Compile Heart games are all about artificial difficulty. I wouldn't be surprised if bosses were ten levels higher than your current level. With a massive decline to hit percentage if you are less than three levels.

Fang's hilarious where I'm at. He's pretty the complete opposite of the classic hero; he's lazy and he's kind of a jerk but not to the point of being outright mean.
