Steam cheevos.

Did it for the trophies desu

trophies are meh, idc about that shit. anybody can do it, just requires lack of life

Different builds are fun.
Other than that NG+ is basically a chore to get better rings.

Gaming in general requires a lack of of life, you fucking retard.

lol not really. losers like you have the extra time to care for boring trophies 'cause you got nothing else going on but I've got way better stuff to do than that grind

I'm doing NG+ this weekend, 'cause I didn't do the Yoel/Yuria stuff on my other two characters.

Dark Souls 3 is the best From game because it's the one without a weak spot.

Co op with a friend while voice chatting

Makes the game a bit fresher when you end up building characters just to make each other laugh

>without a weak spot
thats dumb. it has loads of flaws. linear af world and most weapons are redundant because of enemy speed/aggression. invasion system is also wack af

>I've got way better stuff to do than that grind
Yeah, like shitpost on 4chins.

lol yup. spending 5 minutes at a time to laugh at a few losers aint the same as grinding hours for a few shitty achievements m8. carpe diem i guess

>linear af world
HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHA
yeah Farron's Keep and Irithyll are very linear

lol i cant get over how retarded u are for trying to say das3 isnt linear as all balls compared to das1. lmao you are such a retarded idiot it's p funny family

Name a non-linear area in DS1 that compares to Farron's Keep.

i dont even remember farron's keep so that speak volumes about how good your shitty "area" is

>i dont even remember farron's keep
Ah, you didn't play the game.

To get better versions of some rings so you can then participate in competitive Dark Souls 3 pvp against the same 5 meta weapons :^)

competitive
Dark Souls 3
PvP

Fuck this shit community.

>Farron's Keep
>quick google
>that one stupid oil area
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA
is this your first souls game kiddo?

>Irithyll is very linear
It is, there's a few very small side-paths.
>Kill Sully's beast
>Bonfire
>Up stairs, past the guards, past courtyard, then up past the two flame guards
>left into the Chapel
>left and down to the graveyard
>left and down to the back alley
>right and down to the wine room
>left and down or right and down if you give a fuck about items, then into the water
>left and forward for the Bonfire leading to the Dungeon
>left and left again for the main path forward through the sewer into the kitchen
>past the Knights into the back alley
>left up the stairs, then right, right up the stairs, left up the stairs, forward, left, forward, right, Sullyvahn
And the side paths along the way are exceptionally short, only one requires any backtracking.

There's pretty much only 3 kinds of builds that aren't absolute dog shit. Magic spam, light weapon, heavy weapon.

Sure, you can have a dex based r1 spam, or a strength based r1 spam, or a luck based r1 spam, but it all plays the same. Same with heavy weapons. With magic, your stat choice only changes what color of projectile you're slinging.

Weapons that actually offer unique movesets, like fist weapons or whips, are just really bad.

>again
Instead for the line after Dungeon, not again.

the entirety of dark souls is a billion times better than one shitty place i didnt even remember before googling.

also you dont really understand what non-linearity means. in das1 you have loads of choices of the routes you wanna take. das3 is pretty much a straight line from one side to the next, with some optional areas thrown in between.

but yeah, wow, you have this one shitty swamp rehash that from always pulls where you have the choice of which candles you wanna light first. WEW

I wish this included the DLC

I can tell you are a teenager.

>no argument
>resorts to ad hominem
typical neckbeardisms

>ad hominem
Typical teenager.

>still no argument and desperate for the last word
gg loser. carpe diem.

>still trying to dodge the fact he's a teenager

keep refreshing the thread and waiting for my reply :^)

I actually can't. It's utterly devoid of replay value, unless you want trophies, etc.

Am I just fucking retarded, or is DaS3 actually difficult?

Which bosses have you died to?

I beat most on my first try but I'm awesome (and this is my fifth Souls game).

Is this your first Souls?

Fuck man, I had problems with the very first boss before Firelink. Other than that, I've just been having a hard time going through Lothric, I'm about an hour or two into the game so far so maybe I'm just not used to it.

I've beaten DaS1 and played through a good bit of DaS2

3 was my first Souls game and it's still the easiest.
I died forty times to Crystal Sage.

Because you can't play Bloodborne
Because you have nothing else to play
Because you enjoy playing bad games

that's very weird then... honestly m8, since youve played through das1&2 before.

I found das3 very ez.

what weapon are you using? you want a fast r1 weapon in this game.

i beat crystal sage second try 2bh

I'm just using default Knight gear. Is that the wrong way?

Lower blighttown boi

How do people even defend this game?! IT HAS TWO entirely broken stats.
>working as intended
Fuck off
youtu.be/uiM48lb7n3A

>Lothric
So you haven't even beat the 2nd boss?
Cause once you gain access to a decent variety of weapons, it gets easier.
Also, don't worry about your armor, so long as you aren't fat-rolling with a 70%+ weight, you're fine.
Armor does fuckall nothing.

>I'm just using default Knight gear. Is that the wrong way?
no that's what i did. hmmm.

...you do understand that rolling has i-frames right?

just roll when you're about to get hit by an attack and it wont hurt you

Parts of it are challenging.

But there are mobs that are more difficult than some of the bosses. It's certainly not more difficult than DaS 1.

What makes it easier for me is that all the animations just seem better, so things are easier to roll out of.

I'm at 98% and my rolling feels fine. Also, I can finish most attacks without staggering.

I've never played through a single Souls games, DeS, BB, DaS1-3 more than once.

honestly there is no reason
there is no reason to keep playing at all after your first playthrough
the pvp is godawful worst in the series
and all the endings are really the same

poise does nothing in dark souls 3 its disabled
and armor doesn't really protect you at all
you can roll faster than you can in bloodborne in 3 so keep that in mind

>18:50:04
>18:55:12

Erm, >5 minutes.

>98%
Holy fuck user, unequip some gear and get under 70%, you will be amazed at the improved rolling.

This is actually wrong.
Poise is directly related to Hyper Armor.
Hyper Armor lets you finish attack animations with heavy weapons without being staggered. But, all weapons will break your Hyper Armor frames in one hit if you get hit early in the frame.
Poise ensures these early frames aren't broken cause very few weapons have enough Poise decay stat to work through even 10 Poise.
That said, Poise is basically useless versus anything that isn't a Gundyr's Halberd as a heavy weapon user.

I wasn't talking about poise, doesn't having a high equip load do that for attacks? I still get staggered if I just get hit or fuck up a roll, but generally if I get hut mid attack, my attack follows through. Especially in PvP, that's fine because I trade for a larger damage amount.

I've been trying to figure out what stat let's me do that better, and all I can think is my equip load.

I'm having a fine time like this, honestly. I was at below 30% before and it was boring.

idgaf about poise anyway it was a trash mechanic and im glad its more or less gone

It is.

DeS
>complete tutorial
>do these worlds in any order now, but you're forced to complete a -1 before -2
>kill final boss once you do all worlds

DaS
>complete tutorial
>ring these two bells in any order (which you can reach in various ways)
>complete this linear path to O&S
>kill these 4 dudes in any order (you could've killed one before if you wanted)
>kill final boss

DaS2
>complete tutorial
>fight and kill these four bosses which you can tackle in any order (or farm a fuckton of souls)
>gather 3 key items
>kill final boss

>BB
>complete tutorial, which is just a werewolf really
>kill these bosses in a very specific order
>your only options in the game are killing Gascoigne or Cleric beast first and which ending you get
>at least there are many side optional areas

>DaS3
>complete tutorial
>kill all these bosses in a specific order
>you may kill Wolnir before cathedral, but fuck you, you're forced o backtrack
>you may kill Dancer and dragonslayer armor, but fuck you, Gotthard isn't dead yet
>you must kill these 4 big guys, in the order we want you to
>your only option is whether to kill Yhorm or Aldrich first

Not to mention there are only 4 optional areas, one which is very short. DaS3 is incredibly linear and actively punishes you from not following its intended path.

This is sadly true. I wanted to love DaS3 as much as the first game, but it got really boring.

Nah, it's just hyper armor, it scales with nothing. If you do try to use smaller weapons nothing happens. I think fat rolls have HA too, but that's because you hardly ever manage to touch someone during a medium roll
