Literally just had to run around and hit him every once in a while

I thought xenmas was harder

retard
the point of a "casual filter" is to weed out the casuals
as in, the fight is mildly difficult and non-casuals will beat it with ease but casuals will not

Good job exposing yourself OP.

taht thing was piss easy, even on hard mode.
now, taht Phil Cup with the 6 or 8 blue mage dudes. taht shit was not fun.

Parasite Cage in CoM as Riku was a huge dickpunch if you chose Atlantica first.
Also why is this difference in Sephiroth and Ansem so large in difficulty? Ansem is a tremendous fucking joke as far as difficulty is concerned.

WHEN YOU WALK AWAY

Not terribly hard for a seasoned vet, but was the first boss in the game to take multiple turns and had disruption wave which sacks all your buffs.

...

Bzzzzzt!

This fucker right here

That one wasn't even casual filter just mildly annoying.
NOT CLAYTON was the real casual filter

>that swamp in MediEvil
>Crash 2's third batch of levels
>the 2 vs 1 fight against Subzero and Scorpion in MK9
>the ProtoPets in R&C Going Commando
>The Library in Combat Evolved
>Robodog in MG:R

>cold aura
>DPs of a runaway train carrying trucks
Fuck this guy
I mean i was like.. 12 or so when i played diablo and he took me hours

This glorious fucker.

>body slams you multiple times in a row at the start of the battle

Literally what the fuck

post serial rapists

>What the...? It barely put up a fight
yeah okay fuck you karol

DANCE WATER DANCE

Skeith
>sister fights the boss at like level 26 when its like level 28
>Blackrose and Mistral die in one aoe
>Kite dies in the next hit
>over in 6 seconds

>that segment where you have to solo a boss using karol
AAAAAHHHH

You're joking, right?

That fight was just spam the phoenix magic and using earth when the boss was puking... it was boring cuz of that I agree

...

It wasn't that hard but tedious as fuck

No im not, hes a casual filter.

Didn't mean to reply, my bad.

You seem to have posted the wrong boss

...

...

I honestly didnt have much trouble at all with demons gate, the only boss that i really had any sort of problems with at all was hojo

...

...

really?
didn't give me much trouble

You aren't a casual then

>circle around, roll twice tops
>backstab 7 times

or

>parry his slow as fuck, heavily telegraphed hits

Havel is 100% free. You must be baiting.

As long as you aren't constantly running from random encounters and missing out on exp there isn't a single non-optional boss in ff7 this isn't easy as fuck

You do know that casuals dont play like that right?

If casuals don't fish for backstabs what do they do?

Any boss with charm in Persona 3.

Rush him with a shield up, go for a backstab too early/late and get one shotted, roll into a swing, fight him with heavy armor on. And it will take 15-20 backstabs unless you're packing an upgraded weapon.

That's not Materia Keeper

>Implying

Holy fuck the difficulty curve on these guys was nuts. They took me way longer than I'm proud to admit.

>Starts the battle with the OP laser and then grabs a party member two times in a row

It really is a lot more difficult than you would expect. In fact, quite a few XCX fights are like that. I just managed to beat those two by taking down their mooks first.

...

>it's a common weak ToV monster in the 2 Project X Zone games
>not even as a sub-boss unit
>mfw

I've never got the feeling that this boss was hard. Not on proud and not the second time when he does a lot more dmg. The only casual filters are the Malificent dragon and Ansem himself. The only really hard bosses are all the secret ones except for phantom.

Yeah, I remember the Lao fight at the end being a bit troublesome too, but only one specific phase. I think it was when he was in his mech.

>the final boss is a casual filter
Do you know what that phrase even means?

>not just getting up on the cerberus' back

Two words: Definian Downfall

...

GET UP ON THE HYDRA'S BACK

The first phase of the fight reminds you that you can't just use Skells as a crutch, and the second phase teaches you that you can neglect Skells either. Its honestly pretty clever.

Oh, hi.

A lot of casual players have difficulties beating the last bosses of games even though they aren't the hardest bosses. So yeah, a final boss can stil filter out the casuals from invested players. At least in normal difficulty, but playing on easy makes you a casual player anyway.

>yfw sapphire laser

*Can't neglect

>a late game boss is a casual filter
good to know that soulsfags don't understand what a casual filter is.

no seriously fuck these two on chaos

That's dumb if you're lucky you get 1 combo in before you fall off. You rather wait for him to finish his 3 bite combo and retaliate with a air combo every 5 secs.

Cerberus was actually easier if you played like a retard.
A smart player would attack one of the outer heads first, so he wouldn't have to worry about the one on the other side.
However, if you attack the middle head like a dumbass, you active an action command that obliterates Cerberus' HP bar.

...

This entire game

If you really want to know a good casual filter, have someone take the Destiny Islands challenge.
Selphie
Wakka
Tidus
Rikku
Selphie, Wakka, and Tidus together

DANCE WATER DANCE

I forgot to add: on the hardest difficulty.
True. Its too bad on Riku's side of things you couldn't edit his deck. Making a deck was my favorite thing about that game.

But that's only in KH2, where Cerberus is cake, especially compared to Demyx

Wait, Cerberus was in KH1 as well? It's been so long, I can't even remember that anymore.

sup?

I've gotten to this guy and he honestly feels like a boss that was deliberately hard to test if you truly want to see the rest of the game.

He doesn't filter you from shit.
A casual filter is a progress halter like Matador.

That was honestly quite simple. Chester in Felghana was way worse.

You are exploring a mystery dungeon when this stud walks up to your partner and unburdens all over her ass. What do?

OP posted the wrong cerberus

>came here probably to talk about FF12's judges
>maybe come to talk about Etrian odyssey
>but
>nope
>its a kingdom hearts thread

...

I honestly had a harder time with Clayton than Cerberus.

The casual filter for KH1 was Maleficent.

youtube.com/watch?v=nbTQLt6k_nk

He is, at the end of Olympus Coliseum.
In 1, there are no Reaction Commands, and when you face him, you likely don't have any key-chains or Cure.
The only way to really be ready for him is to beat both Wonderland and Deep Jungle, the latter of which has KH1's other mid-game casual filter: Clayton.

I know most of you skipped him.

>currently trying to play through this as a guy with dyscalculia

It hurts so much. Is the Cloud fight supposed to be hard even for math fags?

I think I never actually went to Olympus before beating the other 2 worlds first and I remember Clayton being tough.

I could NEVER beat this fucker when I was a kid

Maybe I'll pick up 2.5 and see if it's easier as an adult.

>That rubber banding
>That shitty ice level
>Him knocking away all your tokens
>Or just knocking you off the stage
>The laugh when you lose

I have no idea why I bothered to 100% DK64, but this asshole was the only thing to make me legitimately mad.

That beaver minigame can also fuck right off

That whole game is a casual filter. Man I love mystery dungeon
youtube.com/watch?v=OJ6XpUz2RmA
Hey we're talking about things other than kh. The main story in ff 12 is pretty easy, at least compared to some of the marks. Holy fuck that white chocobo Trickster is a nightmare if you're underleveled.
yeah he is at the coliseum as an early boss

Could the second Riku fight in KH1 count as well? He's pretty difficult, especially on Expert mode.

Can we really say this is a matter of being a casual? All you have to do is grind.

>mfw 30 card decks with nothing but fires, blizzards, and thunders
Prostrat for sora is just make a bunch of Firaga sleights in your deck so you can easily spam triangle and literally have nothing but unbreakable spells. Keep a few 0's in your deck at the end so you can just scroll left a few time to break enemy sleights. Also, make everything premium. I literally Firaga'd my way through proud. Riku is the hard part until you realize he is all about being reactive rather than proactive.

>first time playing dmc
>took 4 tries to beat cerberus
>the next two bosses didnt even kill me

Retard, circle strafing is max casual

Miguel from Chrono Cross

0s are your friend.

This one always sticks out for me

This. Set up your deck so sleights work in cascades. If your first sleight is 9-5-5, make sure your next one is 5-5-5, so you end up with sleights always above 9, so they can only be broken by 0's. Also put your 0's at the end or shortcut them so if you see an enemy prepping a sleight you can easily counter. 0 cures are the best for this.

>tfw RL finally forced me to learn to play MH3U

I was just fucking around before him, tbqh familia

Only a casual would realize you can't circle strafe. The real prostrat is getting on his back or treating it like Souls and dodging/partying all of his attacks.

>I have no idea why I bothered to 100% DK64
because the game is mostly fun

>That beaver minigame can also fuck right off
Beaver Bother, and a couple other minigames are pure bullshit though. Some other minigames are weak, too, the only good ones were the platforming ones and the DK barrel ones.
