Its really fucking obnoxious how even /if/ you dash cancel, you're still taking a fuck ton of damage from random crapshoots because you simply don't move fast enough unless you're using a javelin

If you can play shit like GTA V then EDF's framerate should be more than fine, it's actually capped to 60 FPS as opposed to 30 FPS like most console games.

GTA V ran okay-ish. For a console. Fallout 4 really ran like ass, especially in populated areas. Cinematic 24 fps.

I wish the heavy shields didn't slow your turn speed so I could just hold it up while doing 360 nospears on bugs.
Might've been nice if dash boost and jump boost were normal abilities to use whenever. After playing a ton of fencer I find him to be the most boring. Half his weapons make him immobile, the other half are required to be mobile. Half his weapons are are also shit. Dash cancelling everywhere gets pretty old. The only fun movement is combining weapons with dash boost and jump boost to get around vertically. If only fencer could fly like a wing diver, or shoot like a ranger, or do fun things like an air raider.
He's pretty unstoppable at kiting in easier difficulties, but once you're on inferno that gets pretty limited. You can still kite pretty well but it's not going to make miracles happen like before.

I think I like this class, I wish she got upgrades to how much flight drains the guage though, she's the most fun when you're sitting up in the air raining death from above.

even low level stuff like the chainsaw just absolutely shred things like hectors and dropships. and as far as energy upgrading goes, most higher tier weapons lower the energy cost so it's an indirect energy upgrade I guess

Pretty much. Fencer has the serious issue of having all the drawbacks of a tanky character with none of the bonuses, so you're forced to dedicate half your weapons to just making him usable.
