starforce could have been the goat series if the battling didn't feel so limited and restricted. It's a worse, dumbed down version of battle network.

Story and characters were better though. I liked the lock on mechanic though

I think they just REALLY wanted to use 3D models on the DS for some reason, and realized it would probably look pretty garbage in the 6 panel style unless they significantly revamped their art style in combat for it
tfw the game would of looked amazing if they would of just kept the old pixel art style

story and characters of starforce were by far better than BN, had some unique designs and had fun with itself

BN and Starforce are by far some of my favorite game series of all time, mostly out of nostalgia presumably

I only played 1 and 2 and I liked 2 more then 1, though only barely.

The encounter rate was nuts and nothing ruins an RPG worse than an insanely high encounter rate

But I liked Star Force ..a lot. I remember when Dragon first came out and I was excited to get it of the 3 released. Since nobody around me ever got ANY other Star Force games I needed an Action Replay to get the other Chips
