I was done with it pretty quick.

Completely ruined, I don't even think they raised anywhere close to what they made last year. Not only that but it's the same fucking shit over and over again with no surprises or obscure gems. It's all watered down, progressive pandering, and neutered commentary. They tried to hard to make this shit maintream and fucking killed it in the process. I'm done with this shit forever.

There were few nice runs, but overally it wasn't that good.
The problem is that you have tons of runners trying to act very professional, when most of the time they are anything but.

Also, what's the deal with tech-crew telling Jak guys to stop it with celebrity jokes? That's one of the staples of mainstream comedy, is that not allowed either?

Honestly, this was not as good as everyone said it was. I love Jak and I like entertaining runs but Jak's speedtech isn't especially gamebreaking. The most entertaining speedruns are the runs where you see the game destroyed before your eyes. I think that's why Bethesda games are pretty high on my list when it comes to speedruns, despite not liking Bethesda games whatsoever.

One of the SMW runners was like 15 I think and to be able to attend GDQ he needed a guidance which was his grandma.

She was actually at the couch and seemed really nice but obviously had no idea what even was going on.

It's true that on a technical level the run was uninpressive. But what made the run was the completely laid-back and unproffesional atmosphere that was a welcome change of mood, in addition the staffs less than positive reaction was rather enjoyable to those who dislike the way GDC is run (and everyone else from how the stream chat and our own threads reacted).
