Sony consulted casuals while making Dual Shock 4

That would probably explain the completely useless SHARE button.

Who doesn't consult casuals for everything

I'm pretty sure more people prefer minimized huds and betters fovs with weapon models that don't take up your entire screen but it always works the opposite way

Sadly at one point the market was overrun by them

the controller is still shaped normally, so I don't care what gimmicks it has, shape is even an improvement over the DS3

I'd have a problem with it was a remote with a large glowing ball though

There are far more casual gamers than otherwise, so technically it /is/ for the (majority of) players

>Who doesn't consult casuals for everything

They don't know what a good controller is why should anyone ask them what they think?

They would even say that this is a very good design

useless to you nigga, i have over 60 gbs of videos/screenshots on my ps4

I use that button all the fucking time set to instant screenshot

beats holding two buttons on vita

>i have over 60 gbs of videos/screenshots

What do you do with them? share on youtube because there is nothing better to do?

There are actually a couple good implementations of the speakers in the DS4. The best one I can think of is in FFXIV.
When your queue for a dungeon or trial pops it will play a sound through the controller, this means you can walk around the house and get shit done while you wait for your queue and won't miss it when it pops.

>There are actually a couple good implementations of the speakers in the DS4.

Sure you make a hole and apply a 2 cent wii speaker in your controller and everything is just better.

post on flickr, share in screenshots thread or w/e

it's just fun to take screenshots similar to real life photography

you are implying people who receive those screenshots care or you enjoy receiving screenshots from annoying people

what the fuck are you going on about. Who cares about what other people think of your screenshots, that's just a bonus. If you have fun taking screenshots or picture irl why does it bother you what others think? Similar to how you enjoy shitposting, i enjoy taking screenshots. Therefore, the share button is not useless for me, even if it is for you.

a bonus is when you get a good play not a fucking screenshot

who cares for watching screenshots?

"Hey look I just killed a player have a screenshot!"

"Hey look I'm so good at this game take a look at this video and see how good I am"

>i enjoy taking screenshot
fuck off

damn nigga u mad

wew

>share button
>lightbar
>speaker
>useless touch screen

You enjoy it?

are you being paid for your autism?

you are Christian Weston Chandler

Don't forget
>4 hours battery life

BLOWN THE FUCK OUT

Spotted the #NOFRIENDS guy

>Implying your friends care for your shitshots

>lightbar
What were they thinking?

>Nintendo creates consoles and handhelds built specifically for the casual audience
>Xbox is built for normies and 12 year olds
>But Sony is the bad guy

I like it. The touch screen is useless as well as the light bar, but it's pretty comfy desu.

Hello again, Eurocuck Xfag.

>has no excuse for xbox he makes up random shit

Sony copied Xbone this gen with PS4 pay for online and a bunch of other junk. They're worse than M$ because they don't even allow backwards compatibility with PS3 discs and you have to re-buy games from PSN. Also tried copying Ninty with the Move and M$ with the camera junk. Sony aimed for normies this gen and everyone knows it. Extremely lucky that M$ shot themselves in the foot with its preview of the Bone before the fixed it and fired Mattrick.

Sonydon't

Microsoft consulted all the pro-gamers, made the best controller to ever exist albeit pricey

I use it all the time. One of the best new features.

Also the trim function is really useful and faster than doing it on pc. Then copy it to my pc for further editing using adobe premiere if needed and if not I upload them directly to my youtube channel from the console so I can link to them on my website

Don Mattrick sold more PS4s than Bloodborne

You would be correct, m8. Dude totally screwed em over, especially with that interview after the conference with Doritos Pope.

>So you won't be able to say, play out in a boat if you're stationed in the Navy and have no internet access?
>Get an Xbox 360 then!

>dpad
#rekt

I think Mattrick wanted to say "Buy a PS4!"

The dpad on the xbox one is infinitely better than the shitty 360 one and suits me way more than the PS4's

>not using a capture card
>editing SD quality footage
>actually uploading it for the whole world to see

>>editing SD quality footage
youve got an xbox one, right? because the ps4 has way better quality than you'd expect.
The xbox one is utter trash shit with their DVR function

I have a PS4 and the video quality it records is far from great. It might look good on a small screen like a phone, but it looks like absolute ass on a PC screen.

If you're even halfway serious about producing video game content you need to get a capture card.

how many seconds does sony allows you to record of gameplay?

I've got one, I'm a different user
but
at what point did you think he produced serious video game content?
He takes pictures for fun. Woo.

15 minutes, IIRC

you know why recording on console is dumb? because you will edit it anyway
you'll have to export to PC, edit, add title, etc and upload on youtube/whatever

>at what point did you think he produced serious video game content?

he said he uploads them to youtube and links them to an external site, I assumed he had a gaming channel or whatever. Bothering to edit the content in adobe premier also implies that you want to produce something more than just jump-cuts of gameplay

not trying to hate on the user, I'm just sick and tired of every nook of the internet being infested with sub-par video content, xbone / ps4 streams included.

Yes well you avoid needing a capture card if you wanted to record something from a console exclusive.

it's retard to have a button for this
you can easily press pause or home button and press record/share

It's pretty crisp for 720p footage.

Don't worry this is my videohosting channel. It's not for getting views.

Recording on ps4, then copying to pc and editing there is faster than recording with fraps and editing on pc.

>you know why recording on console is dumb? because you will edit it anyway
unless you like to just upload small clips of games, not for being a pro youtuber, but for archival reasons for yourself or to send to a good friend?

yes, if you're a professional YouTuber, god forbid, you should use better equipment, but for a normal person using it for personal reasons, it's fine.

...

>I'm just sick and tired of every nook of the internet being infested with sub-par video content
Define sub-par?

You mean unedited?
You mean shitty quality?
You mean uninspired?

Shitty quality is probably at the top of the list.

The 'best' example of this is DSP, that nitwit filmed his TV screen with a camcorder for years, had horrible commentary, poor gameplay and shat out more videos in a week than most content creators do in a year.

>shat out more videos in a week
That's the only way to get noticed on youtube.

There's this dishonored guy with kill montages who is having 300000 views on each video, even when he wasn't even that good, but he just had a l33t pc that could upload high quality footage.

Meanwhile I singlehandedly find dozens of tricks and game mechanics, make tutorial videos, and examples, and no one gives a shit.

It's not about quality. It's about putting content out every fucking day.

>It's not about quality. It's about putting content out every fucking day.

It increases your chance of exposure, sure, but if the quality of your videos isn't up to snuff you won't retain any viewers.

There are plenty of channels that upload 1 video a month and they easily hit the 200-300k view mark. To use DSP as an example again, he uploads 5-10 videos in the span of 24 hours, plays every single new AAA game on launch day and he struggles to hit more than 5-20k views on a single video.

>he struggles to hit more than 5-20k views on a single video.
Then why is he so well known?

>you won't retain any viewers.
dude makes millions of views a month

I don't think you understand, quality of videos and quantity of videos correlate in a way you aren't seeing.
