I'd actually say skyboxes is one of the few things 343/their contractors did as good of a job with as bungie, if not better.
Halo 4's has some issues where they look pixelated, but that's due to hardware limitations. The actual design of them is stellar.

It's also a shame so many of the skyboxes in Halo 4/2A are hard to get good pictures of due to them being animated/volumetric heavy and having interesting stuff all around the map permieter
