Holy shit this game is fun. I made a topic a few days ago on whether or not to get it. I ended up getting it and have been playing it recently. I love it so far. All these fucking options on what digimon to make is ridiculous. I think I would have absolutely loved a game like this as a kid when I used to watch Digimon.
A little overwhelming though with all these options. I don't know what to make first. Any hints Sup Forums? Otherwise, Digimon Cyber Sluts thread. Talk about the game. Wish this shit came with cross buy. Would have been nice.
really? you actually found this game fun? I found it to be a huge fucking chore to play
Alexander Nelson
This game is like a cuter, lighter version of SMT. This one is fun but most SMT games are better.
Nicholas Perez
I mean I'm only 5 or so hours in, but I'm liking it so far. I guess it's because it's the digimon game I've wanted since I first saw the show.
Landon Kelly
Never played a SMT game before. I'm gonna play TMS soon though, once my friend hacks my Wii U.
Henry Jenkins
Remember to play on Hard mode, user. Feel free to switch to normal on bullshit boss fights though, grinding can be a pain in the ass.
Brayden Lee
When the fuck are we getting Next Order?
Owen Thompson
i ordered a copy a few days ago when amazon had it on sale for 23 bucks. Not even gonna start it until I finish Trails in the Sky SC.
Julian Hernandez
I started on normal. It's a bit too easy, but I have this feeling that normal is too easy, and hard is too bullshit.
Can I just choose whatever digimon I like, or do I need to min/max to be able to beat the game? Also when these threads were more common back in February, I kept seeing shit about pierce damage and Lilimon being op. Anyone care to shed some light on that?
Luis Garcia
Oh nice! Same here. Were you one of the ones who got it because of my topic?
Jose Scott
I'm still on chapter 9, so I dont know much about the rest of the game, but so far Hard has been pretty fair and decently challenging if you focus on having a variety of Digimon at a decent level. Make sure you level a bunch of different stuff so you can swap things out for boss fights. You dont have to min/max at all, just focus on winning the rock-paper-scissors against tough foes. Pierce damage breaks most boss fights since the enemies aren't HP sponges, they have high defenses.
Kayden Nelson
They didn't even test hard mode properly. Fuck that shit.
Logan Torres
30 hours into the game, its one of the best so far Digimon>Pokemon
Andrew Cooper
I believe so. Saw your thread and went to buy a copy because it was the cheapest i've ever seen this game. Thanks.
The price also has jumped back to 35 bucks on amazon... so it was a good buy.
Sebastian Reyes
Oh okay. I gotta memorize the rock paper scissor types. I have a pretty decent variety right now though, so that's not like I'm slacking on that end. Does party memory get better soon? I keep digivolving my guys so I'm running out of space. Only have 30 so far.
What does the island do? I guess it acts as a sort of daycare?
Awesome. I did the same thing too. I checked the price after I bought it and it jumped back up to $35. I promised myself I'd buy it if it ever dropped to $20, so how could I not?
Landon Long
I think Hard is a lot more fun than Normal, unless you're rushing through the game with 6-8 Digimon. I actually need to pay attention to battles and switch Digimon around depending on bosses' types. In the end it's all about how much time you want to spend juggling your Digimon around to keep an army ready for any scenario, really. That said, some fights are VERY broken on Hard, and switching to Normal can lead to a better experience since otherwise it's just frustrating.
Landon Parker
I was liking it and thinking it was cute then, but good lord the dialogue never stops later on.
Jackson Anderson
I'm at chapter 9 and have 75 memory, it gets better. The island does a lot of shit, I'll try to sum it up.
Digimon you leave there will gain EXP with time - not in-game steps like Pokemon or something like that, just leave the game idle or move along. You can have up to 5 as you progress, so you can fit a total of 50 Digimon there.
The Training comamnd lets you do some sort of EV training, you gain stats based on your Leader Digimon's nature. Develop command nets you random equipment for your Digimon. Investigate command gets you some extra side quests for medals and some cash.
You can also feed your Digimon some items to increase stats or the CAM stat. There's a lot more in-depth stuff but you're better off searching for those as you need them.
Liam Edwards
This, having to stop and come up with a strategy to beat a boss's bullshit by developing the appropriate digimon was the best.
Also Symphony From the New World->main theme remix holy shit what a cool last boss
Tyler Smith
This. Grind your ass off the jrpg, for hard mode its grind your specific evolution pierce line off the jrpg. Too easy on normal and too unfun/artifical pierce difficulty on hard
Justin James
The dialogue does kinda suck. Too much of it. Does it really get that bad?
Oh okay. How do I get the food for the digimon? Buy it or do I get it from drops and such? Also I'm autistic as fuck when it comes to in game timers. I hate adding time on to my game file when I'm not actually playing it/have it on idle.
Connor Mitchell
You get regular food every 5? minutes. You can find other food from drops and chests, even quest rewards sometimes. You don't need to leave the game on idle to get a nice amount of EXP going, just playing the game normally will do enough. There are better ways to farm EXP.
Tyler Cox
I sort of just converted whoever I had to convert and dumped them there. Every now and then I go back and digivolve one of them. But I don't remember getting food at any point.
Andrew Hill
I had fun with CS when I played it, I beat it no problem. If anything the game is far too easy if you get Lilithmon before the knights start showing up.
2nd playthrough now, chapter 4, have most of the royal knights. I didn't beat Paladin Mode first playthrough because I didn't know you just need to use Craniummon's move and survive his attacks and he gives up. Plus I have to fight the dark lords.
Oliver Myers
Bump.
Charles Brooks
So Lilithmon is the op one?
Nolan Miller
Well I think she has the highest damage output in the game. Her attack deals whatever is 3x her Int stat and ignores defense, and if you max nothing but her intellect she does like 1500 dmg an attack, 3000 if someone uses that Acceleration move on her that doubles damage.
She dies real easy though.
Noah Ward
You might find these helpful. I made them when the game came out, so they don't have some of the newer DLC digimon though.
Go down the Hagurumon line, digivolve to the level 20 Sukamon silhouette, get two or more, rake in massive exp.
Also invest in the second development option for a chance to get an exp held item. Each suka can hold two.
Grinding made easy.
Cameron Edwards
I bought it for 20$ on vita the other day, I think it's pretty cool so far
Gavin Bailey
This game is literal garbage. There is no excuse for that gameplay and dungeon layout in this day and age
Christian Myers
I hope it comes to PC eventually
Jackson Gutierrez
Okay I'll do that. What does Sukamon do though? Good mon to use?
Really? How? Was it on sale or something?
Landon Anderson
Yeah, a "popular japanese games" sale or something
Camden Cook
I hope you are ready for ulforceveedramon and Adam eater. Those are the first fights where the rng bullshit begins.
Kevin King
Was this a US sale? No idea how I missed it. I check the store website pretty often.
Matthew Hughes
IDK, I live in Europe
Hudson Butler
No I saw it at the EU psn store too for 20 euros after I bought it for 44 euros threedays before. I did get the day 1 dlc for some reason though that was pretty neat.
Grayson Anderson
Is it dual audio or is it subbed only?
Justin Evans
subbed only.
Eli Brooks
Oh okay. So it wasn't for the US then. Sucks that that happened to you though. I hate it when it happens to me. I managed to get the day one dlc too. I bought it back in February and amazon e-mailed me the code to redeem. The game took too long to ship and I started having second thoughts about it so I cancelled it thinking I'd wait for a future sale. Kept the dlc though.
Subbed only. Which I guess can be a positive thing. Usually I hate skipping dialogue even if I have subtitles on. But seeing as I don't speak the language I have no problem doing that for here.
Luis Rodriguez
>Subbed only Well nevermind then, I'll pass. If they didn't even bother to do that, it's probably translated as well as that SAO game on the vita was.
Caleb Cooper
I don't even know what you are talking about with the SAO game, but I am 100% sure you are right. The translations and typesetting were downright terrible in a lot of parts. I still thought it was a fun game though.
Colton Sanchez
Platinum Sukamon increases (doubles i think) exp earned after battle. These effects stack. He's not really strong but that ability alone is worth it.
