while I love XI for what it is, is the FF game that has a less Final Fantasy feeling to it without a doubt, later expansions attempt to fix this, but you are fooling yourself if you think XI had anything at all FF like pre-wind of the goddess.

They made two distinct geographies for two distinct overworlds that, when overlapped, match perfectly

Golden Sun: The Lost Age has a pretty underrated world map.

It gets non-linear pretty fast with lots of island towns and optional dungeons to visit with appropriate rewards and even djinn sometimes for fucking around in random fields off the beaten path.

I have to disagree, the body and physics are BORING as fuck I agree, but facial features receive a drastic improvements.

What killed the Miquote design for Japan is the fact that.
1.Complete female human form making you think is just a girl cosplaying a cat girl
2.Only cat EARS and IRIS aside from the mandatory tail.

While Minthra are a extremely unique design.

1.Ears actually make sence
2.Nose is feline like, but somehow it mesh well as to not make you think is a furry race
3.Unique color skin, representative of the race, making it a exoticrace.


Japan could just not stand the downgrade Miquote was, is like they just copy some anime with cat girls or something, here even more hyurs in Japanese servers than cats.
