Watch Dogs 2: I don't think many people care that he is Black, its moreso about his EDGY HIP demeanor. Plus playing as him looks weaker than Aiden, he literally has a pair of pool balls tied together instead of a sick baton.
Mafia 3 guy: Again he doesn't fit the setting in a comprehensible way, plus the entire focus of the game is to kill Trump just like Watch Dogs 2.

There are games with legitimate black protagonists, and there are games with illegitimate ones that are force-fed to the consumer base.
Fortunately, people generally only complain about the latter. Unfortunately, people like you with no knowledge of statistics use those complaints as your entire sample size.

Man I have zero problems with blacks. I mean GTA:SA was fucking awesome. I have problems with blacks in games that they don't fit in. Just like having a white guy star in the same game as GTA:SA would be weird, having a black character in a game called MAFIA is fucking stupid.

The problem is that the game they're put into, and using Battlefield as an example, is so highly unusual and unrealistic that it might as well have never even happened in history; let alone made into a main character for a period piece.
Other than that I have literally no problem with black characters in videogames taking the spotlight. In Final Fantasy 13, having the ability to COMPLETELY replace Lightning with Sazh was a godsend.
