What headphones do you use for gaming?
[spoilers]>listening to all of the lights by Kanye[/spoiler]
>boi hymen breaks from the bass

The comfiest.

Regular earplugs
I also use the built in mic to speak
Yes I'm poor

Also use ctrl+s

...

Doesn't work when making threads from the catalogue.
I'm also poor but had a rich gf a while back.

I use my speakers.

>my boypussy
>kanye west
>mentioning your rich gf for no reason

thanks for the glimpse of what kind of faggot Sup Forums harbors now. Avoided that shit hole for the past 2 years.

How else would I afford headphones without gf money?

glad i got those, fucker's work on every thing i've got at the moment

>tfw just listening to MBDTF on the same headphones

>Umaruposter with taste
Seen it all.

Best headphones I've owned.

Got Astro A40 because my old headphones broke and also pressed on your ears making them sore as fuck. These ones cup around your ears. Mine have oval muffs rather than the one pictured.

I got the Astro A40 without a mixer. What does the mixer do and how well does it do it's job?

>tfw can't use headphones because of eardrum rupture and tinnitus

The best.

Every single headphone in this thread has been garbage so far, except those dt 770s, which are decent for closed back hps.
You disappoint me Sup Forums

>AKG k702
>garbage

...

...

is that the 500 or 700? 700 here
either way, fuck sony for not making these puppies anymore

Beyerdynamic DT990pro

Sup Forums is embryo central, why would you expect anything less?

Whats the point of having amps for headphones?
Do you play your music so loud that it creates distortion making the purchase of an amp a viable choice?
Amps dont necessarily make your audio quality better unless youre playing your music really loudly, right?

Sennheiser HD600

you haven't owned many headphones then.

higher impedance

fidelio x2's
>dat sound stage
>dat low end

DAC. digital to analog converter makes the sound better

decent, dunno if i would use them for gaming though.

The DAC does, onboard soundcards are fucking terrible, when I try to switch to it it's like night and day difference in audio clarity in higher frequencies.

hd800, i have poverty phone so i can afford things like this

Poor so I have a jvc ha-s500. Got enough bass to enjoy gun sound and is also foldable.

>)))))
:^)

How do you clean headphones?

anyone ever used OPPO PM-3? are they worth the preice? because it seems to have the best features possible for comfy gaming

Now using Fidelio X2 as well. I stick in Westone 4R together with these if I absolutely need sound isolation.

>7kHz treble spike
I actually do like the sound, and I plan to EQ that down if I get it. I am not getting the HD800 until it reaches $800 mark used though. I can buy a used LCD-2 for $650 or a Beyerdynamic T1.

no, get a pair of mkIII's with some good pads if you wanna go planar

I use a pair of HD681 EVO's.
I used to have a pair of original HD681's, but the cord broke recently so I got these since I was used to the sound.
They're pretty alright for the price.

I am curious about the PM-3 honestly. The frequency response doesn't look to bad up to say 5kHz. What's their problem?
Fostex? Aren't those the phones that MrSpeakers modifies into Mad Dogs?

Takstar TS-671

That's a pretty comfy choice. You could've chosen the Philips SHP9500 if you are already paying to this price point.

Headphones are for betas.

yeah they are, they are very popular with the modding community.

You're only saying that cause you don't have both.
My speakers are kind of pleb tier though, being the Klipsch Quintet HTIB paired to an Onkyo receiver being fed to my PC. I use this for nearfield PC gaymin' in a room about 120sqft.

>Have headphones
>Have speakers
>Have microphone
Nah man, you're just casual.

I did buy some headphones a few years ago but I just can't stand having them on my ears, they tickle and make me hot and and sweaty.

I felt the same way about IEM.
it's here. I've been thinking of Blue Snowball but I don't stream nor do I have a channel. I use Fidelio x2 as a headset with Boompro, which is good enough that it's hard to justify going further atm.

two cheap active two way speakers and an active 100 watt amp and plugged straight into the mobo master race

>tfw constantly listening to music but not an audiophile
I've dodged a huge bullet

>straight into the mobo
>active powered speakers
Sup audioengine faggot.

I don't like heavy headphones.

I want them next to as light as possible while still decent.

>tfw
Fucking great, huh? Didn't even need $1000 headphones to tell when something is shittily produced like the Life of Pablo and it's first mix.

Audio vs game sound control.
Can plug in like 3 devices and hear all of them.

Really the only useful features.

I got these about 5 years ago. Still pretty good.

>Old ones broke
>Sony doesn't make them anymore
Fuck

Yeah, I only have those 40€ chinese earbuds and honestly I can't tell the difference in quality between them and those expensive ones. At the very least I can understand the difference between store-brand 2€ crap and those that took a slight effort to make.

Those look extremely uncomfortable.

They're comfortable despite their looks.

It's a classic.

The chinese are capable of making decent headphones and earbuds for several times less price. Takstar in my opinion are quite good, but they kinda suck at design and putting certain materials together.

I owned the Hi2050, really comfy, sound really good unless you're one of those people who like to listen to trash like wubstep or nigger music, the only issue is that the cord being as thick as it is still can break easily.

>Astro
Wow, it's like you love hearing hissing noise!

Do you guys listen to vidya music?

I'm still trying to find a proper music player for my vidya music.

Mine is from "soundmagic" is that rings any bell. They're really pretty for earbuds, looking golden and shit. Anyway been satisfied with them for about a year and a half, and they never suddenly stop functionning after a couple months like the sennheiser I used to have

Yep, just I think people should make sure to look around audiophile stores online because the cheapest shit they have is still better than what philips, panasonic, sennheiser and such produce these days.

Let alone skullcandy or beats or those bullshitters.

It depends on what you're buying though. Yuin earbuds are the best of the best earbud wise, but you are paying 20 bucks a piece even in China for them. Takstar is Chinese obviously. Fokoos, Fiio, Edifier and SoundMagic are also getting known in the audio world.
Superlux is a Taiwanese brand. Taiwan is home to MSI, Acer, Asus, BenQ and Foxconn actually.

The highest end Chinese makers are VSonic, Hifiman

>lmao so much bass!
Is this the most underage phrase ever?

The only worthwhile Philips stuff are the Fidelio line. Most people won't even spend $230 on X2 though.
Sennheiser HD598 can be had at $100, which is a good pricepoint for their plasticky headphones.

foobar2000 or musicbee

You should listen to some normal music as well user, you'll probably find a ton of stuff you'll like

I have these as well

This shit right here.

Best value for money bar none.

Yeah I do listen to normal music but very few of it, really mainstream stuff like Pink Floyd or Yellow Magic Orchestra

>wearing headphones 24/7

Enjoy your tinitus

Why would you buy this when you can get the HD598 for the same price when it goes on sales?

My motherfucking negro, my only problem with this set is how flimsy the head band is

I got these because I heard the bass was good but my PortaPros get better bass

...

Nigger the 463s are $50.

Where the hell do you find HD598 for $50?

Don't those go for $100 usually though? That's what I remembered.
I like the M-100. They are V-shaped in sound and can be fun as hell.I hate how they they get stuffy and I had to switch to the thicker pads for better comfort though.

I got mine for $50

These driven by a cambridge dacmagic plus.

I wish I had gotten a NAD D 1050 instead. The output impedance on the amp makes them sound bassy as fuck.

i fucking love these, i can hear them slowly dying though and it bums me out as they are the most comfy headphones i've ever worn

these

using them right now, they're great

those are the hd598 i believe? do you need an amp for them? i recently got one on prime day, and i'll be using them mainly for gaming

shit i meant

Not necessary. 50Ohm to drive this.

what does 50Ohm mean? sorry i'm not well versed on audio,

Basically you can plug this to your iPhone or your mobo straight up. High resistance headphones require amplifiers.

No.

The beyerdynamic dt880 32 ohm takes more power to drive than the hd598.

>do you need an amp for them?
All you need is an adequate output. If your computer has a 3.5mm stereo jack it will power these headphones. The unit I bought is a DAC with XLR outputs, dual coax/optical input and a single output, RCA out, USB in and an included headphone amplifier. I got it for the connections, you don't need an expensive DAC for good sound, and unless your current source (phone motherboard etc.) isn't getting volume from your headphones you don't need an amp.
