We do know. Frontier is chinese made, lacks the colour of the mainline series, has really janky hitboxes and no feeling of connecting with your attacks, most of the armor sets are things like top hats and bikinis, you can get single-slot +10 jewels for skills that make your armor almost useless anyway... it looks like MH but is very different. It's more of a blind hack and slash.

Like, the first chunk of the game is just Dos redone with better hitboxes and graphics.
I don't think it gets much different from MH since it IS a MH.

And the Frontier sequel was being developed by entirely different team than the original.

I played Frontier for a while before I was IP blocked. It's pretty bad.

It's not like it gives you any extra survivability.

What about people who customize it? swapped out the jaggi helm as soon as I could for the Obituary helm, and I had an atk+3 gem with a slot so I could get rid of the ugly bulldrome pants and get something that just looked nice and still keep attack up L.

MHgen is literally the easiest fucking game in the entire series. from watching videos and streams i can easily say even with the broken hitboxes of mhfu that mhfu is still superior to the contemporary games.

On one hand, if this is this guy's first encounter with HC Cephdrome, I feel sorry for him.

On the other, if it is anything but the first hunt, he fucking sucks since those helpers have set patterns when they come out and easily should have known not to fucking dive at the beginning.

Still leagues better than the original since he not only blitzes out of the sand the moment he spots you, but also stays out.

I know this is bait, but it's sad how many people still think MHFU is the pinnacle.

It was fun, had quite a lot of content for the time and had the best difficulty, but you already started seeing color variant monsters by 4* village or so. A big chunk of the game was focused around fighting multiple monsters instead of having a lot of different ones, and a big chunk of the elder dragon fights were tedious as fuck. Lao and Shen were god-awful especially. Hitboxes were garbage. Most weapons and armors looked like shit. Drop rates sucked. I think a lot of the "MHFU is better" people come from when Tri was first released and at the time MHFU had more content. Ever since 3U we should've moved on.

It went great i got a plate but in fact it went too Great, soon it started limping then i killed it, it took me 23 minutes to kill pretty long but i think ok for prowler

As a Lance main, Steve is one of the easiest monsters in the game. It really doesn't know how to force something with Guard out from under it and high pokes go right into that soft underbelly.

Well yeah, that's why its only 2 million. If this year's MH is on 3DS, it would be at least 2.3 million only if it's MHXG (since ultimately they shipped 3.3 million of MHX and assuming worst case they lose 1 million following MH4G trend). MH5 on 3DS would be even more.

I've only ever used the HH since P3rd. I want to pick up something different, and I'm looking at the sword and shield since it looks like it relies more on items which I usually ignore (bombs and traps in regular fights etc). It sounds fun, but do I have to rely on having a bunch of elemental SnS or can I just make a raw one and go to town? I know SnS is meant to be one of the better elemental weapon types but IDK if it's required to get a decent kill time.
