It's like those terrible B movies that aren't intentionally funny but are somehow some of the best pieces of comedy ever filmed. The base gameplay being great certainly helps a lot too, fuck the remake though.

I enjoyed Second Story more than End of Time.

It's not on PSN so you can't play it on a VitaTV. I'd love to know WHY SO1 and 2 aren't on PSN at all.

Changed the voices to be just bad not funny bad, changed the art into shitty generic anime style, added a shitty extra character that if you recruit prevents you from recruiting another character (since you are capped at 8 total), changed some items around both good/bad, fucked up crafting animation I think? and a few other things I can't remember.

The voice acting is only in battles and rare FMVs and it's so bad it's laughable, like House of the Dead.
The remake voices all story scenes and the voice acting is just plain mediocre instead which makes it worse to suffer through.

VitaTV undubbed psp iso via TN-V. The vita is a perfect PSP emulator and just as easy to load games on as the old systems. Well, TN-V is probably outdated now and Henkaku has taken its place or something, but still very easily doable.

The PSP port is shit, the original is far better.

Welch was the only good thing in the PSP version though.

What is TN-V? If I can hack my VitaTV is some way I would love to know how, it doesn't get nearly enough attention.

An addition to this is that the PSP version also stretches the pre-rendered backgrounds to fit the new widescreen resolution. In some areas they fuck up the sprites too.

The PSP version also removed the Galaxy and Universe difficulties from the game (hard and very hard). You can access them with hacked saves though.

You can just download an undub version these days though. Shitty dubs are no big things for ps1/2 rpgs anymore.

It's been far too many months since I installed TN-V10 and TN-X on my VitaTV for me to be a good source of knowledge, but they're still great.

TN-V10 works through an exploit game (in my case, the Vita's Patapon2), you load the game's save data and the the system boots into the classic PSP cross-menu firmware, from there you can select and play your PSP isos, csos, PS1 eboots, or install them etc. From the classic x-menu you can also get Vita ftp (it has a duck icon) to move all your psp games, translated, undubbed, hacked, whatever, via wireless ftp.

TN-X loads via a separate exploit game's save data, for me, the Vita's Tekken 2, and is used as a PS1 emulator. Tekken2 then boots to the TN-X menu where you load, install, delete your PS1 isos. The PS1 library look fantastic here, unlike some of the PS1 games forced into eboots for the PSP.

Its really not that bad. It's charming even. Don't make it stop you play the best game in the series and possibly the best PS1 era jrpg

You can get ridiculously OP pretty early on if you know what your doing thanks to the crafting system, I suggest you look up a guide on it. Also, there's this part of the game where you have to enter tournament in a coliseum and you are given various choices for which equipment you will use, the reward you get will vary depending on which one you chose. Turns out one of those rewards is necessary to craft the MC's strongest weapon, so make sure to keep that in mind. I remember how pissed I was when I found out I missed it.

I enjoyed the heck out of the game back in the day. It's definitely one of my favorite games I've ever played. Soundtrack was pretty tight, too.

At the beginning, though, it depends on the enemy. Sometimes you can bait an attack, dodge, then counter.

Star Ocean 2 was comfy as fuck.

The OST and atmosphere gave the game a very soothing atmosphere.

Also still probably the only game where you can become a best selling novelist.
