Explain this series' plot

Alright Sup Forums, can you explain Kingdom Heart's dumbass plot from someone who played the original release of Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 on release?
No, I won't play the gorrillion remakes and updates and Birth by 254 Chains spinoff games.

If you won't play all the games, why should you be spoonfed? However, there's a chance KH3 will have reports similar to DDD you can look at.

God god.
no one help this retard

The sorry has gotten so unnecessarily expansive I'm not even half to it anymore, I'm really only playing 3 for the conclusion. It's stupid how many literally who's they created just for the sake of spinoffs.

In what way does a spinoff card game holds such game changing plot?

Everyone is Xehanort and everyone who isn't is Sora

>hurr durr i read some of the titles half assedly
>wow the plot is SOOO0O0O0O HARD TO UNDERSTAND

listen retard, listen for just a second. I know you have "ADHD" meaning you're a fucking retard. But the KH series is not hard to understand at fucking all.

Foretellers are given Keyblades by the MASTER of Masters and a piece of the Book of Prophecies. Shit goes down and they basically initiate the first Keyblade War.

*millennia later*
Two young boys, Xehanort and Eraqus, are trained under (((their master))). They both become Keyblade Masters with Eraqus defending the Land of Departure and Xehanort striking out on his own. Overtime, Xehanort succumbs to DARKNESS...or rather he controls it. He comes back to the LoD sometime later and scars Eraqus for not believing in the X-Blade. some time later, he finds a pupil, Ventus, and tries to force him into creating the X-Blade.... you know what, this ain't gonna work. Just read the fucking synopsis you retard.

I don't think anyone can help even if they want to.

Because fuck you. Google it and fuck off.

>Tried to explain the plot
>Failed

Thanks for proving my point.

I think I saw some youtube vid called "Kingdom Hearts plot in 25 minutes"

...

...

...

No, I cannot explain the plot of Kingdom Hearts.

you mean I started at one spot but didn't want to waste time going further because your dumb ass COULD just read the synopsis or pay attention for half a second like anyone with two brain cells.

So who's story is harder to understand?

Xenosaga or Kingdom Hearts?

Before 1, there was Birth By Sleep. Birth By Sleep told the story of 2 very important characters, Ventus and Xehanort, and 2 somewhat important characters, Tera and Aqua.

Before Kingdom Hearts 1 starts, the 3 Keyblade Masters Ventus, Aqua, and Tera bestowed Keyblade power to the 3 kids of Destiny Island, Sora, Riku, and Kairi. Riku got Tera's, Kairi got Aqua's, and due to heart shenanigans, Sora sort of has Ventus' keyblade "and" soul.

The end of the game explains why in Kingdom Hearts 2, there are two guys named Ansem, and why Roxas looks nothing like Sora, because he instead looks like Ventus. Aqua is lost in the dark somewhere. She may be relevant later, or not. At the end of the game, your first world is destroyed and instead replaced with a new world called Castle Oblivion.

That's all the pre-KH 1 info you need.

Pre KH-2 Info is contained by two games. Chain of Memories and 358/2 days. Chain of Memories is easy enough to explain.

Sora chases after Pluto after the end of KH 1 and ends up at a place called Castle Oblivion. He ends up losing his memories due to the girl in KH 2 you meet early on named Namine. She's a special nobody born of equal parts Kairi, Sora, and Ventus, and she has the powers to fuck with peoples' memories. Long story short, some Organization 13 members went to Castle Oblivion to take Sora's heart, but things went wrong. You may have noticed in KH 2 that in Jimminy's journal, that a lot of Organization 13 members were dead, and it was never explained why- and that's because they were killed by you (or Riku... and one by Axel) in Chain of Memories.

At the end you do battle with the second most powerful Organization Member Marluxia, the Graceful Assassin and lord of Castle Oblivion. His boss fight (at least in the PS2 remake) was fucking awesome and you owe it to yourself to at least look it up. Marluxia dies. You go to sleep, forget Namine, but write her name down in a journal.

>No, I won't play the gorrillion remakes and updates and Birth by 254 Chains spinoff games.

Literally all available on ONE console : Ps3

Don't expect anyone to be nice here if you don't even try to solve your own problem before posting shit

All I'm reading is "I can't put forth the effort to back up my statements."

But this is all wrong.

that's because you're mentally devoid of any thought aside from white space and four or five words you learned in remedial kindergarten. FOH nigga, back to Cat in the Hat books with you.

Continuing.

The phrase "Thank Namine" was due to Sora forgetting her because his memories were repaired after the events of Chain of Memories, however there was a second side to that game, and that's Riku's story. Surely you were curious as to why Riku looked like Ansem in Kingdom Hearts 2, well his story was split between Chain of Memories and 358/2 days, and I'll explain as best I can.

After Riku locked himself in the realm of Darkness, he sort of... "darknessed" his way into Castle Oblivion with help from Mickey. He traveled through the depths of the castle and killed one of the Organization members. His whole goal was to figure out how to control the darkness within him, since Ansem is STILL inside of him. That was never fixed after Kingdom Hearts 1, Ansem is "still" inside of Riku. Mickey shows up and tries to kill the darkness inside of Riku, but doing so would kill Riku as well, so Riku comes up with a personal compromise. He learns to control the darkness inside of him by fully absorbing the power of Ansem, and them using his own power, truly killing Ansem inside of himself in what is possibly the hardest Card-Based battle I've ever experienced in Videogame History. Seriously.

Anyway, He kills Ansem (for good this time) and then leaves Castle Oblivion in Search of Roxas, because Namine says that Sora cannot recover on his own, because someone out there is stealing his memories. Along the way, Riku meets with Diz, the red robed guy who turned out to be Ansem the Wise in Kingdom Hearts 2. That's essentially Chain of Memories in a nutshell.

For 358/2 days, it's best explained snappily. It takes place from the Organization's viewpoint, championing Roxas and a strange girl known as Xion. (Pronounced She-on). Halfway into the game, a lot of Members leave the Organization to go to Castle Oblivion (and promptly die) because of what happened in Chain of Memories.

Well that cleared things up, even though just a bit. Thanks.
I was kinda bumbed out they didn't use more of Disney and Final Fantasy characters. I was hoping Beast to take a larger role considering he stormed Hollow Bastion by himself in KH1.
Instead they keep making new original characters that mess things up.
It's as if the plot of KH is a series of patches you apply to fix a plot hole but it creates two more plot holes.

I can't wait to see all of these spinoff faggots crying when they don't understand shit while playing 3. Its all on PS3, you could complain before, but its all on one console now.

See,
This faggot's explanation was fine, you self-important elitist dillhole.

>but i only own a PS4
checkmate.

Riku vs Ansem isn't hard at all...unless we're talking CoM GBA.

This user is the only non-asshole ITT.

The rest of you are braindead KH yaoifanbois that don't actually know the story at all but defend their retarded favorite series to the death, harder than any Sonic sperglord could ever hope to. When you're more autistic than a Sonic fan, there's something wrong.

Something something hearts, something friendships. Everybody is one person except that one person is someone else, only whole or some shit.

Keep buying the games and remakes you stupid fuck, each game has like one or two exclusive story details that doesn't do anything or contribute to the story, rather just adding more open ends so you think you're gonna get more story, but end up with more shit.

Stay tuned for kingdom hearts 2.95 1/2. Fuck you.

read the synopsis you fucking idiot.

khwiki.com/Kingdom_Hearts_Birth_by_Sleep

start there. watch it on youtube. stop having people explain shit for you you fucking retard. do some search, then some research. ten cents bets you're a fucking American.

Continuing.

Namine explains that Sora's memories are getting completely destroyed, there isn't just one person stealing his memories, now there's two. Xion is explained to be an imperfect clone of Sora's heart, and is capable of Wielding his Keyblade. So now Riku has to kill (or pacify) Xion, and Capture Roxas.

Do you remember the weird shit at the beginning of Kingdom Hearts 2 where everyone starts remembering Sora all of a sudden, after claiming to forget him out of nowhere? That's because of Xion. But moving on-

Roxas grows close to Xion and at the end of the game, is forced to kill her, since if she lives, Sora would Die, He would die, and Axel would die. So they fight, Roxas Wins, and absorbs Xion's power. Using the power of Ventus's heart to wield his own keyblade, and now Sora's heart to wield Xion's Keyblade, Roxas is now capable of Dual Wielding.

Roxas leaves the Organization only to be cut off by Riku. At this time, Roxas has already proven himself stronger than (and has actually beaten) every member of Organization 13 except Xemnas himself. Riku tells him that attacking Xemnas is Suicide, but Roxas doesn't care. For making Xion and making her and him suffer, Roxas goes on a revenge mission and attempts to Kill Riku for getting in his way. Roxas Beats Riku's ass SO fucking hard that Riku has to abandon his own power and completely give into Ansem's darkness, thus transforming into him.

Hence why he looks like Ansem in Kingdomhearts 2. Riku beats Roxas finally, and plants him in the fake world to absorb his memories into Sora.

Start: Kingdom Hearts 2. Should I go on?

>but i only own a PS4

Then you can read the story on different sites or watch a let's play of the different games.
You have no excuses for playing KH3 without knowing what's going on

You sound more Sup Forums diagnosed autistic with every post you make.

>Should I go on?
You're probably the only guy ITT who knows KH lore so yeah do go on.

>tries to explain the plot
>realizes he can't
>blames the questioner

There you go.

The one fan that actually knows his own game. The rest of you fags got exposed 2dy

>Should I go on?
Yes. I'm in the same boat as OP and you're the only "fan" not being a faggot

>KH lore is soooooooooo hard to understand like, xD
>LITERALLY NOBODY, AND I SAID, NOBODYYYYYYY KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON IN THIS WEIRD GAME XDDD

When will this meme die ?

you are both so fucking dumb.

Okay then.

Post Kingdom hearts 2 there are 2 games. Coded, and Dream Drop Distance.

Coded takes place from a rather strange perspective. It takes place from Jimminy's diary from Kingdom Hearts 1, the one that got Erased in Castle Oblivion. The Diary is uploaded to a computer and accessed in Hollow Bastion/Radiant Garden, and it's explained that there's an entity within it crying out for help.

I'm not 100% sure why, but the Diary itself grew sentience after the events of Castle Oblivion (it was probably because of Aqua, but that's just a theory) but the entirety of the game is about repairing the pain that was inflicted on the world between Birth By Sleep and Kingdom Hearts 2, at the end of it, a computer version of Roxas and Namine show up to explain to Sora that there are some very hurt people trapped out there, and they need his help. They are of course talking about Ventus, Aqua, and Tera. That's literally the whole game. It's fun, but not very plot heavy.

The more plot heavy game is Dream Drop Distance, known as "D-3" for the 3DS, and was, in my opinion, perhaps an early concept for what would eventually be called Kingdom Hearts 3, but it was delegated to the 3DS instead.

It's kind of wordy, so I'll leave it to the next post and cut this one off early.

Once
is done with his explanation since he's probably the only one here with a grasp of knowledge regarding KH lore.

An evil man wants to cause the end of the universe to see what will happen.

A twink and his edgy on/off boyfriend try to stop him with the help of a mouse.

youtu.be/xm-NoyqzGkY

Watch that.

Then leave and stop remembering the series exists.

Or maybe, you know, nobody wants to spoonfeed you

Everyone who played the games and paid attention know what the story is about, everyone here is just too lazy to explain, since the lore goes really far. The rest is just trolls acting like they don't know anything about the story, even when they didn't even play a single game.

kys shitposting retard

Dream Drop Distance is a two story game, where you play as either Sora, or Riku. Riku has conquered his inner Darkness fully with help from Riku, and now they're both taking their official Keyblade Master's exams with help from Yen Sid, the Wizard from Mickey Mouse's Fantasia who helped you in Kingdom Hearts 2.

So they both go on a series of tasks to pass their exam, however Right off the fucking BAT something goes wrong. Riku and Sora are separated, to meet up "spiritually" every once in a while. It becomes explained that one of them was snatched and put into a "Dream World" (Hence the name Dream Drop Distance) but it's not immediately known which of the two was stolen, since while on this exam, they cannot get outside help from other Keyblade Masters, like Yen Sid or Mickey.

Later on It's explained that Xehanort, specifically a younger, time travelling Xehanort, has been fucking with them this whole time, and has been lightly present ever since Birth By Sleep. Riku fights and Beats Young Xehanort to find out that OLD Xehanort has kidnapped Sora and broke his mind to flood it with Darkness.

Xehanort, who was broken in half and turned into both Ansem and Xemnas, was ressurected since Ansem and Xemnas, his Heartless and Nobody respectively, died. Apparently when the two halves are destroyed they become whole again, but once gain- another story for another time.

Xehanort is back, and using OTHER shenanigans, so is also Xemnas and Ansem, both at full power. Sora's dreaming heart destroys Xemnas with help from Roxas and Xion, while Riku kills Ansem by himself because Riku is apparently overpowered. Riku dives into Sora's broken mind to find a suit of dark armor, it's never fully explained what this armor is, but it's destroyed, and Sora wakes up.

Later it's explained that Xehanort intended to use Sora's broken heart as a shadow catalyst, a thirteenth dark heart to fill with his energy. That was the reason he created Organization 13.

I'm complaining because all of the spinoff games are shit that aren't worth playing for just the story.

Why are you sperging over nothing?

Final note:

It's likely that Kingdom Hearts 3 will be the final battle against Xehanort's True Power, where we will be facing off against his 13 darknesses. Sora, Yen Sid, Riku, and Micky seek out to recreate the 7 Lights, the destined force to fight the 13 darknessess, and with that, the True Kingdom Hearts will show itself again.

Side note: It's worth mentioning that there are multiple Kingdom Hearts' in the chronology. 3 I think.

There is the "Heart of Worlds" Seen in Kingdom Hearts 1, the door to darkness, which was a rather new creation born of the suffering of the various dead worlds consumed by the heartless.

There is Kingdom Hearts 2 (That's literally what it's called) the Artificial Kingdom Hearts created by Xemnas and the Organization in Kingdom Hearts 2 made up of the hearts of people and heartless they killed to create it.

Then there's X-Kingdom Hearts, commonly known as the True Kingdom Hearts, shown once in Birth by Sleep, and will likely be seen again in Kingdom Hearts 3. Requiring 13 Darknesses and 7 Lights to reforge the X-Blade, X-Kingdom Hearts contains the true power of the soul, and is the sole reason Keyblade Masters, Light, and Dark Exist. It's true nature is 100% completely unknown.

I just don't want to bother explaining it, especially when people adamantly refuse to play other games, dismissing them as spinoffs.

Big bads want to create Kingdom Hearts, which is sort of like the primordial state of the universe where all hearts are one, in an endless abyss.

All things(people and places) have a heart, a body, and a mind.
Hearts are the source of life.
Bodies are the source of physical substance.
The mind carries both memories(links between hearts, strength through friendship) and emotions(individual strength, the power and will to survive on your own).

When an individual dies, these three things separate and their heart returns to the great ether of hearts, which slowly collect to reform Kingdom Hearts, but hearts can be taken back from Kingdom hearts through forming bonds with other people (memories, friendship, love, having kids).
Sometimes separated hearts can become evil monsters which seek to kill others and separate their hearts from their bodies so that Kingdom Hearts can reform, these are called Heartless.
Their bodies can become monsters too, called Nobodies, with similar aims.
Likewise their emotions can become monsters too, called Unversed.

When an individual with a strong heart dies, their body may also be strong enough that it can continue on without a heart. Over time they can pull their heart back from the ether.
This rebirth process can also occur through ritualistic combat and death of both the body and heart.

People with strong hearts get magical key swords that have the ability to lock and unlock hearts to create links or separate then, and fight each other over the power of hearts and what's best for the universe.

Long ago, six keyblade masters fought over a prophecy which suggested the universe would once again be plunged into darkness. Somehow this crisis was averted, but it is likely that the events of the games are the reincarnation of this conflict.

>Riku has conquered his inner Darkness fully with help from Riku
With help from Mickey, sorry.

(you)

Plot?

Explore worlds in the Disney universe and save them from the influence of the invading heartless. Once you're done, it becomes a barely comprehensible Final Fantasy boss fight in the end.

watch the movies on youtube retard

you think I bought a 3ds just for a kingdom hearts game? Fuck no, I just watched the movie on youtube.

Chain of Memories is good
BBS is the second best game
358/2 Days has horrible gameplay, but there's a movie of it, so no excuses
Re:Coded is not important for the story. Again, there's a movie of it. Watch it or don't.
DDD gives a shit ton of capital informations for KH3, you NEED to play it or watch someone play it. Also the gameplay is really smooth and it's fun to play both Sora and Riku

>Spinoffs
>In Kingdom Hearts

i imagine the ending to kingdom hearts 3 will be sora awaking from a dream on the plane to disneyland, with a half finished portrait of cloud from his favorite game, final fantasy 7

Everyone is Xehanort. Xehanort caused everything. Terra did everything wrong.

He is right. old xehanort didn't reborn, terranort did.

I feel like Kingdom Hearts has become a big masturbatory exercise in character design for Nomura. All this nonsense about "this guy absorbed this guy them split up then reabsorbed half the good but the evil part still..." seems like a flimsy excuse for new characters.

What a stupid shitshow KH has become.

>He only played 1 and 2
>He still thinks he'll understand 3

not as stupid as your existence though

your mom should have aborted you

None of that made any sense at all and you only showed you know absolutely nothing about the games at all. Fuck off you waste of skin.

Here, this'll help.
youtube.com/watch?v=MzxQ61b-gOo

>Sora's face didn't become Vanitas. It's the opposite
>Terra didn't absorb Xehanort, Xehanort took possession of his body
>There's no mention of Terra's mind, which is still in his armor
>It wasn't Terra's fault if Riku gave up to darkness to begin with
>Xehanort's heartless didn't manipulate Riku because of Terra's spirit, he did it because Riku was way too close to darkness
>"somehow this was born" clearly you didn't play 358/2 Days
>Namine can fuck with Sora's memories, not his whole brain
>A ton of information is missing

(you) played yourself

Ok, OP here.
Explained it thoroughly and explained the whole Hearts thing. I was looking up wikis and videos in the mean time and Jesus, even they were a complete mess.

So it's more or less explained (still quite retarded but that's complicated plot for you) by those two anons.

I'm pretty sure most KH fanbois are as confused as me regarding KH plot but instead of asking for explanation would rather pretend they understand it and call others retards for not getting this convulsed mess of a plot.

Old man ruins 3 kids days in the name of opening some door, possesses one, sends one into a coma, traps the other in a different dimension.

Possessed old man kid decides that he wants to ruin 3 more kids lives and one of them turns out to be jesus and stops him

Jesus kid gets a clone because he dies, turns into a monster and comes back (?), but then the clone dies as well, and possessed old man kid has a clone who again tries to ruin everyones days again, but he stopped by all 3 of the new kids this time

Now jesus kid and edgelord kid are training to stop the old man from pulling off some master plan to summon a giant key that looks like it was designed by an autist on deviantart.

You might want to check in with a doctor today, you may be mentally retarded.

Here, user

I wish she would have so I never got invested in Kingdom Hearts in the first place.

Go ahead and kill yourself now. Do it. Nobody would care. I'll find your grave and piss on it and throw copies of KH3 all over it.

You're smug now but you'll be sad when this special snowflake is no more.

>wasting copies of KH3 for a trash like him

Are you ok user ?

You can hang yourself right now. Do it, leave a note for your mom to visit Sup Forums.

I will personally make sure to let her know that I asked you to do it because I considered her son a failure of a human being. I will take responsibility, just end your life.

Everyone is xemnas and everyone else is sora

For all we know sora is xemnas's wife's son.

>No, I won't play the gorrillion remakes and updates and Birth by 254 Chains spinoff games.
Have fun missing out on half the plot.

Xemnas is a nobody.

He is worthless to the story.

Please stop being so mean please

kingdom hearts is made of light

Just read the wiki famalam

What the fuck are you talking about? You had it until you started throwing random shit in to make it sound more retarded than it already is.

Old man Xehanort possessed Terra after his heart was consumed by darkness making it easier for him to steal his delicious boy body. Sometime after the fight he loses his memories and becomes a researcher with some other faggots. Things go wrong in an experiment and his heart is separated from his body, and now there's a heartless and nobody version of him. They die, and now its back to Xehanort. WOW SO FUCKING HARD. A kind user explained shit earlier, there are tons of videos explaining shit, you could try to actually listen to what they're telling you in the games instead of brushing it off as a "stupid shitshow". Is the story silly? Absolutely. Is it hard to understand? Not at all.

No.

youtube.com/watch?v=xm-NoyqzGkY

Fuck you. You fucking faggot

Well now you've done it. That sent me over the edge. WOE IS ME

it's a hot mess and completely broken at this point, If you are going into KHIII all I can say is expect a lot of side characters and the main bad guy is just one man split like 8 different ways across different times, bodies and names

It's hard to understand for people who aren't willing to buy 17 consoles.

>Kingdom herts plot is to hard to understand meme

They are all on Sony consoles.

Since when are a PS3 and 4 17 consoles?
