delete this right now OP

I just want a game I can have fun in.
:(

DELETE THIS AND DELETE YOURSELF

All I'm looking for is recommendations.

FFXIV is your only real choice

>WoW has been on a steady decline for almost a decade
>Black Desert becomes an extreme grindfest, even for an MMO it's exhausting

LEAVE THE MEMORIES ALONE

Are there any decent free mmos?
I just want something to grind every now and then.

private servers. classic Everquest with Project 1999 or try to find a WoW server.

i haven't played any WoW servers in a while but they seem to fall into one of two extremes. either they're dead as fuck with only a non-english speaking population or they're stuffed to the brim with chinese gold farmers trying to ruin the server economy by selling gold, this usually means there are long queues to get into the server or it's laggy as fuck and borderline unplayable.

LOTRO is alright.

I'm trying out Vindictus. I got to level 60 with just under 20 hours of play through steam's VIP bonus for new players. Combat is boring at first but gets better as you level and I skip all the lore to progress faster. Armor looks cool. Would be better if played side by side with a friend. Try it out.

FUCK YOU! TOO SOON!

Neverwinter, it's free, not overly grindy/P2W and has more content than you can shake a miniature giant space hamster at now

i found the combat to be shitty, just kinda spamming the same thing over and over again. is that just low level shit or has it changed since then?

Is secret world still fairly active? I'm really interested in it but I'm worried I might be too late to the party.

Black Desert isn't even an MMO really. Just a single player game with other players running around.

How is LOTRO doing?

to be fair most mmos are like that nowadays, and the ones that aren't are slowly drifting towards it

Batman Online
425 Ayko Online

Both very cool games my dude

yes, still dank

deleted your characters if you haven't played in a while along with all your purchases, so full jew

I like LOTRO it has some kinda story atleast but i quit 4 years ago and lost my account so dont want to play that again
Vindictus is cool but get pretty boring

Something about the Loremaster class was awesome to me.

Basically you were a lesser magic user, that relied on tricks and knowledge of the world to make an impact.

Still going. I've been slowly playing it again over the past couple of weeks. Still fun, really comfortable too.

youtube.com/watch?v=m1-q-F0rcYE

eve online or ffxiv are the only 2 worth playing

so figure out if you want pvp or pve and choose accordingly

Oldschool Runescape, if you still haven't gotten on that bandwagon

>Basically you were a lesser magic user
>lesser magic user
>magic user

So it was lore breaking.

Yeah kind of. They got around it by saying it wasn't magic, but knowledge of old arts or language or some bullshit, it has been awhile.

Is Final Fantasy 14 worth the monthly pay?

if you like pve, yes

Depends, its like WoW, only it has more to do right now since you have to go through the whole game up to the current patch instead of being just thrown in the new expansion, I think there is a trial time if you want

It is if you're into the genre. I'd be playing it right know if I wasn't finishing my backlog.

I just finished downloading return of reckoning and I hope the servers come back online tomorrow

>Neverwinter, it's free, not overly grindy/P2W and has more content than you can shake a miniature giant space hamster at now
How's the pvp?

p2w?

What are some free to play MMOs that aren't total shite?

What's a good game to play?

Don't mind F2P that I have to pay to really access.

Is DC Universe online still up?

all f2p mmo's are p2w shit

You ain't tricking me twice, gooks.

...

I find myself going back to tsw every now and then and each time there's always been enough people to find groups relatively easy.

maaaaaaaaan what happened to the sexy goth/vampire aesthetic?

So, why is it that whenever someone talks about MMOs people only care about the endgame? Whats wrong with taking your time and enjoying everything that leads to the endgame instead of just rushing to it as fast as possible?

There are a bunch of people, if you joint #Sanctuary you will always find people to party together and now with both the weekly and daily challenges people have created channels for eopel who want to group up to to the challenges and even achievements since doign them now pretty damn worth with the Museum of the Occult and its items you can get from there

Roll destro.

That's unfortunately what the market has shifted to these days, most MMO's I've played in recent years make the levelling process something you can do practically solo and just chain a bunch of quests together so you can get to the end as fast as possible. I miss the days when MMO's were more about the journey, not the destination, when it wasn't just solo content, but a lot of well designed group content as well.

eve online fuck anything else

>Roll destro.
no other choice

I rocked Chosen back when and I will do so once more.

gud

>That's unfortunately what the market has shifted to these days

>make stuff at level cap much more interesting than the boring mechanics and lack of skills while leveling
>people rightfully want to rush to the cap as fast as possible
>devs take note and reduce the amount of time it takes to get there
>in the process making the leveling content even easier and more boring
>people rush to cap faster
>dev reduce the leveling time even further
and the cycle continues

Are Bright Wizards still as OP as they were on live?

it's the reason my friends and I quit

Blade & Soul

tfw want to play a trading game but EVE's the only strong option and it's no fun

Pretty much, back when I played Everquest 2 and Vanguard I probably spent more time just going through the levelling process and having fun than actual endgame stuff.

eve's trading was fun for me

Wildstar's a really decent game which failed to find a playerbase

Biggest problem is too much grind desu

Secret World has a fairly small but dedicated playerbase, it's worth playing for the story if you can find groups to help grind up gear

I personally haven't had a problem with them. In open field pvp the melee train usually runs them over before they can be a problem.

They can be annoying if there are a ton of them defending a keep and your ranged aren't doing their job suppressing them.

What's really annoying is the fucking slayers..

god i fucking hate slayers

I played Wildstar at launch and hit level cap in a bit over a month. The combat I found was fairly entertaining, my problems were the world was kind of bland, quests were pretty samey, and at launch class balance was pretty bad, my friend played an Esper and while he's a great player, esper just sucked compared to every other class at that time. I'm not sure what you mean by grind, the endgame grind at first was pretty big, but the actual levelling grind wasn't too bad compared to most MMO's. Oh and dungeons at launch had lots of leavers because to get the best loot you pretty much had to do the instance flawlessly.

I don't understand why they can't fix their server.

There are easy remedies and 3rd party solutions to DDoS attacks, but you can tell they're not very competent about it when their registration service doesn't even have a captcha, which allows you to register 1000 arbitrary accounts per seconds.

These folks know what's up.

LOTRO and FFXIV have my vote.

despite all the memery, ESO is pretty good
it had a bad launch, but all of its issues have been fixed and it's a great game now

Should i buy WoW or get Overwatch instead?

I played WoW for the first time in my life a while ago and it's without a doubt the best MMO i've played. The thing is, it seemed deader than dead (with ironforge having less than 20 players at the main hall) and i didn't get to the game's main attraction which is dungeons, raids and shit. There was barely any interaction except when i decided to spam /roar at ironforge and a couple of faggots came along to spam emotes at me.

Now, overwatch was REALLY addicting but i'm afraid it could get old soon if i played it too much, but i liked the fact that there are going to be constant content updates from now on.

What the fuck do i do?

Monster Hunter Frontier

guide on how to play at fist.moe

How's the f2p plan nowadays? Last I checked it was something ridiculous like being capped to HR2, without friend lists, pokke farm and a bunch of shit.

HOLY FUCK WHEN WAS IT IN ENGLISH AND VPN FREE?

Play wildstar and pvp me.

>esper just sucked compared to every other class at that time
You must be talking about spellslinger because no class was as bad as that one at launch.

I played all classes in beta and every single one of them had boring skills to me

>Now, overwatch was REALLY addicting
You'll get bored in 2 weeks.

the TW version doesnt require a VPN and is 2 updates behind Japan.

lots of english players on actually

Sounds rad, I'll probably pick it up once I get back to college, thanks for plugging it and that website

Did they ever fix warrior is it still spam rampage until it dies?

>I played WoW for the first time in my life a while ago and it's without a doubt the best MMO i've played. look for a private server

How's the playerbase skill-wise? I play FFXIV all the time and there's so many garbage players it hurts. Is Frontier something I can go on the toughest hunts with randoms and be fine like the handheld ones, or is finding a good group important?

FXIV and Wildstar are pretty rad.

If you don't mind subscriptions, FFXIV is pretty gud
Dungeon Fighter Online is a pretty fun beat-em-up action MMO. It's got solid gameplay, but is a bit lacking on the community side

Lads how's ESO if I want the Oblivion feel again on PS4?

Heavensward!

Mmos are quite the same as they've always been, you just saw things differently. Take vanilla wow for example, you could simply solo your way to 60 the way you can in any modern mmorpg and the "real" fun started there. OR you could take your time and group with people and stuff.

It was always like this. If anything it's better now, the levelling process is usually more fun and varied than it was back in the day.

I hate to be that guy but this is quite literally a case of rose tinted glasses.

nope

Ed, Edd, & Eddy.

>never understood why it was called heavensward
>finish main storyline

Why though?

They should just put DFO on steam unless there is something stopping them.

I just want Maple 2006 dammit. Greedy jews ruining my fun

They have the Nexon link there still, but not the new one
IDK why though, I think it deserves more attention

>do you still have to use your most damaging skill to kill things?
uh, yes?

What was so great about CoH exactly? The way I remember it, it was insanely repetitive and super grindy.

Making costumes?

I'm still a bit sad Wildstar failed. It was a really fun game despite it's flaws like the ones you mentioned (that's stuff that could be easily fixed and I'm sure it was).

People stopped playing mostly because they couldn't get attuned to raid, none of my friends managed to and I just lost the drive to play alone. The game was also poorly optimized.

Because you go to the sky.
Because of the play on Heaven's Ward.
And then so they could name drop it at the end of the story.

They try too hard with this.

I mean back when I played like 80% of your damage was rampage and the rest was auto attack and detonate. Was wondering if they actually gave Warrior an actual rotation you cheeky cunt.

I've been digging The Secret World. Got the Ultimate Edition for 20$ on Steam and very happy with my purchase.

Definitely has the most engaging story in an MMO I've played. Not a high bar, I know, but it has a really engaging world and top-notch lore.

I've watched wildstar since before beta, and it STILL has ZERO classes which I want to play.

I don't want to be ranged.
I don't want to use garbage rage copy pasted mechanic from WoW.
Claws are a retarded weapon for faggy fuccbois.

If they just gave stalkers a different weapon to use than faggot ass claws I could maybe play the game. But no, they don't want to do that. Fuck wildstar.

>I enjoyed it but my friends stopped playing so I stopped playing too
I don't understand why people like you don't just join a guild.

>Claws are a retarded weapon
Oh, it's you. How's that autism treating you?

you cannot get to G Rank without understand the basics of Monster Hunter, and even after that it has a climb all its own in terms of personal advancement

Did you not have to use skills that lower rampage's cd, or breaching strikes, or whirlwind? I didn't play warrior at launch.

Pretty badly.

I'm still waiting for a monster hunter thats on PC, isn't region locked, and is F2P.

Mabinogi.

Na but that's interesting. It was pretty much breaching strikes/WW was worthless back when I played. All you really did was autoattack when rampage was down.
