TLC is goat
2 is okay
3 is shit
I liked the original fables setting but fable 2 had the better gameplay. slimer being the bad guy for fable 3 was the worse and lionhead killing itself with the kinect crap and fable legends serves them right.
I prefer TLC the most and would love to play more Fable if they did it right.
TLC is one of my favorite games.
2 was really fun, wish I could play it again on PC.
3 is fucking terrible, literally one of the worst games ever made in my opinion. A complete waste of money. A game developed by absolute shiteaters for shiteaters.
4, a return to form, never ever.
Never managed to live up to its potential.

None of the other games happened.
TLC was a lot of fun. it hasn't aged as well as other games but whatever.3 but
1: strangely magical and awesome adventure.
2: Lacking in some of the original magic, but a fine game nonetheless.
3: An adequate game, just not for a fable game.
These were the only Fable games. Only these.
The first game was pretty good and the setting had plenty of interesting things to expand on.
The second game was alright. It made melee combat shit and dumbed down a lot of things, but it was alright. The whole Victorian era twist to it didn't feel that great either.
The third game made literally everything shit and focused too much on gimmick novelties like removing menus. The load times were annoying as fuck too. Anything that was interesting about the setting has long since been buried underneath a flood of Victorian sewage, both metaphorical and literal.
Any games after that might as well not even exist.
Fable 1 is the only game I can think of where you gained experience for things by doing them. Will xp for using Will and so on.
I thought that was amazing. The only problem being you almost always ended up being too rounded in the end. I juat finished a campaign focusing entirely on physical, but overflowing xp ended up turning me into a Mary Sue.
Good humor too.
I had fun playing the first two Fable games.
I dropped Fable 3 barely a few minutes into the game.
...every elder scrolls game does this
Was Anniversary a good upgrade?
What did it even change?
Added overpriced new weapons and armour
overall graphical 'update' which ruined the charm of everything
Out of the box controller support
I couldn't notice any changes with the music
Didn't fix any glitches like the infinite money scam
More like it never managed to live up to the hype people had about it.
Fable 1 and 2 are very enjoyable and worth playing atleast once if you enjoy that genre of game. Fable 3 is a disaster that should be ignored and avoided.
I bought Anniversary during steam sale. It was worth it. Full price I would say no graphics do not matter that much. On sale yes, plus the few extra quests are a nice bonus.
Best game is the first game, but all the games had their points
>first game has a lot more "heart" put into it
>spell casting is more than "hold button down"
>more interesting setting
>actually possesses a smidgen of a challenge
>2nd game
>guns are neat
>has SOME well thought out areas and characters
>started to hound down "not just evil for the point of being evil" with the spire
>3rd game
>Spell weaving is cool, even if its still "hold button down"
>2nd half of the game actually pushes not "being evil for the point of being evil" and actually has a well thought out story
>weapons are fucking horrible
I've always thought that Fable has all the tools to be an amazing game.
The devs really need to sort through the trilogy, find all the strong point in each game and integrate them together.
>tfw 2006 gave us such games like Fable TLC, Dark Messiah that innovated in many things and were fun as hell
Fucking 2007 ruined EVERYTHING
i thought the weapons in 3 were mindblowingly cool but i was pretty young. Still, i think if you knew how to build them, they'd be pretty good
>Fable 1 not hold button down
>go to scary abandoned house
>select lightning spell
>hold button down on nymph bitch
>continue holding button down when she goes NA'VI mode and is invincible
>lightning is not upgraded
>damage multiplier and blue exp for days
I like the game but it could very much be hold button down
What did Fable really innovate besides a cold hard lesson in hype?
Changing looks on your character depending on being good/bad
Scars
Kicking chickens
Loved the first one because I didn't folloe the hype and false promises, never played 2, 3 was dissappointing, playing the remastered anniversary edition was one of the best gaming experiences in recent memory.
The Fable series has been like one of the first games I enjoyed very much on the Xbox, the other titles in the series never hit me though
>Well thought out story
>Loghain doesn't explain why he needs the money.
People would tolerate a year of shit to defend from an invasion, far better than they would having a King seemingly turn evil with no end in sight
2 had far more weapon choices, I didn't like being locked to pistol/rifle and sword/axe
I mean sure you can do that but there was spells that you can cast instantly and combo into each other.
Like buffing your hits using multi strike, slowing down time and using assassin rushes to hit someone 700 times in a flash.
Can't really do that kinda stuff in later games.
>mfw PCucks will never EVER play Fable 2
>Fable 3
>i was pretty young...
>emulators dont exist
I'm actually an idort and have a X360 somewhere in my house and I played through Fable 2.
It was honestly weak as fuck.
Fuck it im just going to say it Bethesda should by the rights to Fable, I feel like they could do a good job
>Bethesda
>doing a good job
It wouldnt be as bad as Fable Journeys
>That chicken kicking minigame
>mfw I finally got the hat to go along with my title
I can't argue your other two points either now that I think about it.
>Trusting Bethesda to come up with a functional overworld or the same sense of humour.
I'd rather Monolith Soft, but that would never ever happen
how about a Obsidian middleground?
I had this exact same experience. Only a few minutes of 3 and just dropped it but loved the first two.
Friendly reminder that no weapon in the series can compare to this fucking thing
I don't know, never played an Obsidian game
We want a finished game, not a broken mess that has to be fixed by the community.
Fable trilogy in a nutshell.
Wasted opportunity: The series.
>started to hound down "not just evil for the point of being evil" with the spire
Hell, the Spire is my favourite bit, since it introduces 'Being good without reward'
I only played it once but Fable 3 ditched menus right?
I remember going to a shop and being annoyed I couldn't just look through a list of items.
Yeah, and your "pause" menu was a magic room you had to walk around.
And the load time for the room was atrocious and really ruined the flow of the game.
Is there a way to get controller support for the original without using KeyToJoy or something like that?
Jack had a better voice in TLC
his original voice didn't fit character design at all
>infinite money scam
