The original has a better script and the gameplay works better in 3D. The remake added nothing of value while making the dialogue worse (at least in English). Riku Replica's death in particular comes off as a lot less tragic and a lot more whiny. It's still a good game but I'll take the GBA version over the remake any day.

If you play the games in order you get to play the same worlds over again in cheap randomly generated fashion with a heavily watered down version of the plot. They didn't even bother adding any new worlds or stories, just made Sora and co lose their memories so they can do a shitty version of the same boring shit from kh1.

I get that only when the team has a solid game to produce they give it a number, but CoM is so incredibly important to the plot that if you jump from 1 to 2 you will spend most of the game asking yourself why and how.

I first played 2 without touching or knowing anything about CoM. To make things worse, the opening made it look like Namine was evil. It wasn't until the prologue ended that I got some sense of what was going on.

Yeah I got suckered by jews into playing the same game three times since most of CoM was ripped straight from KH1 and then yes, watered down and made even more bland and carefree and pointless compared to the plotlines we gave any shits about.

I never understood how the memory loss stuff worked. Like, did Sora just lose a chunk of past events the moment he walked into new worlds? Is that way he didn't recognize any of the characters when he stepped into places?

But did he then lose those memories of going into those new places again after he left?

It's in Disney's interests to cross promote their titles so I'd imagine they'd be pushing hard for titles with sequels and spin offs to get worlds.

Nomura's has said before that Disney doesn't really pressure them to add stuff in. Except for maybe the Chicken Little summon, but nothing specifically has been said about that. It's more that they have to run stuff by Disney to know what they can't do. And he's said in an earlier KH3 interview that Disney really hasn't said no to anything up until that point.

What did that have to do with me saying that Disney doesn't really tell them to put stuff in? Just because they're willing to find the original talent doesn't mean that they pressure Nomura to add stuff in.

And Alice sounded awful. I hope they replace her with a different VA. I am happy that they got Hercules' VA to reprise his role in KH2. His KH1 actor was off to say the least.

I don't know how that rumor got twisted around, but Aqua's exposed back was just something Nomura was tossing around and eventually got rid of, probably because it made no sense seeing as she's obvious wearing a corset. Considering how Nomura is in interviews, he would have just said if Disney made him change it, like he talked about Sora's original design and the chainsaw and other stuff he ran by Disney and that they didn't like.

It doesn't even exist in the JP version of the game so it's not a censorship issue, though there were examples of that in KH such as Xigbar's sniper rifle that was removed from NA Vanilla KH2, but added back in for NA KH2:FM or Axel setting himself on fire which was removed for Vanilla KH2 and stayed out for NA KH2:FM/
