Normally I'd give shit to a Widowmaker, but playing other games as a sniper tends to carry over well into Overwatch. And to be fair, a good/smart Widowmaker can pick off the healer or keep a team on lockdown.

Was a comp sniper in TF2 for 2,500 hours before selling my backpack and moving onto Overwatch. I understand what you are trying to say, however.

The problem is medals overall don't matter. I've gotten gold as Mercy for killing three people with the pistol. Yet in another game I got bronze for killing six.

Gold is top in a category, silver is second most, bronze is third. Multiple people can get the same medal if they tie.

It's the good old "he's easy to play" argument. People shit on every hero that's "easy to play".

He's good up until higher ranks because players are good enough to play around him and more actively pay attention for your traps.

They usually just stay in the back hoping that one of their bombs hits someone (it won't) or place traps where no one will step in.
Not to mention how they spend their ult to kill one (1) guy.
At least the shitter Hanzos can use their ryugamtekilaku to get a few lucky hits or help the team locate other enemies.

But once in a blue moon, you'll find the Junkrat who wipes the entire team with their shit ult and no pick him in attack payload missions.

If you lose but you had gold medals it means whatever you were doing was effective. It's just that your team couldn't capitalize. But you were on point. It's a small victory, you know? Better than getting pissed at your team.
