I played the first one recently because of its GOG release.

I really think this game gets a bad rap

i liked the new weapon and rig system and the atmosphere was still good, but i really didn't like the pacing or the killing the humans all the time concept they were going for.

it seemed like they just needed to close the story up to me and they weren't really invested in the end of the story

I kind of agree with these. Gameplay wise it felt alright, a little bit more fast paced especially compared to one. But everything else fell flat, became way too action oriented rather than spoopy.

5 should have been TEW. 6 should've been Dead Space.

Well rdr is a bit different, it would make sense to remaster it considering it's only on the 360 and ps3.

It doesn't need one though, the graphics still hold up perfectly on PC. Honestly, the only thing 1 and 2 need is proper AA support, it doesn't seem to work even if you force it in either of them, and you can solve any framerate/control problems by disabling v-sync and forcing it through your graphics card instead.

I like dead space 3. People give it to much flak.

It's buggy, you can't manually save and some of the checkpoints throw you into Necro spawnpoints, the story is crap, it ruins Isaac and Ellie, the co op is hamfisted and locks content from singleplayer, there's microtransactions, I could go on and on.

No, user. It was because of EA. It was LITERALLY just because of EA. They wanted to beef up DS sales to compete with the booming shooter sales.

We knew even when the game was still in development that EA told Visceral they had change up the game and break 5m copies or they were getting the plug pulled on them.

3 was the worst selling Dead Space by a pretty hefty margin.
