Are there many endings? Do you choices really affect the story or are there only a couple of different dialogue lines here and there?

episode 1 is free I'm not gonna bother asking if it's good or not, although I'm curious how much I get out of the first episode, length wise. I might try it out just to see the hubbub, I've only seen one person let's play it and they make it look like a travesty well worth enjoying for the amount of dumb shit that happens .

there has been tons of games like this before, and there will be more after this. it isn't about the gameplay at all. the story is what drives games like this even though telltale has been raping games i love like sam and max for the name. the puzzle level doesn't matter, its still a game. you play it, you like the story, you finish it, and its over. it's still a game. no dvd stops the movie and says "should she peek in the alien nest?"

I tried playing this piece of shit but after a couple of hours I gave up because I just couldn't stand how cringy the dialogue and the characters were.

i like how people think its a SJW, lesbian, feminist game while in reality its everything opossite.

The game was nice and i was impressed by the amount of detail it had, from the small interactions to the whole branching relations you can have with alot of the characters, i liked how you couldn't tell how your actions would turn out, and replaying it with friends and checking all of the changes small decisions make was very fun.

What i didn't like its that they left too many loose ends, you don't get to see how alot of your actions turn out to be, frank, kate, nathan, victoria and even the minor characters like stella and alyssa are forgotten in the ending in favor of the horrible ambiguous ending.

In pic related, one of the characters is a fat guy who is in the pastwith a time machine. You collect random stuff to make a battery and power it with a fucking kite, while in the future you need to escape the tentacle prison or w/e.

Tell me how THAT compares to Life is Strange's: Oh, that dialog didnt work? Lets time rewind this shit until we progress wih the fucking story.

chloe the feminist that smokes pot, has tatoos and dyes his hair pretty much fucks everything up so hard that even destiny wants her dead, he lives off his hard working mother and blames everyone but her.

Nathan the supposed school bully who everyone hates but no one can do anything about it because he's rich turns out to be the mayor victim, an uncaring father and an abusive teacher that use him as a puppet.

David, the paranoic veteran who has a bunch of guns and wants surveillance in school turns out to be the most sane people and one of the few who had a hunch of what was going on.

Jefferson the "has it all" art teacher turns out to be the (badly written) bad guy.

A great 16 hours can be better than a good 200 hour.

the only thing they changed is that chloe dies when she gets shot instead of being comatose, because they didn't want her to live in both endings.

ep1 is just introduction to the gameplay and story.

I played ep2 a few months after ep1 and it was that episode that made me kinda love the game

Played couple days ago free episode 1. I honestly really liked it. It's looks better and plays better than any Telltale's games.

As much as I enjoyed playing this game, and how much it ruined me at the end I can't call it the best game of 2015.

Not mainly because of the dialogue, that has something to do with it but not entirely. It's mainly because of what the game promised, that is your decisions matter, but EP5 throws all of them out the window. I was genuinely hoping for the ending to be decided on what decisions you have made throughout the game, not just a single decision at the end. That and the ending was predictable in the sense that one of the main characters would be killed. If they did it where Max used her power to save everyone as the true good ending that could only be unlocked depending on your decisions throughout the entire game, then and only then it would be the best game of 2015

Alright. It gets a lot of hate on Sup Forums but I still think it was fantastic. Maybe not as rpg-y as new Vegas but it made up for it in other areas like a superior overworld and good power armor integration.
