>Centuries-old game is more competitive and balanced than literally every e-sport out there
What is your excuse, Sup Forums?
Centuries-old game is more competitive and balanced than literally every e-sport out there

>Millenniums-old game is vastly superior and has a higher skill cap than Chess
Hmmm...
Pathetic
>implying white doesn't have an unfair advantage over black
Czech your privilege shitlord
>He doesn't already know the counter to all possible white openings
Kek
>opening
>any threat
I'm too stupid for chess, that's why I'm playing video games like most of the idiots here.
They've been balancing the game for centuries, of course it's like that
I'm too stupid for chess
white has the advantage in chess
go is the more interesting game anyway
I like board games but don't have any friends with whom to play.
Playing them online is no fun, everyone you play against is a god who has been playing since 5 years old nonstop.
>not playing the most advanced board game of all time
Bitches please, step aside.
>implying e-sports are supposed to be perfectly balanced
The truth has been spoken
That's not mahjong
Then don't call them sports, but just big party games. The only variable in sports should be the person's skill, not random RNG.
e-sports are a mutation of the gaming industry, they were never designed to be balanced in a competitive setting and it shows, because even when developers try to balance their games they always fuck at least ten things up and that's being generous. games are meant for fun, and only fun.
Spray patterns aren't rng.
it's a skill to know which options are superior
>Look up AlphaGo matches
>3 matches that total to 16 hours
>implying people don't play games with RNG professionally IRL
>what is Texas Hold 'Em
>what is Poker
You obviously don't know much about competitive game or are trolling.
Slight unbalance is a factor in favor of these games because it means there are very few "correct" answers to any given situation, and you can create new moves and playes, i.e. the meta evolves.
I'm not shitting on chess, I love playing it, but playing chess literally means getting through a backlog of stuff that is already established, then you go pro.
E-sports are just different.
Chess is blatantly unbalanced and broken.
>Game made my Pajeets when they were God like
>Games being made my white people at their lowest
Of course chess is gonna be better
Rocket League, name me something imabalnced about it.
>>Centuries-old game is more competitive and balanced
chess is unbalanced as fuck, white has a huge advantage over nigger.
Average by who? 16 year olds?
Whoever touches the ball first is kind of RNG
It's not often I get to post this.
Haven't today's pros learned to counter first move advantage?
Also is shit image.
>implying the opening moves aren't always the same shit
even bobby fischer was predictible as fuck at the beginning, you can't really do much aside from developing your pieces and decide if you'll either castle or control the center of the board, you poodle
>Balanced
Finite number of openings that have finite number of counters.
This game has been "perfected" and at this point requires no strategy but simple memorization.
Nice try, comrade.
>Haven't today's pros learned to counter first move advantage?
no, its mathematically impossible actually.
white will either win or tie, black will either lose or tie at best.
the only way for white to lose is to be brain dead retarded.
what decides who goes first?
>He doesn't know all possible counters to white openings counter.
Fucking casual. Go back to /r/gaming
en.wikipedia.org
>Whites win 52-56%
>Difference is less in blitz chess.
It's because you have no options in setting up the game, only execution.
Both you and your opponents have the exact same pieces in the exact same arrangements and can make the exact same moves.
It's balance between DIFFERENT things that are difficult. Anyone involved in the development of chess wouldn't have an easier time balancing StarCraft than Blizzard has right now.
>Haven't today's pros learned to counter first move advantage?
This may be the most retarded thing I have ever heard; up there with "RNG is okay in competitive games, if you're skilled you can outplay your opponent".
How does being a pro mitigate the first move advantage when the person you're playing is also a pro?
chess' meta is stale as fuck. 2.0 patch when?
>white has advantage over black
>maps in csgo are either t-sided or ct-sided
>some heroes in dota 2 have over 50% winrate
>same applies to league
Your stats don't mean shit when both players get a chance to play both black and white.
