Basically Journey, but underwater.
Anyone played it? Any good?
Abzu
As you said it's pretty much 1:1 journey but underwater. A little more on the spooky side though especially the deep sea parts.
Aside from that the OST pretty much Journey, the gameplay parts are pretty much journey, the chapters are pretty much journey, you have a cool shark buddy later on though
So if you liked Journey you'll like this. It's around 2 hours long or 6-7 hours if you want to fin ´d all the collectables and easter eggs
>Basically Journey
So it's shit alright.
Nice, I'll pick it up later.
>
>Denuvo
dropped
I don't usually go for these indie feel shit games but I love me some underwater exploran, this is tempting
all the reviews say its a lot worse than journey
somehow i am hesitating spending 20 on this way more than i did for journey
It's got Denuvo? Goddammit.
Doe it have a multiplayer like Journey? Or just single player?
anybody played it? reviews are all over the place
bump
Only singleplayer
i absolutely loved it, so many feels and so comfy
playing it currently
it's extremely beautiful (moreso than Journey) but it does get FPS drops
you don't get that same sense of motion you get in Journey though
score is really nice too
Btw if anyone wants the OST if can upload it
I just wanna play cool underwater exploration games
>Ace of seafood
>Subnautica
>Aquaria
God tier games, but there aren't nearly enough out there
>Wanna play it
>DENUVO
>15 bucks
God damn it. I just bought Inside not that long ago for the very same reason, and while that game was enjoyable, I thought it cost way too much at 20 bucks.
Fuck.
I think this is longer than Inside.
Inside was like 1.5-2 hours if you took it slow.
Abzu is like 3-4 hours if you took it slow.
not much better, but maybe it helps :(
Also the game has a feature where you can meditate and follow around every fish and switch between them and it even shows you what kind of fish they are. It's pretty neat
Well fuck that then
Was actually gonna probably buy it since I absolutely loved Journey, but I gotta stick by my convictions
Hmm.. Might wait for the price to drop then. The MP kind of made Journey great for me
I can make some webms if you guys want. There're also spooky parts
did u finish it?
wud you say its worth it?
and how long did it take you to finish it?
i quite loved journey
>i'm not gonna buy it because i cant pirate it
sure
I'm
It's quite literally Journey underwater. You still make ping noises to activate things, find weird stone plate messages, instead of a scarf you have flippers and tons of fish sometimes there's like 600+ fish on screen.
I'm not gonna buy it because I genuinely value game archival and shit like Denuvo could potentially cause a game cease to exist in the future if it's never cracked
And fuck that future
yeah but
>$20
I just beat it. I really liked it. If I never played Journey, is it still worth playing, or am I pretty much covered?
>I'm
I'm what user, you can tell me, user???
Journey is still worth playing and it's cheaper now i think.
It's pretty much the same game, but with sand and different enemies
Well fuck that then.
>tfw me and this guy met on the second level of Journey and played through the whole game together in one sitting
>tfw we didn't add eachother at the end
I still kind of feel bad about it. Anyway that game was amazing with how you communicated without words.
I'll hijack someone's Playstation one day.
>Play Journey straight through on launch
>Think I've gone through the game with another kind soul
>End of the game lists 6 different people I've traveled with
The magical thing about Journey is realizing you've actually been playing through with multiple people when it's over
Ecco: The Tides of Time was a great underwater game, and you explore the new areas when you get to them. Decent story too.
It's closer to Flower than Journey
Am I the only person here who hate these "artistic" games? I can't stand this shit honestly, I play games to have fun.
nigga that game is spooky as shit though
...
It is fun
...
...
It is pretty spooky. It's got non spooky parts too though. I actually finished it recently and it was pretty good. tfw there will never be an ecco 3 to finish up the story because Sega won't sell the ip
fucking hard too. I'm too casual for that shit. might try again though.
Artistic games can be fun. I usually like other games more than them though.
...
no, but people like you don't usually bother to enter a discussion of people excited about it

My favorite part is swimming around with sharkbro

I just finished the game and I fucking loved it. I'm big into marine biology and the ocean, the entire thing was just really pretty and pleasent.
The only things I'm caught up on are the price tag and length of the game. £11 for almost 2 hours of gameplay isn't good, but I'm glad I played it. Probably play it again if I ever feel down.
>even on gtx1080 fps drops as low as 40.
>t-this is the power of PC right g-guys?
Nah it's the power of optimization these days
As long as the console version runs fine most devs don't care
Can we get some webms of the spooky parts?
