>Final Stage of Chapter 4
>Killing Usalia gets you a game over
Any advice? I want to grind but I don't want to worry about accidentally killing Usalia via a counter
Coven when
Will there ever be anther Disgaea game that's as good as the Vita version of 4?
>tfw you got well past chapter 4 in a Japanese copy of the game
>no clue who this Usalia person is since I don't speak moon
>don't remember having trouble in any chapter
Sorry, can't help you. I'm about to start the game on an English copy though.
At this rate we will never have a fun alternative like Phantom Brave and Makai Kingdom will we?
NIS is dying, so no.
it's the final stage of chapter 4,
I'm talking about that Neutral Unit, the bunny girl who's gone beserk
you have to keep her alive will defeating enemies, problem is she can attack you too, if you end up killing her, you get one of the bad endings, which could be a problem for characters that can counter
I was wanting to know any advice and if it's alright to grind to a high level via item world to get past this stage
Coven western release fucking WHEN?
so with terrible framedrops in item world?
The best we'll get is maybe getting lucky with the PC port of Makai Kingdom having the PSP extras.
Pick her up and throw her away. Heal her with Christo or whoever you made. Easy peasy.
why not just emulate PSP version? not like PC ports bring anything good to the table aside of mouse controls and fancy UI
throw her where? To a section where it will take here a while to get back up?
Also, again, can I go ahead and grind in the item world before tackling this or will I just make the stage harder? Can't remember if you counter Yellow units if they attack you
Pretty sure there's a map in whatever chapter had the poison beach that's made for grinding. All the enemies are sitting on bonus xp tiles and you just aoe them all in one turn.
>Disgaea is the best SRPG series ever! You have to play it!
Turns out to be decidedly mediocre and terribly balanced
>No, Disgaea 2 is where the series gets good! It's a million times better than the first!
Turns out to be the exact same shit
>The Disgaea series isn't very good, but NIS' other games are amazing! Phantom Brave and Soul Nomad are some of the most unique and best designed SRPGs ever!
Phantom Brave turns out to be decidedly mediocre and terribly balanced
>But Soul Nomad is NIS' true magnum opus and masterpiece of the genre!
I'm getting tricked again, right? Just tell me the truth this time.
That is the best option. I'm just curious if they will do that though since the west never got that version and I can't really see them putting that much work into the port.
>Just tell me the truth this time.
maybe you just don't like sRPG
it's okay, not everyone should
Isn't there fan translate patch for PSP version? Most of translation was brought from PS2 ver if I recall correctly.
...
so grind to high levels, toss Usalia as far away as possible when she gets close, and heal when possible, Correct?
You seem to be the type who want to love these games but simply can't. Take it from a guy with OCD who try to play open world games like Morrowind, some games weren't simply meant to be. Learn quickly what you actually can and can not play and stick with that you can deal with or else you just wasting a ton of time and possibly money for nothing.
For what it is worth though Soul Nomad have you create small units instead of controlling characters one by one. More like Tactics Ogre if you ever play that.
what would you guys like to see in the next Disgaea game?
I'd like to see the next Disgaea game.
Also an Angel MC.
Maybe start the game in Celestia too.
How do I make Usalia good? She does shit damage
Beast master, I missed them in Disgaea 5 while I enjoy armor and magic knight being improved with unique skills I had used one in D4 for most of the main game and DLC.
Marjoly making a comeback. Or some other Marl Kingdom character as recruitable. Lately it just feels NIS is leaving that series behind, while still giving attention to La Pucelle, Soul Nomad and Makai Kingdom.
Or, well, maybe since La Pucelle could be considered part of Marl Kingdom, they consider it shooting two birds with one stone or something.
Also, whatever happened to the Medic and Necromancer classes from D4?
Are you actually diagnosed with OCD or are you one of those faggots that are like "lol I'm soooooooo OCD xPPP" Because actual OCD is horrifying to live with.
I just dealt with it by having my squad really compact and using AoE heals to help my guys out whilst healing usalia as well, I used Killia and a lady samurai to clear out the platform on the far side of the stage and tanked usalia and healed
Is Nis back to profits or are they dead?
Disgaea 2 D2 or Disgaea D2 on vita
but Disgaea 2 had some of the most bland characters out there from series
aside of Axel and Director
Let's better make full game about Axel or Asagi
Disgaea 2 D2 with a side story where Majin Hanako is the MC
I only played 4 and 2 so I wouldn't know what the other characters are like but I like most of the D2 crew.
i want this because I would love to see what that training with Etna was like.
The armored suits from D4 back, they were my favorite standard unit
D3 was so easy to break...
>unlosing ranger will never get another sequel
>deathman is an endgame boss in one of the disgaea games but has no respawning unlosing ranger getting stronger and stronger
>it's predecessors fucked it up even with the waifu/husbando assist system
...
dark engineers
So, how's Phantom Brave? Must buy or pirate?
>pirating Maronakins' game
You heartless bastard
BITCHES DON'T KNOW SHIT ABOUT ZHP
My nigger
Witch and Hundred Knight 2. Literally 1-2 years away.
If Hundred Knight doesn't smash some witch pussy like he use to as a God in this game I'm going to be mad.
What's it gonna be about? Metallia's story was conclusive enough.
How were the sales for Disgaea 5? They were yelling that if it didn't sell, the company was dead.
Also, how is their migration to PC gaming? After the atrocious port of the first game, are they trying again?
I just hope they improve the gameplay. The atmosphere and ost are god-tier and I actually enjoyed the story, but the game was such a chore to actually play
First game was fucked up from steam's beta opt in, had nothing to do with the actual port
They're really pumping out the Vita titles. I wish they would do more home console game other than Disgaea, though
This is a ninja
Anybody play this? I can't think of a game in recent memory that released this quietly. Is it bad? I played the first and it was alright
Is witch and the hundred knight good? Don't hear much about it
It has one of Tenpei Satos best soundtracks and the artstyle is excellent. It has a nightmare before christmas feel to it. The story is entertaining. The characters are good. Unfortunately, the gameplay is just bad. It's as bare bones as possible and incredibly repetitive
Damn I played the demo and was liking the characters and atmosphere but yeah actual gameplay was pretty dull
It stays like that for the entire game too. You do gain these things called Tochka that do random shit, but they're useless outside of a few environmental uses that are as simple as can be
Really? Which ones?
I just went by their wikipedia page. They developed 5 vita games this year so far
So did I, publish isn't the same as develop.
I know. NIS is listed under "developers" for these games
Be great if this gets a pc port, but its a big if.
I just hope they release a working game instead of giving the bird to the customers.
I actually imported the Revival edition, which was my first time playing the game and it didn't have any problems. I feel sorry for people who bought the original, though. NISA seriously needs to get their act together
They could've just given revival for free to original owners. I couldn't even get past chapter 1 because of the crashes.
Still, I hear that some people still have the problems in revival edition.
