How does it compare to GT5? Played a shitton of that, but got a bit tired, so didn't end up buying GT6. Looking forward to the PS4 release though.

It's really different, they reworked the physics entirely. 6 is a little low on features but the actual driving is the best ever.

I got it for free, but I can't get into it.

They removed a lot of the tedium. Better menus, better garage, easier to obtain cars.

And yes, like the other guy says the handling and physics is hugely improved. I love Gran Turismo 6.

Yes but only if you do time trials solo.

The AI is complete shit. They have NO forgiveness when they run you off the road or bump into you which makes you lose control. Each AI car has the same racing line and it always seems on the highest difficulty when theres any challenge theres always 1 or 2 ai cards WAAAY ahead while theres 11 or 12 ai cars behind the same pace as you. Its so fucking unfair and badly programmed.

You're mistaking Gran Turismo for a racing game. It's not really.

It's a driving simulator/car collecting. The racing is just a way to collect more cars and practise your own driving.

I have hated GT since 3 when it became a driving simulator. I liked it more when it was more like an arcade driving game

Does this have local, or online multiplayer?

Personal thoughts

Good:
>Best driving
>Shit ton of tracks
>Shit ton of cars
>Dealerships display every single car, no calender locked or hidden cars
>Platinum trophy was managable difficulty
>Vision GT cars

Bad:
>Not much of a sequel, but the expansion overhaul GT5 needed
>Ridge Racer style staggered overtake AI meta-game
>framerate is variable, odd for a GT game
>promised features rolled out in updates spread out so far that I didn't care anymore after 2-3 years of waiting

Basically it's GT5 but fixed some of the shit that pissed me off therefore more fun for me.

Both. Though if you want to play online I'd just wait for Gran Turismo Sport at this point.

Does GT6 fix the awful load times of GT5?

Yes much faster.

Nice, that makes me excited for Sport and inevitably GT7. I have some bad memories about the grinding I did on GT5 to buy some of the most expensive cars.

I hope the next game has some more MAKOTO and Drum and Bass in general. Easily one of the main reasons I enjoyed the past games so much.

This, why didn't Sony tell them to start development on PS4? Could have been the only good launch title for the system.

Both this and God of War: Ascension should have been PS4 launch titles. Sure GoW wasn't great but it would have been a decent launch game at 1080p/60fps with basically the same visual quality.

You seriously think Polyphony Digital would meet the launch deadline? They're the slowest developers in existance.

It's not like some f2p scam where you'd have to grind longer than the estimated age of the universe to afford high-level stuff. At no point did I ever personally feel pressured to buy credits rather than just earn them by racing, but I'm a person who has more free time than money so take that as you will

all dlc is free- cars, tracks, everything

the only microtransaction you have is the option to buy in game money
it's not intrusive either, you have to deep in the store tabs to see those options. easy to ignore

but with the way GT6 fixes the grindy parts of making money in previous games, you'll never need to buy it, unless you just really want a specific expensive car early in the game

compared this to how other racing games like forza or driveclub do car packs and shit, I don't know how anyone could complain about the GT6 method of all dlc is free

"Microtransactions" in GT6 is the equivalent of buying a shark card for GTAV singleplayer, so wow it's fucking nothing.

Horribly easy to get money, you can get like 400k from one challenge with the daily login bonus. Login 5 days in a row and you earn 2x money.

Buying money makes literally no sense in this.
