You can follow up with why is it fun and then they can mention gameplay components that add to their enjoyment. It's fun a reasonable response, but yeah some people might want to know why that is the case considering how subjective fun is.

Why is this even an argument? Game reviews, professional or not are so subjective that you literally have to find like minded people to get an accurate review.

I Fucking hate sports games, but I won't call a sports game reviewer wrong if he says it's good.

If you say you like the game, you're not giving any more information by saying you find it fun.

In general, discussion about games on Sup Forums aren't even always about people hating a game talking to people loving a game, trying to know more about a game that's not as well known could be another reason why "It's fun" is pretty much an annoying answer.

Of course, so would be the other ones you gave since they were all pretty much as non-informative expect for maybe the music though I'm guessing they were examples for the sake of the argument.

When asking what's good in a game, it's generally out of curiosity, not out of some kind of weird want to bring down the person I'm talking to.
