Add more dope ass brutal just frame grapple counter attacks to use. Change nothing else, just add more moves and weapons.

Make him the captain of a spaceship but he has to answer to an emotionally witholding system operator

Gameplay wise? I think he was fine, maybe give him a few weapons to swap between.

Story wise? Just make him whinge less, which should be easy if Kyrie doesn't get her huge ass kidnapped.

Start the game with him playing DmC and then taking it over to Dante to tell him about it.

Replace him with pic related.

I remember when people didn't like him. Must be the ending with dante that changed it.

He seriously needs a new haircut imo.

I remember back during release that people couldn't tell Dante and Nero apart, while I have no problem doing so his design is still a little too similar to Dante, especially the hair.

I suggested a ponytail similar to Venom Snake before but I got a lot of shit for that.

Why do you have ready access to this image?

You think Nero would be the main character of the next DMC game? Um no.

How about you play as the 14-15 year old son of Dante and you aren't stuck with the same old sword/pistol combo.

Make his Devil Trigger turn him into an actual demon instead of a giant light show that hangs around his back

Now that he has Vergil's katana they could turn him into a cool samurai with a ponytail and all that. You could have some crazy fanservice scene with him losing the tail and his hair going like Vergil's.

A dedicated fist fighting character would be cool as fuck.

>Introducing more main characters.
>Introducing a young teen character.
Stop.

Give him the abillity to actually absorb demons and use them as power ups for a limited time like it was intended originaly
Also
A hand only style

A charge move where his spirit hand becomes huge as fuck would be cool too

By making him more western for DmC2.

The stand DT is pretty cool though.

Man it had to have been a lot of work to make entirely new animations for his every move in DT mode.

>clip

Just have Nero lose his weapons.
Would work well with his DT,m he's already got a bunch of wrestling moves and slams with the devil hand.

An extra weapon and gun

Showing him off in pre-release was a mistake I think he just looks like a dante knockoff when he actually stands on his own fairly well by the end of the game

Literally only thing I wish he had was Yamato as a second melee weapon with red queen's trigger replaced with a similar timing mechanic that does Iaido nonsense

He doesn't need fixing. He played a good opposite to uncle dante in 4. So in 5 which is never happening all he needs is basic character progression, he would just be more grown up and slowly evolve to be more like dante over time.

Swap weapons with the D-Pad. Give him Yamato and not-Beowulf with Vergil's moveset, and a third weapon. Give him a second Exceed meter which acts like Vergil's Focus when using Yamato or not-Beowulf. The unused trigger button swaps between Blue Rose and Summoned Swords.

Yeah, same. I wish he had a weapon switch between Red Queen and Yamato.

More like Dante in WHAT way? He needs to stand on his own somehow.

>Literally only thing I wish he had was Yamato as a second melee weapon with red queen's trigger replaced with a similar timing mechanic that does Iaido nonsense
This. Would have been cool to have Nero use Yamato as an extra weapon.

More mature and less of a cry baby. Not identical characters, just more similar.

>um no

Yeah I guess I can see what you mean.

Oh, and you know what else? Would it kill them to give him some interesting alternate colors? I was SO FUCKING MAD when they gave him a new skin and it was just MORE BLUE. I for one really like him in white.

Honestly, just give him more weapons to choose from and switch between on the fly. But keep the Exceed, Ex-Act/Max-Act, and Devil Buster gimmicks.

Personality/writing-wise, just maybe tone down how much he curses? I'm not adverse to that sort of thing but Devil May Cry, up till 4 at least, always avoided that sort of thing. It just feels kind of jarring to hear someone rudely call someone a "jackass" in a DMC game. This is the same series that gave us, "Flock off, featherface!" I mean, come on.

And if they do that, make it a part of Nero's character development, even.

Holy fucking shit.

>Give him the abillity to actually absorb demons and use them as power ups for a limited time like it was intended originaly
Also this too sounds like it could be really great.

>which is never happening

Dude
>DMC4SE last year with hints of a sequel at the end.
>Devil May Cry series on Capcom's pipeline for early 2018.
>Vergil VA accidentally spouts out "They're bringing us back! (we can say that right?)"

It has a solid 70% happening chance.

"accidentally"

Every time

They also said there would be a zenny system for street fighter 5, that there were "no plans" of ever bringing dead rising 1 to other systems, that the idea of remaking Resident Evil 2 was shot down several years ago and wasn't going to be made, and I could go on. Capcom lies all of the goddamn time.

Completely retool the entire Red Queen rev system. It just isn't fucking practical and nobody uses it.

Either make it much easier to time and build up charges or change the way the sword charges.

Also he needs a different fucking gun than Blue Rose.

Source of that vergil va quote?

>He doesn't use just revving
Although it is annoyingly hard to build up 3 charges, there's gotta be a better way to implement the system, like holding attacks to expend charges so that it's actually practical to build full charges.

Revving is great once you get used to it and his gun is extremely powerful (though maybe too powerful)
You know you can just time the rev with an attack perfectly to instantly get 3 bars with max-act right? The timings hard for sure but it's not that hard, getting at least 1 consistently is pretty doable

more fucking weapons
fuck that shit was disappointing

I never said it was 100% certain did I? Still, those things make DMC5 happening far from impossible, especially the pipeline and that Vergil fuck-up.

I wasn't aware you could get timing to build 3 bars, I only knew about the single bars.

That mechanic really isn't described well in game.

give him stances or something
>normal
>yamato
>wrasslin
And give his stand more things to do

>The timings hard for sure but it's not that hard, getting at least 1 consistently is pretty doable
>Can't even do it myself
Man I'm so shit at DMC despite liking them so much,

to be fair my problem with Blue Rose has more to do with shitty enemy design like Blitz and the shadow birds than the actual weapon.

The rev system has got to be changed. out of all the truestyle Nero footage I've seen, NOBODY uses it, and that's the top fucking level of players.

Fuck the mr. Blitz

To get used to timing one just practice it on a few specific moves to start, like the first standing slash and streak. Just do streaks and try pressing rev a little early, then do it later and later til you feel out the sweet spot, eventually you'll know when you can press it

After you learn it for one or two moves the rest come pretty easy cause the timing is similar in most cases (a little bit after the followthrough on the attack)

By removing this fucker from the series.

>Source of that vergil va quote?
I got you my man.

youtu.be/DrSAydJm4SY

19:30, Dante's VA's reaction is priceless.

Guess wherever I'm wanting to play DMC4 again I'll practice it more.

>trying to do Just Judgement Cut in DMC4SE
>can barely do it

More like JUST FUCK MY TIMING UP.

>..they're gonna bring us back-we can say that right?
>No.

You could buy the specific skill in-game. They even give a description on how to do it.

>Just judgement cut
>Hard

Try Just Guard Release when you're choking hard as fuck over potentially losing your entire meter.

Nero being a potty mouth separates him from Dante though, it's clear Nero was Capcom experimenting with DMC being more edgy before they went DmC.

Nero being a potty mouth is great. And the great part is it's mostly Johnny Yong Bosch ad-libbing. The original script was milder, but he thought that Nero would be angrier given the circumstances so he turned to the director who told him "You are Nero."

All in all it's pretty great.

DMC is deader than Onimusha

>dislikes: naked wemen (cause he gets a node bleed)
Wut

>What are contract obligations?

He's most likely lying to not get in trouble. He posted the article because he either thought A. An announcement was actually coming and he didn't know if it was. Or B. Because it was a good red herring from the true leak, the one that actually leads back to him.

>being this hopeful
wish I had you optimism user
but I lost them with my smile
who here expecting absolutely nothing for TGS/PSX

>who here expecting absolutely nothing for TGS/PSX

Seeing as if it is happening it's probably early 2018, and RE7 got announced half a year before release, I still expect nothing.

the ability to load this shit with elemental damage,
like frost electric holy or whatever so you can do more damage to specific enemies or apply status effects
it's kinda rpg-ey, but whatever
I love this weapon anyway

That's not a bad idea.

>you can do more damage to specific enemies or apply status effects
so like the very first Devil May Cry
could be neat

>like frost electric holy or whatever so you can do more damage to specific enemies or apply status effects

I don't dislike that kind of stuff but it doesn't belong in DMC imo.

Why not? Enemies in DMC3 had elemental weaknesses, you know. Some did. Bosses DEFINITELY did.

make him a girl

You could make it swappable like Dante's styles and it changes red queen's revved moves, like we got normal streak, fire (current rev streak) that hits multiple times, ice streak that freezes and enemy and at level 3 makes icicles spike out of ground where you streak across, lightning streak that instantly teleports forward and hits first enemy you reach

I dunno I kinda dig it even if it sounds derivative, you could extend the effects to Blue Rose charge shots too

I do like the idea of freezing enemies with charged shots.

Just don't freeze a frost demon. :P

easy
>more weapons
>Styles
>use of Yamato outside of his Devil Trigger form

I'd also add
>more Devil Buster moves

Yeah, the way to fix him is basically "just addmor stuff"

yeh I like your post user

Mainly give him some more moves, and I hate to say it, but give him the same sort of Angel/Devil Pull mechanic from DmC, where you can choose between pulling an enemy to you or pulling yourself to an enemy. Likewise, it'd be nice to be able to use the giant arm to push AWAY enemies to give yourself breathing room if necessary.

That, and the ability to cancel out of Buster moves. Maybe instead of a preset, single attack, a Buster attack goes on for as long as you hold the button, with the tradeoff being that while you're grabbing and slamming an enemy, you're vulnerable to enemy attacks. Obviously you'd have to moderate this for bosses.

That's what I'd do. Nero's role is the newbie character with a limited, but effective moveset. Why change it?

>Nero's role is the newbie character with a limited, but effective moveset. Why change it?
because there is only so much you can do with him and his gameplay and moveset doesn't really evolve like DMC3 Dante
