No Man's Sky

How can it be possible to spoil a game where all you do is scan aliens and shoot rocks?

>Leaked gameplays
codepen.io/spAnser/full/wWxJGm/

We spent years waiting? I don't remember it being in development for that long

i most certainly dont remember waiting

They're worried people will see its a mediocre game and get turned off to it before they get paid

wait, how can you spoil infinite outcomes?

Well clearly there's more to it than you think.

Is there a yohoho version?

Of course. There's a trillion possibilities just waiting

ITT: shills

I remember years of them hyping up PROCEDURAL GENERATION

I can't wait to be surprised by blue grass.

>blue grass.

Mark that shit with spoilers bro I don't want to ruin the game for myself
!

...

...

What the fuck?
A practically "infinite" gameplay model and they're worried about a bit of fucking leaked gameplay.
Not to mention they've shown live gameplay footage for interviews.
The problem is, they know the subpar gameplay will put some excited people off.

It's been at the past 3 or 4 E3s

this screencap gonna kill him after the game will be shit

>Please don't spoil it for yourself :(
thats a funny way of saying 'please don't see the game looks like a disgusting, featureless mess before launch'

>pls buy our piece of shit before you see how shit it is :(

dat fov is killing me

>a game with procedural generated content can't have hard programmed content
Starbound does that now, and it's fun

it's been like literally 3 or 4 years

This

it got publicity a couple years ago for the first time, then the dev's office got flooded at Christmas. It sort of faded from the public for a year or two after that before coming back recently

starbound is fucking awful

what the fuck all he's doing is shooting rocks with a laser

Starbound is a fun if you're retarded.

what the fuck all he's doing is shooting rocks with a laser

what did he mean by this?

>you've spent years waiting
THIS ISN'T A POSITIVE AT ALL YOU LAZY FUCKING FUCKS

If it takes billions of years to explore this game what's the matterif I watch a few hours

>is a fun
Says the retard

>every animals says EEEEE EEEE

people preordered this shit?

Nah, I'm not gonna click any of these links. I hate getting spoiled and you faggots already did that for mgsv, so never again.

great, you woke up the shills and apologists

IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT THATS BECAUSE YOU DON'T HAVE EVERY UPGRADE YET GOD WHAT DID YOU ONLY PLAY FOR FIFTEEN SECONDS OR SOMETHING LIKE GEEZ

i've put in over 2 hours into 1.0 and I can't find more than 5 MM upgrade things, I need more ore to get movement upgrades, and the mission that you have to complete to unlock other planets features areas i can't traverse without the movement upgrades since you can't place blocks

>He isn't raiding settlements for chests and crates for ore

>Nah, I'm not gonna click any of these links. I hate getting spoiled and you faggots already did that for mgsv, so never again.
All the guy does in the gameplay is shoot at rocks with his laser

That's 90% of what you do in the game so what are you going to get spoiled on?

because you will start to see patterns arise
procedural generation cant just shit out Dune

i cleared out every container i can find, got 24 of the shard things and some good weapons but next to no ore and like i said, only 5 upgrade modules

I've been exploring underground but it's so fucking slow going since i can't craft a fucking pick and my MM is still unupgraded, and every cave bigger than a couple dozen square tiles is a giant vertical drop so i have to really fucking work slowly or risk dying and dropping all my shit, something that's happened way too much already.

It's almost at the point where i'd be further ahead starting over on a new planet. Way to put these dependencies on a single randomly generated planet, chucklefucks

>procedural generation cant just shit out Dune

As in, a planet covered in deserts? How come?

You can press square on an animal to feed it and there's a smiley face above its head

GET SPOILED FAGGOT

That shit already grows in Kentucky you asswipe.

I think he meant that NMS can't just shit out something as unique as the Dune series. Like the animals will never be as good as an actual sci-fi writer's creations.

>Like the animals will never be as good as an actual sci-fi writer's creations.

Well, duh. Not quite sure what the point in such a statement is. It's like walking into a dog breeding facility and arguing with the boss 'Well, these will never be horses.".

winrar

You SHOULD get enough ore just digging straight down.

Sadly, people are stupid enough to think that every planet is a unique experience and may as well be a different game. Just look at their reddit sub. It's a ridiculous hugbox.

Can confirm entire yard is bluegrass

T. Redneck

Translation. We have memes

>his state doesn't have amber waves of grain
Lincoln should have finished the job

>every planet is a unique experience

Is that implemented in such a way? I mean, from the set of all 'full' parameter vectors that define a planet in their system wholly and fully, does the 'galaxy designer' sample from a distribution, or is it a draw with no replace? In the latter case, the planet would literally be unique to the galaxy, in the former it just might be.

>Just look at their reddit sub.
Why would I do that?

I just want to enjoy my walking simulator in peace.

Spoilers ahead. I have had it for days

>go to green planet and do nothing
>go to blue planet and do nothing
>go to red planet and scan animals and do nothing
>Here is where it picks up because colors of planets start repeating. You will notice because you do nothing on them
>you do this nothingness on hundreds of planets
>reach the center of the universe to be let down along with others and you all then do nothing

Oh boy another chance to buy 'nothing: the game' again.

...

>It sort of faded from the public for a year or two after that before coming back recently
Didn't really fade at all.

Just got done watching the 23 minute gameplay. I'm extremely worried at the content of this game. Mining ores is relative to every aspect of what you do and it looks super fucking boring. Hopefully spaceship flying and combat get better otherwise I'm torrenting.

ITT: people pretend to own the game so they can """""""""""""""prove"""""""""""""""" how bad it is

you fags are as bad as the hypsters who claim this game will be playable for years because every planet is different

spot on

Did you actually read the post, or just the first line?

Jokes on them, I don't even have a next gen console and don't plan on buying one.

GOTY 2016 for sure

...

>LITERALLY 18 QUINTILLION PLANETS
>GONNA TAKE 5 BILLION YEARS TO EXPLORE IT ALL
>someone streams it
>OH NO DON'T SPOIL IT PLEASE :'''(((

Are they admitting that the game literally is the same planets and animals but in different colors?

I'll insert other cool thing alright

so does this rock shooting simulator have multiplayer or not?

P-please don't tear our Spore apart :'(

>scottish trans guy

I was skeptical, but the raw gameplay looks pretty interesting, worth the $30 investment anyway because if it gets dull I can always sell it towards something coming out in fall.

>please don't show things that aren't heavily controlled and manipulated!

Feeding the small creatures makes them follow you around and find stuff is kind of a spoiler

>that gameplay video
Wait is there zero physics in the game outside of the player and animals? He cuts right through a rock and it just stays in the air completely stationary

>Scottish
>Trans

No surprises there.

Anybody skeptical about this game just got BTFO.

Oh shit really? They actually follow you?

Now that I know that I don't think I can enjoy the game.

The rocks look terrible when you shoot at them

I'm heading to whataburger, you guys want anything?

Sean pls go

Oh wow, an actual gameplay feature. It would suck if people knew there were things to do in the game.

>$30

Where?

Is everybody assmad because the game relies on procedurally generated content?

>Now that I know that I don't think I can enjoy the game.
Buy our game user. We spent years crafting it. It would take you billions of years to beat! Think of all the content!

Yeah a better burger

Nothing for you then, you dirty memer.

Eric please leave

i'll have two numbers nine

DELETE THIS.

>takes 5 billions years to fully explore
>secrets on every corner
>even if people streamed it all day for 2weeks they wouldnt even explore 1% of the game

Why are they worried?

Streaming a game before released can seriously hurt the sales later.

People might end up wanting to watch instead of buying.

What makes you think they don't care? Sean M has asked him to remove this.

You guys are disrespectful to the developers.

I am out of this conversation. I wish not to further talk about immoral things.

What even constitutes "beating" a game like that anyway?

"Oh I've seen every possible pixel combination in this game. I've won the game"

because it's all procedural generated dogshit

>game is called No Men's Sky
>You literally can't play with other men (people)
Whoa... Bravo

>People might end up wanting to watch instead of buying

Or.... you know, people might end up changing their mind and actually buying the game if it's good enough.

Would you like a dipping sauce, such as Jalapeno Ranch or gravy?

They have something akin to minecrafts "ending"

This.
These games rely on the mass marketing bullshit to survive, people eat it up on launch and for at least 3 days, then it all shits the bed but at least they made their money

a number nine large

THE GROX ARE AT THE CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE

Those mouse controls on a gamepad....
Thats the dumbest move I have ever seen.

You "beat" it by reaching the center of the galaxy.
The reward is probably the same thing you get when showing Oak that you caught all 150 pokemon.

If the galaxy is infinite then mathematically it will eventually shit out Dune

What happens when you catch all 150?
