>best game on gamecube
yes
...
Yes.
We need another with the improvements from the ds game and the "fullness" from the first.
criminally underrated
GOAT
The DS game had a fuck load of content if I recall? I remember playing the story and it just kept going and going and going
It's too bad LBX didn't scratch the same itch
That game was so fucking dark.
Am I remembering correctly that there was a pretty huge postgame?
The Earth is round.
T/F
It was lacking some features from the gamecube version, mostly because the game cube is a game cube and the ds is a ds.
Things like 4 player, graphics, and well, mostly 4 player honestly.
I wish this series wasn't dead.
If Nintendo played their cards right I could see this one becoming one of their staple series, but nope.
>dat carnival
I still get nightmares.
Post-game was like half as long as the story, but both could be completed in a single day
/
100% best game.
To be fair, I don't think they sold super well. Doesn't mean I don't want it, however.
J A V E L I N
>It's been nearly 10 years since the DS game
hold me
Harry is the best sidekick in vidya.
I fucking loved Custom Robo. Needle Gun was best girl by far.
>game actually lets you doom the world
Fucking based
You're bring back levels of nostalgia I didn't think possible. But to answer your question, I remember playing autistic amounts of Paper Mario TTYD and Sunshine.
>TFW barely any Marcia porn
Favorite weapon Sup Forums?
Mine was Meteor Fall
Absolutely fucking based.
The only series I would actually murder someone for if it meant new games would get made.
Let it out bro
Dragon and it's illegal variant Wyrm.
I play Custom Robo once a year and every time I force Mira to take my watch just so I can backtrack later
I think the drill gun back when I was a wew lad. Though in this run I've been favouring the Gatling
for practicality, in PVP? The trishot was incredible.
my fucking man right here
3-way and gatling were my shit too
Favourite Robo's?
Ray is too perfect
it's a close matchup between that or this
Another good one here
Probably the only Gamecube game that I did multiple playthroughs of to try and unlock everything
Shame Capcom forgot it existed
Forgot my image, but has it covered
Shit man that game was awesome. I'd get a copy but I'm not shilling out 200$ for it
I would buy an NX for a next-gen Custom Robo game where I could finally do all that cool shit from the opening cinematic to scrubs online.
This is easily their most DLC-able franchise.
This is easily their most microtransactionable potential mobile franchise.
I'll except that evil. And I'm actually fairly confident we'll see one or the other within five years. MK8 and Smash DLC seems to have done them some good, and Splatoon really shows that their catching on to how successful online multiplayer can be.
Call me crazy but if they added customization options to an online F-Zero and supported it with DLC I don't think the money would ever stop for them.
Holy fucking shit this
what is it with capcom and dropping perfectly great games?
Absolutely, and it emulates like a dream now on Dx11.
CAN MAINS REPORT IN
ONLY REAL MOTHERFUCKERS MAINED CAN
Mine is the Glaive. Purple Football player COMIN ATCHA!
>mfw shotgun meatshots
meant to reply to
The fist or the Stun gun.
I don't think this exactly counts as a Nintendo franchise, at least to nintendo. As much as I want a sequel I don't think we'll ever see one. F-Zero is... a crap shoot imho, I think the company is fine with Falcon in Smash and nothing else.
>H-HAYAI
Hard to make a new F-zero when it's already niche, and a niche with competition at that. I don't see Custom Robo having any competition, but it's still niche.
Someone needs to translate the N64 games. I would love to see how these games evolved.
because no one bought it since it looked like kiddy shit which I guess is technically correct.
>handicap tournaments
Hated those, also those parts hidden in random corners of the world were impossible to find without a guide, zero fucking indicator of anything being where you need to check.
Knuckle gun.
Crystal Storm.
At least it hs gundam vs as a spiritual successor
The storm sword gun.
It was incredibly cheap to either sit in the corner or run away from the enemy while spamming it, but man was it fun to use
I still can't really recall what happened. I know it was actually simple, but why were they all condensed in a singular city? What was the deal with the outer world? How come they kept all that a secret?
It's been a decade since I played Custom Robo.
Shit man what? Are they time sensitive? I'm playing through again and I didn't know that.
Custom Robo was apparently designed to appeal to young boys who were a big demographic at the time. I get the feeling because these games can't be cheaply made, nintendo won't make them for "a small niche".
Also whoever the fuck reviewed custom robo at the time never played the fucking game. That rating is a crime.
At the end of the game every area becomes accessible so you don't need to worry about missing something.
>I get the feeling because these games can't be cheaply made
I'm pretty sure Custom Robo has been a budget title since the beginning.
>Not maining Swift
Don't forget, you can play 4-man Custom Robo with Sup Forums via Netplay.
There's a 100% save file floating around somewhere.
Custom Robo has zero competition but that's the problem. Yeah we want a sequel but fuck all remember the series. It wouldn't sell as well as it should and the dev's would go "See, we were right" and never make another. Frankly we should make one. All we need is... well literally everything.
>tfw my copy of the game disappeared on me when I moved out
I just want to do another playthrough with full illegal parts just the fun of it, but I can't.
>that writing
>that music
>that gameplay
>all that customization
>all those hours me and friends would do stupid/ridiculous builds and see who would reign supreme
>battle royale of 4 Rahu IIIs with only can and titan parts
So good.
>Shit man what? Are they time sensitive? I'm playing through again and I didn't know that.
I think they're only available in the tournament part so no they're always there, it's mostly for illegal weapons like rahu sets.
Rahu destroyed everything before accidentally getting stuck in a robo. People kept it a secret pretty much for the lulz
I think the only game I have ever 100%ed.
I still get friends to play it with me to this day, 1v1 random arena and fully random robos.
Halberd and sniper, the rest can be changed depending on the opponent.
>TFW you emulate custom robo and realize he has a police emblem on his shoulder.
After that any of the little raider models to run circles around niggas.
Shoutouts to shotgun, knuckle, and needle as best guns for going fast.
Bro you gotta pick it up again. I was lucky enough to find a copy at a local con. Shit man the ways my eyes lit up when I saw that cover art.
>love Lightning Sky's
>illegal version that's fast and has better defenses than the average Lightning Sky
>plus a great design
Sergei had good taste.
Yo, fuckers, it's time for some Custom Robo Netplay

Get in on this, boi
>rahu, a sinister meat-robo made by scientists destroys 95% of the world population, leaving the tatters of humanity to hide in a tiny corner of the world.
>protag gets the chance to confront it or not destroy it
I'm playing through the GC game right now and even I can tell where they skimped a bit. A lot of people don't have faces and are obscured, not that it matters, because, despite the time it was made, their faces don't animate in real time.
The DS game though was pretty crazy for a DS title.
You know a game is good when even Sup Forums can't shit talk it.
Have a lolibot
I would also like to add that the Gundam VS series of games have a very similar playstyle.
Albeit with many added attack and movement mechanics, but the basics are the same/
>that friend that would pick the sergei build and just fly around dropping birds
>TFW gonna sleep soon because college
Sorry. Next time.
I'll get Lights, Camera, Pants to work too some day via Netplay.
Bootleg Miku is pretty now that I look at her.
Does the widescreen hack work on that game or is it a mess?
Senpai I want to, but I'm running through the game on the gamecube. Fuck me for being a snob.
To me it always felt kinda brainless and landing a hit usually doesn't have much "impact", so to say.
I love Custom Robo but only for jank customizable fun and the reaction images.
Gamecube had a lot of hidden gems though, here's a few others that don't get the recognition they deserve
>Chibi Robo
>Cubivore
>Fire Emblem Path of Radiance (back when Awakening didn't make the series popular)
There's more but I feel like a lot of what used to easily be called hidden gems are now pretty well-loved, like Pikmin.
He fucking is
What?
way too dude weed to join
Instead I'll dump a few screenshots I took for an older thread.
...
>tfw this is my steam profile pic
>that friend that would pick Athena, go as high as they possibly could go, and just spammed the Raptor gun
Oh, I can gladly shittalk this game
Stun is broken
Marcia is a socially disfunctional autist who indirectly gets Sperg's cock
And Harry flipflops between being the best and the worst
Then you don't gotta
Evil is the best rival you will ever have.
best game yeee
knuckle gun was so good
When asked "y'all niggas wanna save the world" you can be like "nah brah" and it's gg
Use a long range gun and pods to keep people away from you, the computer does it to me all the time.
not only was this game perfect in every aspect, it has god tier reaction images. what went so right? based gamecube era.
>yfw Evil was actually evil
Combine that with the Peregrine.
>SHORYUKEN!
If you switch back and forth it's noticeable.
However I've played most of my time with Custom Robo on the Gamecube, and then used a homebrew wii to dump my GC memory card to use with an emulator.
I think it still looked fine a little stretched.
This game has god-tier reaction images.
The flamethrower.
I didn't believe it for a second, but its cool, because he is a pretty consistent person within the game.
...
>Strike Vanisher
Excellent taste. My favorite is the Halberd, but it's too bad you don't get it until post-game
Oh my shit-licking christ I had no fucking idea
This sounds better than the non-standard game overs in Paper Mario
I haven't played the game. Am I missing out.
Also, off topic, but what the fuck is Mach rider?
I don't mind if it fills the screen, I'm more interested in knowing if you can actually see more? or is it like the wind waker were only the environment is wider and people just kinda pop in?
