There was no good reason to get involved with Skyrims non existent ''plot''

I wanted Ulfric's clothes

Are you implying I didn't?

Stop projecting, elf

>skyrim for the nords
>black marsh for the argonians
>cyrodiil for everyone
Fuck off.

They started a civil war over nothing

Because that would be playing right into the Thalmors plans.

Because Nords are barbarians, some civilization would do them good.
There isn't even a single fucking toilet around or a bath for that matter, I can only imagine how it must smell to walk around them.
Fucking uncivilized animals.

>not wanting the best house

This and
>killing the king of an otherwise would be stable province and throwing a tantrum when no one agrees with you

I'm buying the ps4 version coming out along with the bioshock collection.

Nation-states based around genetic heritage is an outdated concept, like Israel.

I make it a point not to join any army I can singlehandedly kill.

>t. milkdrinker

I did

>Empire was founded by Nords
>the only reason the Empire existed was so that Akatosh could grant the Septims the dragon blood and hold back Oblivion
>the Septims were Nords
>Septims die off
>Oblivion gates sealed
>Amulet of Kings destroyed

Give me one good reason for the Empire to exist.

The dragonborn isn't that strong outside of his voice, find something to seal that and you've just got a stronger than average person.
I seriously doubt he'd be able to take on his own one company let alone an entire army.

Because this is what the Nord's consider a city

Nord equivalent of 'cuck'

The Empire encourages continent-wide trade, enforces the law, protects people's rights and discourages petty wars from local tyrants.

Of course I supported them

#MakeSkyrimGreatAgain

>Ebony Blade maxed out
>Ebony Mail
>fully enchanted Restoration/Illusion cost reduction gear
>Amulet of Talos and Time Slow
>Lifesteal and poison AOE everything to death while regenerating health like a mad cunt and making entire groups of enemies start murdering their comrades
As long as there's something to hit they can't die, and in the event things start going south they can just turn invisible at will.

And can't even fight sissy elves lmao

Puppets of the Thalmor without even knowing it.

Yeah yeah you're talking about the game not the plot, if we've used that we'd have to accept there are bandits stronger than the Alduin himself due to level scaling.
And anything you can do another character can as well.

I think if the nords win the war they have a very hard time winning a war against the Thalmor.

On the other hand a united Empire has a better chance of winning the same war.

Then after the war everyone can have a cute elf maid sex slave.

second post best post

Why discuss something if the argument itself is garbage?

>murder knife-ears and doesn't afraid of anything

>puppets of the thalmor

I want empire posters to leave

Stormcloaks are the equivalent of post defeat sandniggers
Hell those elf were too kind, I would have totally abolish their religion and totaly exterminate them if it was too much problem to keep them alive
Even with the right idea elfs pussy out whent it comes to going to the last resorts, worthless as always

The knife ears are tricking him into murdering them in a fine display of HURR I WAS ONLY PRETENDING TO BE RETARDED (NO REALLY LOL THANKS FOR FALLING FOR IT FAGGOT)

I wanted to be a roman legionnaire instead.

Actually no, in the thalmor dossiers it's spefically stated that neither a stormcloaks or empire victory would be a good thing for the thalmor

They didn't do it the first time because the Empire has shitty and cowardly leadership. The Stormcloaks are a better army than Imperials could ever put together.

>Kill Ulfric Stormfag
>Kill the bitch ass emperor

get fucked swits

>Stormcloak
>do everything now you're a fucking hero

>Legion uhrm Imperials
>do everything your empire demands it
>now kill biggest dragon bro

The Thalmor are using them to make the Empire lose time and prepare for the inevitable war. That's why Ulfric got away from the Dominion's hands, they let him go, heck, at Helgen Tulius doesn't trust the Thalmor and wants to see Ulfric's execution personally, he is afraid if he leaves him with the elves they will release him again.

Because real Nords are not fair weather friends who abandon their millennia long ally in their hour of need.
The Empire has always been good to the Nords and the Nords to the Empire.

>t. niggerelf sucking Argonian cock

Didn't your homeland blow up?

You should go back there and stop polluting mine with your elven filth

Ulfric is a little punk ass bitch, that's why.

oh heeey

Because I'm not some buttblasted right wing retard like in this picture.

Both factions are shit, but the nords are pretty much hillbillies who want the other races out of skyrim and many think Skyrim belongs to the nords.

because i only just bought skyrim today after finishing the hot mess that is oblivion

>that level system doh

A redguard becomes king of the empire in the next game because we're 2progressive4u now.

The Nords ARE the Empire. The neo-Empire of the 4th Era is an illegitimate shitshow run by Imperials and serving Elven cock. When the Stormcloaks inevitably secure Skyrim, Akatosh will send a new savior to lead the Nords to victory across Tamriel and rebuild their Empire from the ground up.

ave

>get told by everyone he can shout
>never see him shout unless you fight him

...

But the niggers of elder scrolls are cats.

Redguards are cool.

Because while infiltrating that one place I found evidence that he was inadvertently aiding the Thalmor, and because I thought an empire United would be stronger against the Thalmor.

Aren't Redguards privileged ?

Khajits are Muslims. All that matters is that redguards are black. They're going to be heroes.

t. Talos denier

Todd is the embodiment of hate and dispare.

Redgaurds are bros though

Honorable warrior culture similar to Nords

One of the few other races that deserve to live desu, plus since they're sand people Nords and Redgaurds will never fight over land

The good thing about fantasy games is they can be unrealistic

Because the game tries to hard to make Imperials look bad.

im just surprised that you think that anyone would follow an 'empire' where their emperor is Ulfric. he is incapable of running an actual empire the size of skyrim (even if he could conquer it), let alone Tamriel if he ever can get far enough. High Rock wouldn't recognize him, he couldn't get Khajiit to side with him, same with Argonians. he might get some Dunmer if he is smart (kek) but the empire under Ulfric would literally just him being High King of an unstable province

Because I became a nightingale instead. Because the game begs the player to steal everything you see.

Before Ulfric was manipulated by the Thalmor into throwing his little shit-fit the Empire was able to ignore a lot of the provisions of the treaty from the last war. Nords were actually able to openly worship Talos, the Elves didn't really have any way to stop it.

So of course the fucker kills the High King and gives the Wizard Elf Nazis the right to waltz on in and supress the fuck out of Talos worship. And his rebellion weakens the Empire by dividing its attention and threatening to lose their grasp on Skyrim entirely.

I didn't really have a problem with some of their goals like restoring Talos worship but they created a lot of the problems they were bitching about. Ulfric especially was an epic retard. Skyrim is better off as part of the Empire and the Empire needs to be strong to oppose the Wizard Elf Nazis who want to end the world.

Talos (founder of the empire) appears to the neravarine in morrowind and tells him that the empire will soon find it's end

It's LITERALLY a sinking ship. Hammmerfell and morrowind already seceded. Valenwood and Elsweyr are basically thalmor territory. Black marsh was never really into it in the first place.

That leaves Cyrodiil, High rock, and skyrim

Ulfric isn't Dragonborn, so he would never be Emperor. Even then, what's so bad about him? The Thalmor succeeded and their foreign policy screams "I'M THE BAD GUY"

>Ulfric isn't Dragonborn

Neither is the guy who's the Emperor now. That line ended with Martin Septim in Oblivion.

>Even then, what's so bad about him?

He's a retard. Literally everything he does plays right into the Thalmor's hands.

Dragons ruined The Elder Scrolls, prove me wrong.

>implying that you have to be dragonborn to be emperor

since the oblivion crisis, you don't need to be dragonborn or be descendant from them to be emperor for any real effect.

>what's so bad about him

nothing that he does in game or we get from talking to other people indicate that he could make even a decent political leader on a large scale. he could manage a hold just fine, maybe all of skyrim if he get's his act together.

but he couldn't lead a multi-species empire when he can't even make sure that the non-nords in his own hold are not getting shafted

no, the execution of dragons in-game ruined it.

Freedom of religion

Anyone know what they actually changed in the ps4 release? Did try add extras to it and balance the game differently?

skyrim was the second best Tes after morrowind

prove ME wrong

Starting the rebellion might seem stupid but in the long run it might be better for skyrim (not for the empire)

It's specifically stated by the thalmor that both a stormcloaks and empire victory is to be avoided. Either one would be bad, they want the war to continue. Which is why they planned to free ulfric before alduin swooped in.

However, independent hammerfell managed to hold off the thalmor. Defending skyrim would be even easier for the nords. There's very few mountain passes that are the only way to enter the country, and nords have a natural advantage in snow and cold.

Plus, they've got a god on their side.

Isn't that better than being spread thin all across the empire's lands??

And the redaction of every story and significant event in history to "a dragonborn did it" isn't a problem at all?

>be high elf
>still allowed to join Stormcloaks, purchase a big ass house and rise the ranks to be Ulfric's left hand.

I dunno why people think they're so racist. Seems pretty inclusive if you ask me.

>that line ended with Martin Septim in Oblivion

Hence why it's a neo-Empire. Martin was a Dragonborn Nord, as was Uriel, and Talos. Ever since the Elder Council came to power after Martin's death the Empire went to shit. High Elves and Imperials can't run an Empire. Nords can.

Dragons

It looks nicer

>Anyone know what they actually changed in the ps4 release?

Mods + engine update. That's it. It's a remaster, not a remake.

they weren't that bad

nothing compared to oblivions shit-tier scaling

and they were a small part of a much larger game

Not to mention how the dark elves were given the Snow quarter for free, which at the time was the most beautiful part of the city (and they're the ones who ruined it)

Or how about the high elf merchant who earned the windhelm resident's respect

Or the dark elf farmer who employs nords outside the city who says that most of his kin spend more time complaining than trying to improve their lives

Or how about the only time you see a racist act being committed is by two drunk hobos, not by stormcloak soldiers

>fight against the stormcloaks with imperials
>lydia screams SKYRIM BELONGS TO THE NORDS

As enemies I have no complaints. But their hamfisted insert as a crux to the game's story and game-play not only makes them tedious and unimpressive during play, but also shows how generic and uninteresting they are in the few dragon characters and lore.

>And the redaction of every story and significant event in history to "a dragonborn did it"

huh?

unless you are talking about people with dragon blood, not necessarily the soul which makes them a Dragonborn.

but i don't know what your talking about

>Martin
>nord

looks pretty fucking imperial to me user.

better together.

Valid.

But its still a better game tbqh w/u fampai, despite annoying dragon shit
>which i also hated

TES6 needs to lose the dragons, and go back to morrowind tier RPG openness

my biggest gripe with oblivion and skyrim were the unkillable npcs

All the Septims are Nords

Because they're racist!
#NotAllElves
#StopMerPhobia

Nope. Empire is a sinking ship. Better to jump off and swim away.

Ulfric may be slightly power hungry but for the most part he is genuinely fighting for his people. He won't be around forever anyways.

Yes.

>Civil War because of MUH TALOS

what these shitbags don't know its that this will make Skyrim an easy prey for Dominion

These stupid fucks are even helped by the Dominion

Because I don't support Altmer Dominion puppets? Weakening the Empire is literally the worst outcome for Tamriel.

That's completely untrue

Two homeless drunks in windhelm are racists. Are they stormcloaks soldiers or actively helping them? Nope. They just live in the same city

Stormcloaks are the muslims of the north. I don't support their jihad.

>Siding with Snow niggers who chimp out because shit doesnt go their way.
Nope

Just like Hammerfell, right?

Both outcomes are to be avoided by the thalmor. They want the war to continue

Like it or not, the empire is at it's end. This has been foretold since morrowind. If the thalmor are defeated, either the empire will go down with them, or the empire won't be the ones who defeat them.

Expect the next game to focus on something like that, and then building a "New" empire or some shit.

>Starting the rebellion might seem stupid but in the long run it might be better for skyrim (not for the empire)

Nope.jpeg.

The reason the Thalmor weren't doing much in Skyrim originally was that they were tied down in Hammerfell. That situation is starting to change because they're steadily gaining the upper hand.

The only way Skyrim would gain any independence from anything related to Ulfric's actions is that he had a minor role in the rise of the Dragonborn by being in the same area. If Skyrim stays independent it'll be because the Dragonborn and/or Paarthurnax are too hard-core for the Thalmor to fight. Most if not all of the dragons swear to follow Parthy at the end of the game and good fucking luck trying to take on a dragon army lead by the Dragonborn. Or, if Parthy is dead, trying to invade a Skyrim that's been galvanised by a hero straight out of myth.

But absent that, all the Thalmor need to do is divide and conquer. The dividing part is almost done by the start of the game, thanks to Ulfric's retardation.

>If the thalmor are defeated, either the empire will go down with them,

Then it is a good day to die. Take the knife ears with us.

None of that happens in the game. You're imaging all that. We don't know what happens AFTER the game yet.

I'm just going off of evidence that is stated within the game and surrounding lore.

Both the empire and stormcloaks are valid choices, but considering how the empire is supposed to end soon I don't think they will "win".

See
uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Wulf

imperials and nords are almost the same thing, Tiber Septim was a nord but by the era of Uriel VII (and probably well before that) they were imperials

Is there any way to peacefully resolve the conflict? Or do they just do a temporary truce to help you out with Alduin?

I'm sure the Thalmor are fighting to sleep at night knowing they failed to capture the Coon Dunes.

Morthal is Imperial user.

Hammerfell was only maintaining its independence because a whole bunch of Imperial Legions were retired and everyone in them decided completely on their own to move to Hammerfell and engage in a resistance there.

Skyrim ain't got any of that shit. The Empire needs all the legions it has to defend itself, if Skyrim secedes it can't stand on its own *and* the Empire will also fall.

And then the Elves win, and start trying to unmake the world so they can be sparkly immortal spirits again instead of being tied to horrible mortal fleshy bodies in a world they have to share with icky dirty disgusting humans (and Khajit, and Argonians, and...).
