Just bought the Mega Man X Collection for 12 bucks. Only one I ever played was X6 and apparently that was the worst in the series. Which one do I play first /v?

I was planning on X6 as that's the reason I bought the collection as I wanted to have some childhood nostalgia. However I've come to learn that X4 is apparently the best one but any ones before that don't have Zero, who I want to play as. I'm just getting some opinions here bro.

X3 has Zero but in a very limited use that there's really no point. You really only need him in one part in the 3rd last stage to get his Z saber and that's if you get everything

More saying that 90% of the replies are going to say to play X1 and that you're retarded/autistic/buzzword. It would've been easier to spend 10 minutes playing each then decide, or roll a die and play the result for an hour.

If you're playing games you're better off than those who waste time replying the same 27 words or so again and again in every thread.

They removed the voice acting for X6, not entirely just in the cutscenes.

Start with X4. I always found that to be the most fun.

The X games take a huge dip in quality from X3 onwards.

zero is in all of them in some way or another. play in release order since none of the collection games are really that bad you need to skip them. x7 is horrible but worth a play to get a proper perspective on what an actually bad game is compared to Sup Forumss shitty idea of it, and x8 is worth playing overall.

Yes, it is one of the worst if not the worst, and it should be emphasized that most of them are not bad in the first place, and in that collection specifically is the only bad one of the bunch.

Really? I thought it was pretty fine, granted I was only like 7-8 when I played it. What makes the others so better? (can't play yet its being shipped by Saturday)

The biggest downsides are
1) no component cable support (you have to use the composite cables)
2) apparently X3 uses the remixed PS1 audio, not the SNES audio.

it's even more frustrating in the actual fight since you hear it and fight it and the fights in that game are already tedious. again anyone on Sup Forums who calls even a 6/10 game an utterly terrible game should be made to complete x7.
