Glass cannons are the most fun characters to play as.

Prove me wrong.

Entirely depends on the game, in some it is entirely impossible to avoid damage with the playstyle provided making you a nuisance at best

I can't. The risk/reward aspect of playing them is always great. There's always a certain rush to playing them, knowing that I'm playing as a character who can either outright suck or be one of the best characters in the game in the right hands.

It's too bad that I still suck with them most of the time.

>can either outright suck or be one of the best characters in the game in the right hands.
That's a great description of a glass cannon, exactly how I feel

>Prove me wrong.

As said, it depends on the game. Shitloads of games ruin this archetype because of bitchy pvp'ers. In the end we get glass cannons that die quickly because of the design, but deal mediocre damage because "muh balance".

Pic related, bad players who whine about glass cannons on forums.

I find that playing characters like that i am too vulnerable to one-shot characters or lucky shots. Either way, when i get killed in a game o prefer to know exactly what killed me before it happens so i can do my best to prevent it. This is why i prefer high-health characters who has enough health to turn around after being shot in the back. I feel like that way i can actually put up a fight.
Not as much in single player games however, then you have the advantage of rarely getting one-hit killed by something that was never on your screen.
That all being said, it's not that i prefer to play fast/high DPS characters now and then.

I tend to most enjoy single player games where the player character is glass canon-like.

eh, in some games it just makes the whole battle a coin flip. either you win in the first few seconds or you die. might as well just watch the story on youtube at that point.

If you have even a little bit of defense at all, you're doing it wrong.

Fuck you, turtle builds for life. I ain't restarting cause I die in one hit

Fuck you. All into Defense and Speed.

>not wanting to abuse base damage and % of health bullshit while being nigh untouchable and nigh impenetrable

...

inb4 sonic the hedgehog joining the battle

Stay mad, Johnnyfag. Bumpsybros where we at

>Not being perfect

>I tend to most enjoy single player games where the player character is glass canon-like.
This is so hard to find in single-player games.

Ninja Gaiden, I feel, does this pretty well. Though on harder difficulties, bosses get way more health anyway.

Yes. Living on the edge is amazing. Like you only have 1 hit left before death then boom you took the first shot and killed the fucked. Def and Vit fags are casual players.

SPEED FOR LIFE

Mind reminding me what I should be mad about?

This game was underrated af. One shotting bosses was the best feeling

I can say they are fun but i'm not gud enough unfortunately.

However high DEF, high ATK characters have that "You are up against the wall, and I AM THE MOTHERFUCKING WALL!" to them.

>not going full defense and laughing at the enemy throwing toothpicks at you.

There's no worse feeling than being totally decked out in the best offensive gear you have and being good at what you do and then this motherfucker just isn't phased by anything you do to him.

Fuck off loser

>Reinhardt

I love playing relatively slow, beefy characters in games with high mobility in general. You're still mobile enough to get shit done, but you can do huge amounts of damage in the right situation and cause a lot of trouble. Especially if your character's mobility skill is in one huge burst, like a teleport or dash with a significant cooldown. It's the very definition of "SURPRISE MOTHERFUCKER!"

Otherwise I go glass cannon where you can avoid damage completely if you have good reactions.

>Speed + Defense
What's the fucking point?
Speed + Attack is a good combination because speed helps you attack faster so both stats kinda compliment each other. What does Speed do for fucking Defense? Are there games where speed + defense a good idea?

speed + defense is hard to kill and can bully if they at least have some attack

>Fzero X
>Body: E
>Boost: A
Most ass clenching experience of my life

I could see it as a good "war of attrition"-style character. You whittle your opponents down to nothing while being a huge bother and running circles around them. Good example of that right here.

blink-tanks

...

Maybe you have poison, or some other win-con that just involves outlasting your opponent. I think the butterfly set from DS2 did this

Can I help prove you right instead?

>when you ping the tracer or ulting Genji to a wall out of nowhere

>when you pin their whole fucking team to your turret out of nowhere and kill them all with rockets and your giant robo-claps

Can't prove you wrong.

Glass cannons have always been a monster to play with and against in the right hands. They're also the most fun to play because of the risk that's weight upon you and the mobility you have to use at your full potential. Too bad I'm shit with them, but that's what practice is about.

Jimmy is nice but Yoolip is the best overdrive.

>tfw the name of your nauts team is in the giga sentoori skin

we Zurians now

>"Stunned by my genius I see!"
>gets eaten alive by rabid robo-dinosaurs

I don't play him a lot but good lord if there was ever a good comedy character Yoolip is it.

I use that skin all the time, where is it?

Who /tanky/ here?

Tank + Attack and no speed is the best combination to play as, prove me wrong.

>slow but extremely satisfying basic attacks which have weight and feel to them
>have to look for enemy openings to strike due to the slow attacks that can leave you vulnerable
>can survive enemy aoe damage and can take a decent amount of hits while still being killable

right on the chest

Here here!

>Become a turret and bullet sponge for your team.

>glass cannon
>attack isn't maxed
>defense isn't fully minimized
Are you retarded?

Is Reaper glass canon? Or is he not slow enough?

That's not being tanky, that's straight up full defence and tank.

That's awesome, congrats famalam. Now I get to see your team name every time I play Sentry. I love playing most of the characters in this game, it's easier to name ones I don't like actually. Sentry's always my go-to though. Well, him and Chucho.

If you're curious, Gnaw, Clunk, Yuri, and Genji are probably the only characters I really dislike.

desu non-mech dva probably fits the role better. Sick gun and no hp combined with poor mobility.

By turret I mean I can dish shit tons of damage while taking it but I can't move very far.

Best play style I love doing. That or being a healer who is also tanky.

>cheating

More like

>Getting your character softbanned, or people stop playing your game.

Thanks, but we disbanded, I'm married and work full time so by now i only play casual nauts and otherwise play overwatch and 3ds.

I love post weedbirth dmg Gnaw and Clunk, Sentry alone isn't bad but Sentry premades are the most painful things in the game.

Ahh I see now brother. It is truly the best style of play, better than the glasscucks getting killed by the slightest aoe.

Yeah that shit's fucking gross. No big deal, just Sentry + Nibbs BHS -> flame breath teamwipes every 10 seconds.

That's okay though. You get to go home and be a family man.

Depends on the game, but I almost always prefer offense and speed over defense.

What mmo has the most fun glass cannon? rouges and stealth classes not allowed

Do WoW frost mages count?

>has a good summon with damage/hp that scales with your character
>CC out the ass
>one-shotting shit with multistrike crits on frozen targets

>can't put a dent on them
>if you manage to whittle them down they just sanic away and you have no hope of ever catching them
>they can later return and harass you some more
It might be useless as all shit but in any pvp scenario it's the most annoying kind of shit imaginable
10/10 would pick to make people lose the will to play and win my battles outside of the battlefield
