Tfw you realize its too late to fix things

KC Green is a fucking hack.

just off yourselves you depressive fucks

>tfw you played video games all day
>come to Sup Forums
>see miserable children crying

It's good to be the master race.

>all good old games are now nonexistant.
Wow, it's like what's happening to videogames has happened to every medium ever when society's when the through growing pains.

I only get depressed in the summer, I'll be back to my normal only kind of depressed self once we get to autumn

You can't just keep replaying old games over and over again

>implying you've played every old good game
>implying this isn't a drop that's common to mediums and will eventually go away once the current fads of design lose their allure
Holy shit, you don't have to wait forever.

There are EASILY enough good games in the world, both old and recent to keep you occupied for at least 10 years, unless you play 4+ hours every single day.

>unless you play 4+ hours every single day.
Isn't it normal to play that much a day?

It's only like that if ALL YOU DO is play video games.

I used to be playing games all fucking day and I remember having a back catalogue of 50 or so games and never being able to choose one and stick to it. Then I enrolled in school and got a girlfriend, now I value every free second I have to play games and enjoy the shit out of it.

This
Games are good for escapism
When a big part of your day becomes games it no longer is escapism as its now the norm which deviations from would be a form of escapism.
>why don't videogames give me a good escape any more when all I do is play video games?

Agreed, I think the last time I truly considered that I had a "backlog" was when I was gaming all day erry day. Now it's like fuck, I play video games maybe every other day, I'm just going to play whatever I feel like.

>a hobby that has left you behind
Thats kind of true, I think it more like the hoi polli got involved with their wallets and money ruined things, the people that are making games dont care about them anymore, its just a paycheck etc, with some exceptions.

What really offends me is now we're the badguys for wanting challenging/complex gameplay, or we're bad for trying to find out is one of us or just a poser, or we're bad for trying to focus on the meat of a game rather than things like its social message or what the package experience is.

I'm replaying System Shock 2 right now, and its not like the old games are expiring, they are still fun. This must be what it was like then the peasants started to read and all the patrician class didn't have books written for them anymore, just easy things for the masses to read.

>unless you play 4+ hours every single day
Wow what kind of loser would play 4+ hours of videogames every day?

idk about you guys but i still play dock loads of video games and they're just as fun, if not even more so as time goes on. idk what your problems are.

Forever in our hearts

That was just a ballpark figure user, I'm sure it varies from person to person but my point still stands; there are a shitload of games in existence spread across different platforms, more than enough to entertain yourself unless you literally only play games like said.

Wow what kind of loser would literally only play games and browse Sup Forums all day?

>they will never make you happy the same way they used to
I just want to enjoy games again

...

I don't want to play an RPG to listen to some hack story that can't seems to flow outside of a cutescene to save its life.

I don't want to play a sandbox where the only free part about it is being able to run around in a box full of nothing.

I don't want to play an FPS period.

When are we going to get a game that actually lets us craft our own adventure? That sets up a world and deep and plentiful game mechanics and lets the player roam?

When are game developers going to stop being lazy money hungry shit-heads?

Until then I continue as I am.

...

Thanks user...

>tfw you realize nothing needs to be fixed
>Videogames are just as good as they used to be
>they still make you just as happy as they used to
>you're content with the years you've spent on a hobby you love

Anyone born before '75 needs to shut the fuck up and stop talking like they're an oldfag. If the NES was your first console and you try to act nostalgic about it you're a fucking manchild.

I've played games for nearly four decades now and I am completely comfortable with saying modern vidya is fine, unless you're a retard who guzzles up exclusively blockbuster AAA games like COD and AssCreed while ignoring indies, AA developers, and handhelds.

>Waste years of my life on video games
>Arena shooters gave me the ability to think and make accurate decisions quickly and not panic under pressure.Leading a running target with a rifle is basically the same thing as compensating for latency with server-side hit detection.
>Sim and Management games ended up teaching me business process analysis
>MMOs taught me project management and how to manage, motivate, and maintain an organization of dysfunctional humans and still get results

No idea what the fuck you're talking about. Games gave me an enormous advantage in almost every endeavor in my life, and it's ridiculously easy to find other people to have fun playing games with.

There will never be a game like this ever ever again

R.I.P i quit playing right after WOTLK ended and never went back

Zelda breath of the wild?

I mean it's not exactly what you describe, but it looks better than the usual open-world sandbox drivel

>Isn't it normal to play that much a day?
No.

do other shit besides JUST playing videogames

>enjoy playing video games
>come on Sup Forums to shitpost for a bit when I'm taking a break
>go back when I'm ready to start playing again

LIVING THE DREAM

...

Try Dorf Fort?

Eh, it's better than nothing

>>you will never get those years of your life back that you spent on a hobby that has left you behind
good. I don't want them back
video games are the only fucking thing that kept me going through them
