>ever changing situations, that require deep thinking and complex mental analysis to adjust to

nice one, made me chuckle

>unlimited gameplay
What gameplay? Walk around, wait for vibration, flick the screen, catch pokemon. Wow that required a lot of skill. Now do that 100000 more times to increase your pokemon's power level so that you can fight against other people for gyms, the winner will be decided by whoever was more autistic and caught more pokemon than you. That's not gameplay.

>ever changing situations, that require deep thinking and complex mental analysis to adjust to
No. Just no.

>completely free to play
There's an IAP store.

>lets you friends and girlfriends
No different to MMOs

>can be played everywhere
Not released in all countries, not playable without internet + GPS.

>constant content updates
This never happened. Niantic is well known for extremely shitty updates and very little content addition, e.g. Ingress

>played by literally everybody
>literally
Stop

>lets you overcome anxieties and addictions
So do other games and pastimes

>Virgin losers detected.

nope, it's very shallow and not very satisfying
but it gives me a reason to go out so it's good for that

...

>boot up phone this morning
>cant sign in to google account for some reason
>try everything, clearing dalvik chache, google play chache etc, nothing works, can't sign in to my gmail account
>can't play pokemon go now
fuck this shit i'm done

It's fun but the amount of wasted potential is embarrassing.

What potential exactly? It's a simplistic FOTM mobileshit game.

>It's a simplistic FOTM mobileshit game.
Do you know what "wasted potential" means?

Augmented reality has huge potential, but Niantic are terrible when it comes to actual gameplay.

Yeah, but what if it wasn't. I guess it's dumb to say "What if this game was a better game" but it wouldn't be hard to turn this into something really good.

Honestly if it let you battle wild Pokemon, had the traditional level up/battling/evolution system, and allowed you to fight and trade with friends it'd be amazing
But it's just a Safari Zone simulator with a shitty minigame for the gyms

>Honestly if it let you battle wild Pokemon
This, how could they fuck up so badly? It's so barebones just walking up to pokemon, not battling them or anything but just throwing a pokeball.

But people will still eat it up because AR and because AR is still premature.

>This, how could they fuck up so badly? It's so barebones just walking up to pokemon, not battling them or anything but just throwing a pokeball.

This is just how mobile games are made. They don't gather the developers to brainstorm fun ideas, they get a bunch of suits in a room who look over statistics on how their previous skinnerboxes did. They work out a wait/reward curve that will generate the bluest balls and then dictate the programmers and artists to make the game to those specifications.

The make the gameplay part as simple as possible so every has an easy time spending their in-game resources completely each cycle. If you did a real Pokemon battle each time you encountered something, then some people might find entering more battles to be tiresome or they'll be too satisfied by just a few of them so they might never run out of pokeballs. If a wild encounter is just a swipe on the touch-screen and a random outcome, then everyone will burn through their pokeballs quickly enough to make buying more seem enticing.

viral marketing
Literally no good reason this should be posted here and not there

Hello, reddit.

Hello, cucklr.

Did you run out of insults, reddit?

Argue on merit, not on label, or you're all going to be labeled retards.

Did your mammy forget your tendies, nu-malebook?

will NEETs ever stop being triggered and assblasted by this game

signs point to no

Idk how everyone's eating this up so hard considering how much of a fag I am for casual phone games.

Admittedly it's fucking neat for a couple days 'til the whole monotony sets in, and the app crashes, or there's a server error, or a poke stop stops working, or your battery depletes at 1 percent per minute.

I'm glad people like it and I'm glad normies are openly talking about Pokemon now but I just find it baffling how it's lasted longer than a week.

because for people who regularly go outside you can play it like 10-30 minutes a day and make progress
