Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain is the most disappointing thing since my son
As someone who never played a Metal Gear game before MGSV
>Story had tons of wasted potential with great concept, like Kaz's damaged eyes only being able to see black and white
>Cutscenes were scarce, but I figure this is because they must have been very expensive to produce
>Gameplay is absolutely top notch and an incredible amount of fun with tons of ways to play
>Open world wasn't a mistake, but wasn't utilized to it's full potential. Enemies should search for snake en masse when he tries to escape, so that more sneaking took place away from the main areas.
MGS5 is my favorite metal gear solid game
didn't Kojima boast about how little cut scenes were going to be in the game?
Plinkett pls
dad?
Probably tried to pass it off as a positive. You could tell that the ambition for the game was too large in scope. Why is the gameplay so incredibly polished if all of the levels weren't done? Certain teams must've been better than others in that regard.
Konami must have saw that the gameplay was excellent, and knew that + the name would be enough to sell the game, so they didn't bother finishing it
I just realized that The Phantom Pain has a lot in common with The Phantom Menace.
Did your son magically turn out to be black?
I mean at least they didn't ruin Liquid
it would have been real easy for Kojima to put a baby Liquid in. Maybe even walk up to Solid Snake and have Ocelot say, "baby Liquid, meet baby David and baby Psycho Mantis" and then they shake their little baby hands
oh wait, Kojima is a bigger hack than George Lucas
All of those memes about open world games being empty miles of nothing are actually true with MGSV. The game's world is just so dead, going open world didn't do anything positive for it.
did a pretty good job passing it off as a positive; the switch between cut scene and gameplay is almost seamless
*wife's son
The quality of the cutscenes is top notch, just a shame there were so few of them for how lengthy the game was, and how unfinished the plot was.
ohh
I like to fuck my cat
I think it's really stupid how the entire story is told through audio tapes. You can't really listen to them during a mission without not really paying attention to one or the other, so you just sit there in the helicopter listening to audio tapes like a dumbass.
Eli was one of the best shit in the game.
Still very pissed about double hospital mission, shitty twist and no final Lord of the Flies mission.
Quiet is the key to all this.
I love that there's hardly any cut scenes. MGS4 had five hours worth of scenes and not much game play
There were good things too, mostly fucking around in the open world. It needed more of that. Co-op sneaking would've been fucking amazing.
Should have cut the comp multiplayer and FOBs for co-op.
>my previous pizza was all cheese and no tomatoes
>so this next pizza better be all tomatoes and no cheese
>yes, that is truly the way to make a good pizza
hyuck
The tapes with background music was supposed to be cutscenes
I know, i'm mad too.
