So, what do we know about the DLC except for the fact that Gwynevere will be a boss? Will it be based on Londor? Post ideas for bosses, armor, weapons, aswell as theories and hopes.

I thought that was common knowledge as seen it's been posted on /dsg/ quite a few times, but either way for the ones that don't know, there's a cut song from Dark Souls III (which is very obviously a boss theme) that is suspiciously similar to the Gwynevere theme form Dark Souls I.

the only similarities I'm seeing are a focus on strings and a female chorus, a bit of a stretch there gumby.
you know the rules
honestly i regret buying DaS 3 so I don't give a fuck. my hopes are it goes on sale quickly and redeems my purchase of the base game.
I have a feeling we'll be seeing ol' Frampt again.
If not him, some other Primordial Serpent.
It's literally the same song with a different arrange.
We'll probably see more of Yuria's sisters and Londor.
>game has been out for this long
>still no DLC
Game is fucking dead. What a trainwreck.
Nothing would make me happier than From surprising us with a Cainhurst DLC alongside the DS3 DLC reveal. Sadly, this will never happen
Bloodborne DLC was first announced 6 months after the game release, there's still 2 months for Dark Souls III.
Old Hunters is already the size of 2 DLCs packs together, I wouldn't complain. Besides they have other things to do.
>It's literally
don't use words you don't know the meaning of.
>arrangement
be more specific
>prominent strings
>prominent chorus
>minor key
Iron golem confirmed
Miyazaki confirmed It's going to tie up all lose threads and finally make sense of the whole overarching story.
LOL
but bloodborne was still relevant 6 months after release, ds3 was forgotten about a month ago
I know, but Cainhurst is a little too under developed user. Besides, it would be a chance to get more Bloodtinge hunter tools and find out more about the Queen. Even if it's the size one of the crown DLCs, I just want something
Just because you stopped playing doesn't mean it was forgotten, dumbass.
He said something along those lines though, but I'm not sure what he meant by it exactly.
>ds3: 311 viewers on twitch
>ds1 has 1300
>bloodborne which is 1.5 years old and an exclusive has 200
yeah, it's over
>Christian Times
Fairly informative, otherwise.
>twitch mattering for single player
actually
>twitch mattering ever

Are you just pretending to be retarded?
DLC will involve slugs: Confirmed
Probably all thanks to the speedrunners running 1 over 3. nothing to do with regular play
Just new stuff don't rehash the same shit again. Maybe a DLC in the same style as the NK area.
The NK area is too small though, if they have an area that small for the DLC I'll be pretty dissapointed.
yea I just meant the art style mate.
Since we went back to Anor Londo in III's base game, how would you guys feel if we went back to another area in the DLC? Maybe Undead Burg? Get to see the old Firelink.
Geographically speaking the area called Anor Londo in DaSIII had little to do with the Anor Londo from the original game, the only similarity was the main building, literally everything else was different.
I was a little disappointed with the music in 3. gundyr's theme was great, and so were both firelink themes, but nothing beats that weird corny singing from 1.
whatever it is it can't come soon enough, i need more of this game
That's just your nostalgia speaking, DaSIII's soundtrack is objectively the best in the series.
I don't think so. Seems to me like 2 and 3's soundtracks have less personality. Even 2 had better music.
m8, I feel the same way, I can't believe we still don't have news on when the first DLC will drop, and the second DLC will only come next year, I had to force myself to stop playing the game at about 400 hours because I don't want to feel burned out when the DLC drops
How about another Bloodborne expansion from? There's still another Amygdala that can pick us up in Yahar'gul and we could use the tombstone added in Yharnam Sunrise to access it!
Please.
>except for the fact that Gwynevere will be a boss
>fact
speculation sourced directly from your asshole isn't factual, retard.
so how many twitch viewers does bloodborne have?
The Abyss watchers theme was cool as fuck.
Especially if you slap the first and end part together
youtube.com
That fight was just generally hype for me
Who the fuck cares about dark souls 3 dlc?
It's not bloodborne so it doesn't matter
That was good. maybe i should mention, i prefer the soundtrack from 1 but everything else is better in 3.
Nah, they're probably working on Bloodborne II already.
>Gwynevere as a boss
Please no
She is the only one of the Gwyns that hasn't been defiled yet.
As much as i would like to know what the fuck happend to her i don't want the image of my big tittied godess to be ruined.
Fuck Miazaki for what he did to Gwindolyn
goddamn that unused dlc song is pretty epic
Not the same guy but if you listen them at the same time you'll notice they are very similar, I'm pretty sure it's the same song.
>except for the fact that Gwynevere will be a boss
I don't believe you. Sounds like bullshit fans think up and make huge jumps when providing proof.
I don't really remember the entire OST of games so I can't compare them. I just remember songs that jump out at me or are linked to more memorable bits.
DeS had Maiden Astrea (my favorite 'everything' out of the series), The Beginning, Maiden in Black, The Nexus, Phalanx, Tower Knight, Old King Allant, Fool's Idol, Vanguard, Armor Spider, Flamelurker, The Old One, One Who Craves Souls, Return To Slumber
DaS1 had Great Grey Wolf Sif along with Gwyn, Lord of Cinder and Firelink Shrine
DS2 had "Majula"
DS3 had Abyss Watchers (they did everything right here; second favorite), Firelink Shrine, Ludex Gundyr, Vordt of the Boreal Valley, Yhorm the Giant, Soul of Cinder
Making that I realized just how memorable DeS OST is for me. That's not every song, i'm fairly certain, but most of them. That shit was nuts.
Is it common for games to name tracks in their OST after the entity it's paired with? I feel like that really helped ingrain the Souls in my memory.
what did you think of sihn's theme?
i thought gwynevere was now rosalia?
>Reminder that she's almost certainly the Queen of Lothric since the Silver Knights drops her divine blessing with the DS3 description on it and she brought along Getrude from her last marriage.
>Reminder that the Queen was the one responsible for creating the Untended graves which kickstarted the plot of DS3
>Reminder that we have to grant death to ALL the old gods of Lordran
Personally, I hope she becomes a Firekeeper or something because that way we will have a final boss that can nuke you with light, fire and darkness.
yeah this is true unfortunately. Too bad the game has such a bad balance that multiple runs are just so damn tedious and not interesting
It's definately no Painted World
DaS 1's compositions were all pretty mediocre
Some of the options we do have are
>profane capital per Yhorm lighting the shit up
>LONDOR
I hope to god we see Aldia too so we can finally figur out how to un fuck everything.
He was the best bart about 2
Just gave it a listen. It's not bad, but it's not very memorable to me. I wouldn't have know it was Sinh's theme if it hadn't have been named as such. Hearing it doesn't drag any images of the fight forward.
I really liked that one bit near the beginning with the choir repeating...something and the way the instruments went along with it. One repeat in particular had a really appropriate "epic apprehension" feel to it. I'm not exactly educated on music, so I know the terms i'm using probably sound stupid.
Gertrude is a good guess too, I personally think the first DLC will be about Londor and the second will be a about Gertrude, it would be a nice duality, Londor with dark shit and the abyss, and Gertrude with angels and shit.
One of the DLC has to be about the Profaned Capital.
We've seen a screenshot from early build of a completely unseen city being torn apart. This was one of the very first images shown and it's not even remotely similar to anything in-game like all the others.
Other DLC I guess would concern the angels. And both DLCs probably have an overarching story.
Actually that one screenshot you're talking about is very similar to the Kiln, it's possible that was an early design that got scrapped.
It doesn't resemble it at all. The kiln had twisted, Hunter's Nightmare buildings along one ridge. This is a whole city, cracking and sinking into the ground, covered in fire and overrun by drakes and pus of men.
This area is too complex for them to just scrap, there's too much significant stuff going on. It had to have been one of the earlier designed ones, and we just have to hope it makes its way into the DLC.
>It doesn't resemble it at all
Well, yes it does, the way the city is twisted doesn't matter, what matters is the idea behind it, the Kiln is supposed to be a place where all the timelines converge, that's why the terrain is all twisted, the way it's presented is up to the devs, maybe they though this early design wasn't very good hence the change, Dark Souls III has a lot of scrapped content so I wouldn't be surprised if entire areas were scrapped and remade from scratch. Also the bleeding sun is a good indicative this is the Kiln.
The only DLC I would really like is a game mechanics update. Otherwise this game is still garbage.
Why would they make that big design and just toss it away for no reason?
I think this is an area we'll see in the DLC. At least, I hope it is. It was already disappointing that the bleeding sun in-game looked kind of shit compared to that.
DS2 had Run Sentinels/Smelter, that's 10/10
Also Mirror Knight, Dark Lurker, Veldstat.
>Why would they make that big design and just toss it away for no reason?
As far as we know most of it could be artwork made to be presented as promotional material, that was very early in the development. And even if it's all in game we have had cut content bigger than that in the series, Dark Souls I had several areas and bosses cut in the final game.
All I'm saying is, don't get your hopes up, why would a DLC area be done this early in development? I'm pretty sure that's just an early version of the Kiln, and to me it doesn't make much sense being something else, not even the Profaned Capital since the city architecture there is completely different.
>Gwynevere will be a boss
Ceaseless Discharge clone, calling it
I don't really think they'd show the final area of the game in a promo pic.
Ice Magic.
Nostalgia my friend, nostalgia.
Well it was a leak and not really meant for the public to see, so it isn't surprising, if they started making the game from the end to the beggining it would make sense that the best screenshots they would have would be end game stuff.
Don't they already have frost in the game that is basically an ice status effect?
If you'd like to believe that, I guess.
>Gwynevere
Nope, its definitively going to be Getrude and her cult of angel worshipers. I think the DLC will involve time travel to the past like AOTA. One of the other dlc sounds like the twin princes:
Holy shit look at all you retards paying for DLC. Do you enjoy shelling out your sheckles for minimal work on devs ends?(inb4 pirat)
>I think the DLC will involve time travel to the past like AOTA
Well that's a good guess since every piece of DLC for every Souls game ever (including Bloodborne) involves time travelling, I would be surprised if it didn't to be honest.
>tfw you realise where dark souls lore really originates from and can now appreciate all the references
DS 2 had just some minor timetravel right? just the samurai boss if i remember right
Bloodborne isn't exactly time traveling, it's just that the time continuity of the dreams isn't clear.
What do you mean?
________
>Veldstat
Literally the easiest boss of all time.
When are they going to announce the DLC anyway?
trailer this fall in some Japan convention. Then release some weeks after.
Tokyo Game Show I assume.
Wish Ciaran would be added to the DLC. I really liked her character
this
The Old Hunters was announced at TGS, so there's a good chance they'll announce the DaS3 DLC at it too.
and Ace Combat 7 too
could be gamescom too, which is this month
souls games are more popular in the west than in japan anyway
>souls games are more popular in the west than in japan anyway
That's just wrong though, Dark Souls is super popular in Japan too, the other day I managed to catch Daigo playing Dark Souls III on stream, and being pretty bad at it.
>Daigo
The SF guy?
Yeah.
Oh that's nice. He plays it casually or on a higher level?
Holy shit I thought you were fucking with me, but yeah DS3 has only been out for 4 months.
From definitely aren't. Miyazaki has said he has no interest in it. That said, Sony owns the IP, and The Old Hunters was almost entirely Japan Studio's work and was fucking excellent, so if they made a sequel without From it'd probably still be worthwhile.
I swear, this year is fucking crawling. Things that I thought that happened like a year ago, only happened less than 6 months ago.
#1 DLC(Humanity)
Location:Londor
Possible Bosses:Velka the Goddess of Sin
NPCs:Kaathe and maybe Frampt
#2 DLC(The Deep)
Location:Probably Sea side(Under the Deep Sea perhaps?)
Bosses:Cthulhulike boss that controls the Deep
NPCs:Unknown
If you mean Dark Souls, he plays it casually, he's not very good at it, but last time I saw he was trying to finish it.
Miyazaki said he's done with the Souls/Bloodborne games, but he doesn't speak for everybody at From, they could just set up a new team to make it with another person to direct, like they did with Dark Souls II.
>anyone but Miyazaki in charge of a Soulsborne game
I mean, Dark Souls 2 was decent, but not a masterpiece like the others. DS2 is like the ugly kid in the family.
Well it's the only way to get more Souls at this point since he was clear when he said he doesn't want to work on these games anymore, and since he's From president I don't think he'll be forced to make them like Kojima was forced to make MGS.
IDGAF about Ciaran, I just want those juicy tracers.
No its Dark Souls 3.The game's only standing point is visuals and graphics. The lore is the weakest, gameplay is boring, more than half of the bosses are garbage to okay and too much fan service.
