What's the best weapon and why?
>So what's the deal here?
Aisha best girl.
Aerial or Adept Hammer?
I started with Aerial and Adept looks sick, but which is better?
Stop spreading this filthy lie.
>tfw just blew almost 100 bucks on ASMR on dlsite
The only thing filthy is your opinion about who is number one. Marm is two
after going adept hammer I am very reluctant to use any other style unless a monster I wanna farm has a subquest of mounting and toppling twice.
I want to make Marm my wife!
Bow, by far.
Because you reach G-Rank tier damage with Teostra Bow, Load Up, Rapid Up, True Shot Up and Focus.
Adept evade gives you a lvl 4 charge and all bows have power shots now.
You shit on every monster with little effort.
For melee the Lance, SnS and DB.
Aerial for mounting sub quests
Adept for everything else
I use both. They're both great.
>Love bow and Teo
>want to use bow but dont want to be a bitch
Might just use Steve bow if its still viable since i really like pierce and its design. Then again I should play our of LR
But those rubies man
Hub and Bherna women are so boring. Theyre all study and no play
IT'S TIME
>when your LS goes red and you start tearing the monster a new one
Is Handicraft still pretty much mandatory? The weapons with innate S+2 look like they got pretty garbage white.
And why is Sharpness +2 even a thing now?
Keep your mind off of it, and I promise it will eventually come out.
I've watched this video like 5 times before, and I prefer HH since MH4U, and it still fucking pumps me up.
...
Either they probably thought Handicraft was too dominant or think splitting it into two tiers could make things interesting
And then they made some weapons with full sharpness bars or eventually get it.
I shall user
MH will consume my life for the next few months anyway
S+1 is half of what the old S+1 used to be
S+2 is the original S+1
They changed it because it was the meta and literally everyone had that skill
Handicraft was split into two so it isn't an automatic skill on any Blademaster build, it's too expensive now.
Absolute Readiness paired with Razor Sharp is absolutely insane for keeping up that sliver of blue or white. I rarely ever sharpen mid-battle anymore. Just for good measure when a monster flees.
>And why is Sharpness +2 even a thing now?
Probably a small nerf to disincentivize everyone and their mother going for sharpness on every set (which was pretty much required for 4U for good damage, disregarding natural purple weapons).
Then after that, if you are interested in MHStories taking up some of your time (if you haven't seen it, really check it out, it's pretty sick, but that's just cause I'm a gen 1 pokemon fan and general RPG fan), then pray that Capcom brings Stories to the West.
>S+1 is half of what the old S+1 used to be
Oh, okay. That makes sense. I guess it's a welcome change since I'm actually debating whether it's worth investing into now.
>Quit
>Warning: Any unsaved progress will be lost!
>Would you like to save your game?
Wyverians are disgusting.
Attack up L is better
Steve bow has rapid.
If you want pierce bow go with Silverwind Narga bow.
But the skill setup will be diferent since power shots arent as effective with pierce.
You are better off using Guild Style also for the backdive to get better distance for critical distance.
You should aim for Silverwind Armor, Silverwind Bow which gives you.
Evade Distance Up
Evade +2
Wich is nice since you are using Guild Style isntead of adept
Also Critical Eye +3 (+65 affinity total for the bow) and Critical Up (criticals do 40% mor dmg instead of 25%).
For the charm you will need a FastCharge+6 to 8 charm with 00 slots (if 8) or 000 (if 6 or 7).
I think that was the plan; adding balanced variety to MH games is good for the series.
I'm bored, so here's a Sakura Charm Farming room.

Familiarize yourself with the following method if you haven't done so already.
As if I didn't hate him enough already, that fucking dirtbag Gypceros stole the one lightcrystal I had found in my hour or so of farming. Is there any way to get it back or do I just have to suck it up and live with it?
Bash his head in.
Gypceros has a decent chance at dropping one if you break his head thingy. I think he might be able to drop one even if you don't though.
I know if black palicoes steal shit from you it shows up in their little secret stash spots though.
Does this game have a Tanzia Chip/Mosswine Jerky equivalent?
>Connection lost.
Sushifish
How hard is it to get into a bow? I've never used a ranged weapon in the series before.
I forgot Tanzia Chips existed. What was their purpose?
Sends me for a loop every time.
Have you guys ever felt trapped by a weapon? Like its the only one you can ever use and get decent times?
I can't get decent times with Gunlance, lance, hammers and HH.
My best weapons still get me >15 minute kill times in 4U's G rank. I'm not trapped by a weapon, I'm trapped by my lack of getting good.
Playing gunner is ez mode if you play online since the monster wont be focused on you all the time and you shit damage.
Bow's the easiest to get into since it has unlimited ammo unlike bowguns. You still have to manage coatings, but it's simpler than having to consider 30 different types of ammo. Though bows do have to worry about stamina, which bowguns could give two shits about.
Simple.
They healed red health. Handy for when you get slapped by something hard as shit or let poison eat away at you too much. Mosswine in 4U also healed bleeding.
Fairly easy. You slap power coatings, charge, run around, aim at a weakpoint, then shoot is the most basic gameplay.
Getting good is being consistent with critical distance, weakpoint shots and dodging attacks.
>get confused by having two quests up
pffffft
Do bows still require you to track 30 different parameters when picking one?
>Okay, I need a piercing water bow
>No, this one's too weak, it's early game
>Okay, this one's water, but not piercing
>This one's water but only charge level 1 and 2 are piercing
>This one only has piercing 1 for charge level 3
>This one has piercing 2 for charge level 3, but it can't use power coatings
etc
>You can get Slickaxes from Coal Hearted
Neat
>tfw no mhgenerations on vita
>Is it Teostra's?
You're still at it?
You're a sad man, user.
Sushifish doesn't heal ALL of the red bar though. It only heals a very small portion and helps speed up the red's recovery. Cooked Fish does but it has longass eating animation.
I miss Mosswine Jerky.
in gen its
>is my bows lvl3 charge rapid arrow type?
>does it have power coating?
until you get teostra bow
>Sharpness +5
>Handicraft +5
>No slots
Fun!
FUCK this FUCKING cuck.
"hurr I'm gonna spend half the fight underground :)"
"hurr I'm leaving this area hurr I'm leaving this area I just got to to go back to the one we just came from hurr"
"hurr l o d s of e d m g what's that spell BREAK OUT THOSE POTIONS MOTHERFUCKER"
I hate everything about Nibelshit. Except the name, "Nibelsnarf" is very fun to say.
No.
Get to 3 star guild.
Search for a Teostra room.
You will probably need to hunt only one to build the bow.
Once you get to Guild 5 you can upgrade it to max and its by far the best bow in the game.
...
Just how many variations of Rathalos do we need.
Just fish him up and wail on him! What's the big deal?
fucking poorfags
We need to can them all because they're shit.
Not enough. Waiting for that extreme species of Rathalos in Frontier.
>FastCharge +5 OOO
Wooo! Yay! My bow set will love this!
Anyway that was so much faster and more efficient than eating for Explorer and mining blue nodes holy shit. I've been doing it wrong the entire time.
W A I T I N G.
You have to WAIT for him to come above ground. You have to WAIT for him to explode/stop going back under. You have to WAIT for him to be fucking hittable. You have to WAIT for him ALL the fucking TIME, when it's absolutely trivial to dodge any of the attacks he does out of that state. It's boring and unnecessary.
>Tried out Aerial DB
>Spin2win
Why is this so fun?
>village requests in the hub are just like urgents
>there's also a double urgent
Looks like capcom really gave the middle finger to everyone that complains about this system.
lordly deathcap
Step 1. Bring bombs.
Step 2. youtube.com
Get sonic bombs and turn it into free damage.
Three slots vacant.
In solo play I'd still get Explorer or something and then mine #1 for the additional two coals just out of convienence. But yeah, you can get a fuckton of charms under two minutes with four people.
Is there an MHG Dex mobile app yet?
how do you unlock coal hearted?
I have one called mhgen guide
Wouldn't it be better to get Challenger +2 than Rapid Up and True Shot Up?
Sounds good enough to me.
Time to get maximum comfy, and hunt in bed.
>redhelm arzuros
>"it's probably just a recolored arzuros"
>get my ass handed to me
I was not expecting that.
>nothing good from any of those runs
At least I got a ton of zenny.
>Pull sword from Kokoto
>Village 6 Tigrex quest from Pokke
>Hub 5 quest Desert Brawler (Daimyo, Ian, Nibel) from Yukumo
>HR6
Anyone from HR4 or above may join
That's the rip off with incorrect info.
Database is the official one.
>village requests in the hub are just like urgents
triggers me so hard
Okay, what the fuck?
10 hunts, and nobody seems to be able to wound Redhelm Azuros' head.
How the hell am I supposed to get a Redhelm Ragehair?
No.
Rapid Up gives you 1.1 raw every shot.
True Shot Up gives you 1.2 raw every powershot.
Challenger +2 gives you 1.2 raw and 15% affinity only when the monster is enraged.
Besides Focus and Load Up are a must.
Its better to have Focus + Load Up + True Shot Up + Rapid Up than having only Focus + Load Up + Challenger +2.
The damage output is slightly higher with Challenger +2 when the monster is enraged, but overall the damage output will be better with Rapid Up + True Shot Up.
If mounts still damage parts, then aerial spam might work.
Well shit my set is useless
Have you tried putting it to sleep and doing a party-wide LBB+ sleepbomb? That's what worked back in the days I needed Rajang horns.
Adept is even crazier, your dodge is an attack
Well it gets the job done
No. But goddamn it, I don't want to pray to the online gods that I don't get a room full of French assholes with mixed armor, no abilites, defense lower than 100 and on top of that ask them to trap/sleep bomb with me.
Maybe I'll make a room in one of these threads or the general next time I'm online. Sounds like a good idea.
Are all these Deviant armors as retardedly good as they look?
Did SnS really cuck hammer and hunting horn stun wise?
Thats kinda bullshit
Silverwind and Dreadking are very good, but not flat-out better than other options
With Barrage Earrings, Teo Bow and a FastCharge +5 000 charm you get Focus + Load Up and a free slot.
With chest, gloves, belt and boots free to add any skill you want.
Arc R boots and Gloves give you Rapid Up +5 each.
There you have Rapid Up, Focus, Load Up.
You get Chest, Belt and an extra slot in weapon to add any skill you want.
Since I dont like to clownsuit I went with Arc R for the 4 extra slots and gemmed in True Shot Up.
There may be a better option for a Chest + Belt + Slot combination to add another skill though.
Dreadqueen is good for status SnS
Dreadking is good overall for Blademasters
Nargacuga is excellent for any weapon that doesnt use adept.
The rest aren that good.
Randoms would fully cooperate with me sleepbombing in 4U and would even bring bombs of their own, but rooms in Gen where people even know what sleepbombing is and don't wake the monster with hits are exceedingly rare. It's disheartening.
