More and more I've been getting the feeling that it's time for me to pack up and move on. The quality of Sup Forums (and most of Sup Forums) has plummeted so much that it's gotten to a point where I don't find most of the threads even a little amusing.

People complain of Sup Forums going mainstream, but honestly, the one thing that really makes me sad is how the internet went mainstream.

I mean, I know it was bound to happen, but I remember the days when the Internet truly was like the wild west, things were new and exciting and there was a lot to discover, and normalfags distrusted it or didn't understand it.

I made a reddit account years ago, during the prime of reddit hate on Sup Forums, before it was grandfathered in to the new generation who doesn't know why reddit was bad.

Every time I search a question, I always search reddit first. It's genuinely helpful and as long as you only browse non mainstream subreddits, you will not run in to a single meme post.

If there is one thing that pisses me off the most about Sup Forums nowadays is, what I call, "ironic hypocrisy".
Remember when Sup Forums shit itself when memes were stolen by ebaumsworld or reddit? Now Sup Forums steals memes directly from facebook.
Remember when we made fun of armchair activists that thought a hashtag and complaining on twitter will do shit? Then we got gamergate.
List goes on.

The anonymity of Sup Forums is at the same time its biggest boon and biggest detriment.
No one here can be called out on shit, because it's just "Anonymous". There is no point in any argument on here where one side says "oh I was wrong, my bad", instead the argument simply intensifies until the thread vanishes.

Everywhere related to video games is either hyper critical, jaded cynical snobs or idiots who happily eat up whatever shit given to them with no thought whatsoever.
