virtual and doesn't make a company rich or poor.

Hey there, I see that you are in the habit of calling people babies on the internet. Stop fucking doing that.

fwiw I made $10,000 off Nintendo last week and am now out :^)

>buying to sell a day after
>smart

Yes Pokemon Go will lose players and level off after initial release but it's going to be a stable cash source and stock will be better for it.

>stop saying words that makes me sad!
are you ok kid?

I wonder how it will benefits Sun Moon release since it reminded so many normies of the franchise.

Lol who gives a fuck about you.

But that is exactly what you do. You buy low, and sell high. The smart people bought nintendo stocks when they started going up, and then sold when they peaked.

I would imagine the impact wouldn't be terribly big. Most normies think any pokemon past gen 1 (or at the very latest gen 2) are shit and they aren't going to buy a 3DS just to play pokemon.

How low do you think it will go? Do you figure it will drop to where it was before Pokemon Go came out? Maybe a little higher? Maybe even LOWER as people try to off the "toxic" stock?

>It's a economy expert thread

>Posts a screenshot from MNS:Goemon
>Isn't actually about the game

Well, I thought there would be some good news regarding the Goemon franchise, but I guess that's wishful thinking, or impossibility to be good news

A good stock tip is to remember that rich people often buy stock when they hear that something is good and sell stock when they hear that it might be bad eventually. Always do your best, and be sure to sell your stock when the mainstream media acknowledges some retard gamer bull shit as not bad, but good.

Stock market threads should be banned on sight.

Well they're not wrong

Do you even Stock Market?

Why? They're pretty interesting.

50% in a couple days is smart you retard

>tfw made buku bucks on Nvidia this month

>tfw literally fucking doubled investment into NTDOY in a span of 2 months
>sell nintendo off on 37 dollary doos, originally bought for around 19/share

Fuck guys. My father had been trying to get me into investing for years and gave me some capital to get started out. Just have a little bit of knowledge how the vidya market works and you can literally predict shit. This is the easiest fucking way to make money and I cannot believe some of you aren't still grabbing onto this.

Normal fags are so fucking easy to make money off of.

so full of hope

wait til you experience your first big loss

A SMALL LOAN OF A MILLION DOLLARS

I thought the same thing, but in reality it's perfectly acceptable, it's how white people roll. He just needs to learn that he is not some invincible omniscient trader.

>you can LITERALLY lose all your money in ONE NIGHT

I have been super jewing my way around the stock market for about a year now. You are a fucking retard if you don't balance your stocks to have high-risk, high-reward and minimum-risk, minimum-reward so you don't fucking make errors like a retard.
What tech related shit you investing in?

Got some shit in AMD. They're really stable.
Nvidia, but you never know if a 3.5GB thing comes out of nowhere again.
Other vidya tech stuff, EA, Blizzards been on the rise but you never know if Overwatch is gonna die. I jumped ship from Konami last fall pre-MGSV, Sup Forums had me convinced it was gonna be a shit game, and it was. Bunch of other small players too that don't really make a difference yet but I have hope.

Oh god. You invest based on what Sup Forums says. You are so doomed.

>I made money and have been doing it for a while
>YOU'RE FUCKING DEAD SON YOU RETARD

You wouldn't happen to be related to would you?

Paste that shit in the thread, faggot. Not giving them hits.

>believing everything Sup Forums says

Well, not really. Some of it is good advice. But if you blindly do everything Sup Forums thinks is good, you are retarded.

Besides, most of my investments lie in the auto trade anyways. Tech and vidya make around a quarter of them.

Americans were trying to kill vidya again with their silly apps.

But Nintendo cannot let this happen. There are too many relying on them.

This. Wouldn't even care if they didn't spam 15 fucking threads an hour about nintendo being BACK BABY OMG NINTENDO *SLURP* *SLURP*
But they deserve their lashes for always being shitposting faggots whenever anything even semi positive happens to nintendo.

I wrote a post in response to this detailing all of the ways in which you are wrong, but then I realized that I would be spoonfeeding you important lessons as an investor. It's better that you make your own mistakes.

ITT: People that don't know shit about how stocks work

they don't "work" in any way, you stupid faggot.

>On the first day of NYSE trading after 9/11, the market fell 684 points, a 7.1% decline, setting a record for the biggest loss in exchange history for one trading day. At the close of trading that Friday, ending a week that saw the biggest losses in NYSE history, the Dow Jones was down almost 1,370 points, representing a loss of over 14%. The Standard and Poor's (S&P) index lost 11.6%. An estimated $1.4 trillion in value was lost in those five days of trading.

really makes you think

stick value only matters if you want to sell. aka never if you aren't a retard

Well, keep telling yourself that it's a bad idea to invest. But before that, what do you do for a living?

hmm

I trade stock options for a living

>I work in the stock market
>therefore it's a good idea to scare potential new investors away

Whats the logic here man?

>all that armchair video game/hardware industry analysis
oh dear, my sides

Well, we have /biz/ and we already get enough people crossing boards from here and Sup Forums trying to make a quick buck. And the topic honestly invites non video games dicussion really quickly.

The only exception is usually are more used to reason how a game did in terms of sales or money relative to the rest of the stuff the company has. And even then, it's a really grey area to touch into, and honestly is pretty weak overall as an argument unless the financial report for the company explicitly states its impact.

>haha omg le orbit my sides kek xdd

I mean, you just have to go back.

>non video game discussing
>Because all the video game discussions right now are golden

I'm just waiting for someone to make another No Mans Sky so I can go shitpost in it.

to be fair people really should be afraid of the stock market. most noobs think, "hey, I like this company, I'll buy their stock" as if this is some kind of conservative sure-thing type of investment, but they are dead wrong. for example, kids who bought nintendo stock after the release of Pokemon GO saw some great gains but probably don't realize that they are about to lose all of those gains they were bragging about and then some of daddy's money.

Well, yeah. Normies are retarded. Who fucking knew.

I hate people like you who toss more feces into the pile when it's already hard enough to find diamonds in it already. Why can't people be decent for once and actually contribute to a good discussion more frequently instead of making more noise that needs to be filtered?

And talk about what, genius?

What possible discussion could we mine right now that hasn't been mined to death?

you really can't believe that you are a magical gifted outsider with powers of divination. no. you need a strategy beyond cultural trend analysis if you truly want to call yourself a trader. you need to realize that the people you are competing with range from "normies" to fucking math genius technical analysts and huge firms who are many many more steps ahead of you.

I can tell you're the guy who was bragging about his vidya gains, but I'm warning you, you will get fucking rekt and will be forced to come up with more nuanced strategies.

>Get influenced by all that Gordon Gekko tier movie and book shit from my youth
>Decide, yep, I'm going to get into the trade
>Realise all to suddenly how dangerous and volatile it is.

I mean it's common sense, everyone says it's volatile even with basic knowledge of the trade but my god.

you dont have much grasp of the market, either.

You clearly don't. At best you sell gold in mmos.

yes I do, I do this for a living. I am just simply warning people who treat it like a casino game.

pic related

Wow, who saw THAT coming?

Hint: Everyone with a brain.

Pokemon Go was a flavor of the week gimmick, it had zero staying power and now you're seeing it.

You seem to misunderstand what the article is about. I'm not sure why you hate Pokemon Go so much, did it touch you in appropriately?

I didn't mean my post as a call to arms to get back on topic, which is unlikely, but as a chiding for your general mindset which you and many other "shitposters" share. For me, I always come to threads of interest to see what can be said or contributed of value so possibly more insight and perspectives can be obtained.

But discussion already deviated already from the original interest of Nintendo's financial prospects relative to what they said about Pokemon Go and I've said enough so I'm leaving the thread to rot since not much more of value will be posted that is either relevant to this board or my interest.

You seem to be attempting to damage control.

Do you need assistance?

I'm not saying I am a, how'd you put it, "a magical gifted outsider with powers of divination".
No.
I am saying that the majority of the population, who don't invest, are stupid.

>I can tell you're the guy..

In the words of Ludacris the Invincible, "Get back motherfucker ya don't know me like that."
You assume a lot of things about me, the way I invest, who I invest in. I said I have, what, a quarter in the tech industry. That's all. I know you think I'm some retard who made buck on some pokeman and then went to claim I am the Lord of Traders, saver of the economy. Which, I obviously am.
But you are doing the opposite of what you should be doing if you go around telling people "the stock market is really complicated and scary, you have no chances anywhere so might as well cut your losses and go work in an office somewhere".

just report them

Literally nobody can be this dumb and thinks this means anything

ITT

>THIS IS THE NORMIES FAULT
>FUCKING GAMERS I HATE THEM
>WOW INVESTORS ARE SO STUPID

I don't really need to control damage from some sperg who comes flying into the thread misinformed and with a weird grudge against a mobile app.

>"the stock market is really complicated and scary, you have no chances anywhere so might as well cut your losses and go work in an office somewhere"

literally all I am telling you is that you are very fortunate to have your father give you a portfolio and that you shouldn't get cocky because you can lose very considerable sums of money if you aren't careful.

Your butthurt won't make the stocks go back up. :)

You're a self righteous cunt, got it. And probably a shitposter but hey, who isn't nowdays?

Your butthurt won't make your father love you :)

>projecting already

...

>trying way too hard for internet pointz

Nintendo needs some internet points right now :)

>someone who invested 100,000 dollars would have made 50,000 a day later
Go on, tell me this investment was stupid

What kind of breakfast do you prefer? Do you like toast, or are you more of a pancakes man? If so do you prefer syrup or no?

I don't eat breakfast

>great job kid, don't get cocky
Thanks Han.

Look, good advice. Little caution never killed anyone. And you're right. However, if I cannot enjoy the hustle and the metaphorical fruits I reap from it, then whats the point? I don't flaunt my accomplishments like a retard, but we are currently in the video games subsection of a website dedicated to the discussion of Vietnamese children's cartoons on a thread that is making fun of people who thought that Nintendo is the savior of video games because their stock doubled thanks to some mobile game. I am making fun of people who assume that Nintendo is now the king of all tech companies because of one game.

You would think that, but as a person who works at Gamestop and has first hand seen what pokemon GO has done for Nintendo, I think youd be underestimating it slightly. Our 3ds sales went up by 100% since the release and pre orders for the games by about 150%. As long as Nintendo keeps updating pokemon go with new features or pokemon to keep players interested, I can only imagine the effect it will have for the new games.

At least they didn't lie while they could just tell plain lies like a certain someone and keep the dumb investors throwing money at nothing.

>Buy stock in a company on the rise
>wait for it to peak and see if there are consecutive negative closing days and weight the risk of selling
>Sell before losing more than half of potential profit in comparison to how it rose during stock ownership

If you really think the rise in Nintendo's stock was anything other than a one time occurrence to take advantage of and weren't retarded or waited too long you could have easily made money. No this type of shit doesn't apply to a market as a whole, but nor did this case need a "Nuanced" strategy considering how low of a risk it was to bet on nintendo stock because of how relatively stable it was before this spike.

I mean really nigga, you can't compare, even for the purpose of giving advice, of taking advantage of a relatively safe investment opportunity in comparison to hedging a majority of your assets and diversifying investments. Your "analysis" is equivalent to telling someone who invested in BTC when it was on the rise and sold it off when they made a decent return that they need to watch out because they don't understand currencies. They aren't getting into the game of currency exchange to make money, they are taking advantage of a trend to make money, it's not a living its a quick buck.
