I played the demo on steam a whiel back and loved it. I love RE4 and I know they share a director. I just want to know if this game is worth buying at $9.99 on PC.
Yes I understand that I can torrent it but all the good public trackers are gone and I want to play this with the fps/black bar updates that I think I remember hearing about a while back.

It's high tier horror in the beginning, but then turns into a bland dark souls meets resident evil 5 yawn fest halfway through the game. I payed 60 bucks for it ON PC!!!!! I fell for the hype like a swaggot falls for every call of feces. I felt like a retard.
Games pretty damn good and entertaining. I bought it for $15 and would easily pay 30. Probably no more than that. Good for at least another playthrough once you beat it
It's a good game OP. I bought it full price back when it came out and was disappointed, because the second half of the game was pretty lame. No idea what the DLC is like though.
Unless you like dying in one shot to a well hidden bear trap I wouldn't even bother attempting AKUMU mode.
It's tryhard memeing man. If you're the type of gamer that loves bullshit hard levels and repeating the same fight 25 times to get to a checkpoint, that's the difficulty for you. If you want a hard game that's not fun-crushing, don't do Akumu.

Also, upgrade your HP and matches ASAP.
Shoot them in the knee and drop a match on their ass; works even better in groups to save ammo.
Lastly, your knife is your best friend.
10 bucks? Easily yes, its pretty fun man.
It's really good but not all that similar to RE4. The Evil Within is much more survival horror focused and more difficult. I thought it was pretty great, even for $60. The only negative is the insane difficulty in some areas. Some parts are Dark Souls x10 hard and require a mix of luck and skill.

It's not "the true way to play the game", but if you enjoy challenges it's quite fun. There are a few rage inducing segments, such as the turret in the bridge and the dog, but apart from that, if you play carefully you should be able to make it. At the end of the run it tells you how many times you died, I think I died 153 times.
The one-shot mechanic makes some parts incredibly tense, which is a plus.
Haven't tried Kurayami yet though.

Aside from the rocket part it was actually one of the easier fights in the game.
Definitely one of the most boring games I played in a long time. Most unrelatable mc too. And Joseph is nothing but a headache
