Pretty much. I stopped playing after thoroughly beating it once. Started a second character but lost interest and haven't played since. Keep telling myself I'm going to pop it back in and play but never do and end up playing something else. Fuck, I played 2 for longer before the burn out set in.
Stopped playing less than a week after it came out, I beat it in a couple of days tried another character got bored and never played since.
havent bought it
Last year I bought the original Dark Souls for 5 bucks in the black friday steam sale and played it for 322 hours
I will get Dark Souls 2 this november, and Dark Souls 3 with all the dlc next year
meanwhile I beat my backlog
>anymore
Try "at all"
I learned my lesson from DaS2, fucking From cocksucking bastards.
Waiting for Scholar of the Second Sin edition to PIRATE THIS FUCKING GAME
Me. I logged a solid 500 hours but I'm DONE until they either totally fix all the flaws or the DLC hits.
>I'm DONE until they either totally fix all the flaws
name literally one
gimmick/joke bosses aren't getting patched
and poise is different than it was in previous games but it still works under its new definition.
same man i try making new characters to spike interest and i just get bored after vordt
Meh. I think most people (myself included) are just burned out on the series for the time being. I tried going back to DS1 and DS2 several weeks after doing a few playthroughs of DS3 and it was still pretty boring for both games.
dark souls 1 was especially hard to get back into and invested in.
shame that you've never experienced a dark souls on launch week. it's quite a spectacle
Not him, but I don't give a fuck about PvP in the souls series. It's a complete afterthought for me.
>name literally one
>horde of basically useless weapons/no reason to not use a straight sword
>no reason to invade since the game is more stacked against the invader than any other souls game
>whole list of issues makes dueling/pvp completely shit
getting invaded on a blind playthrough adds to the experience
and seeing 30 summon signs in front of a boss door is a sight
Basically, my experience with the game so far:
>first playthrough using str weps
>second playthrough using dex
>third playthrough using dex with some spells
>lastly did some pvp for a while (invasions and fightclubs) but quickly got bored because souls pvp has and always will be terrible
Now eagerly anticipating the dlc, should be some good stuff.
I mean if I do get involved in multiplayer its usually an invasion, i never have and never will summon for a fight or an area.
but ive gone entire playthroughs in DaS, DS2, and DS3 without getting invaded once.
i've been trying to get into DS3 PvP and it really isn't as bad as people say. I play on xbone and see actually quite a lot of variety in builds. i haven't played DS3 in a while though, probably wont until the DLC drops. But we'll see if I get that yearning for a souls game since DS2 and DS1 just can't satisfy it anymore.
>horde of basically useless weapons/no reason to not use a straight sword
false. some weapons downright suck but every souls game has them. and you can still do just fine in PvE and if you are good, PvP
I feel like armor barely does anything in this game, and with Havel's and Ring of Favor in their least useful forms yet, putting any medium armor on at all causes you to fatroll wiwithout a lot equip load. I'm not saying I should be able to go all heavy armor and ninja flip, but destroying my stamina regen for wearing any set that isn't cloth or leather seems shitty when it gives you barely anything in return. my paladin play through is radius, but perhaps it's more fluffy that way
I feel like Dark Souls 3 would be one of the most successful games ever if it was actually the first game in souls series.
Yeah, I'm a little burned out. The game tried to explore too many themes with too little content. I'm waiting for a DLC packed with dense atmosphere, interesting lore and great bosses
Arduous* fucking phoneposting
i'm not touching this game ever again, it's a very heartless rehash
There actually is a pretty big difference between going full light armor fashion souls and wearing all heavy armor in regards to damage taken.
>some weapons downright suck but every souls game has them
no shit but straight swords are so good in 3 that everything pales in comparison. even the bleed meta is btfo by a decent player with a ss
armor really doesn't do much. only thing that really matters is just wearing something. going helmet-less makes you take a shitload more damage than just wearing the hollow rags facemask. another issue with the game.
I've already beaten it 5 times. What would be the point in continuing playing?
Yeah, but I did the same for all the souls game anyway.
I'm not really that much into pvp so when I'm done with the game there's really nothing much I can do.
