Bioshock general thread

Didn't splicing make subject delta superior to jack (lore wise)?

In terms of combat ability, Subject Delta was much stronger than Jack, yes.

>Bioshock
>Lore
Shits fucked, go home.

Why was the prototype big daddy stronger then all the finished model again? Most works of fiction I can think of just use the prototype was far too expensive to mass produce excuse but I didn't hear that anywhere in Bioshock 2.

So where the Vigors in BS:I better than Plasmids or had the negative effects just not manifested yet?

Delta is a much bigger guy both physically and morally.

He was a prototype that could act mostly autonomously, as well as being able to use myriad weapons and all the consumer Plasmids.

>So where the Vigors in BS:I better than Plasmids or had the negative effects just not manifested yet?

They probably didn't think that much, since the story was a convoluted mess and you could easily remove the Vigors from it and it would still work completely.

The prototypes were autonomous and were never bound to their little sister, they could also use plasmids, so most them either went crazy with plasmid use, walked off into the ocean, or both.

>Most works of fiction I can think of just use the prototype was far too expensive to mass produce excuse but I didn't hear that anywhere in Bioshock 2.

The reason they didn't go with the prototypes was because their conditioning didn't take into consideration how often the little sisters died.

The next batch adressed that issue, while streamlining the process.

And in terms of prototypes, the fine filing done on most military application prototypes means they perform better than line produced ones, so this isn't really news on any kind of prototypes. I have to make prototypes where I work for different applications, and the ones I make manually perform a lot better than the production versions, just because the production in streamlined for efficiency, and that was the case with big daddies aswell.

Apparently injectable works better than oral, so the plasmids would be better. I think it goes over it in Burial at Sea 2.

I thought the oral ones were better but way more expensive so they stopped doing it that way.

Are you kidding? Delta is the most powerful Adam user until Elanore gets it all at he end.

I recently finished Bioshock 2 again.
How's Burial At Sea? Is it better than Shitfinite?

Injection of plasmid needs 4 times less adam to make a vigor. They're the same essentially. Vigors have been in use fall less time than plasmids.

Much better. Shitfinite should have been Burial at sea for the entire game.

What I don't understand was if Eleanor managed to get all the ADAM in Rapture like her mom planned, how the hell would she maintain it without going into withdrawals due to a lack of fresh intake?

I can't remember, did she undergo the experiment where she absorbed it like Gil or did she actually pull off an escape?

If you love bioshock then play it. They fixed alot of stuff but caused a few problems too like retconning a few story parts. But it's far far better than Infinite and proof they should of made Infinite a game in rapture not shitty Colombia.

Episode 2 is okay. 1 is basically just a demo to set up episode 2.

Yes in the tapes and Lamb says she's a genetically engineered little girl based what they did to little sisters which gives her no side affects and doesn't need constant adam and eve to keep going.

Did Stan Poole want to get dicked by Johnny Topside?

They didn't need unbeatable war machines like Delta, who also had shards of his individuality intact, but just loyal watchdogs to beat up Junkies. The later big daddies are more similar to animals than soldiers.

Because she had been a Little Sister, and if I remember correctly still had a slug inside her even years later, she didn't suffer the negative consequences of ADAM use or intake. It might be unpleasant or hard to cope with but her body could handle it.

Lamb was basically going to do to Eleanor, what was done to Gil, except that Eleanor wouldn't have turned into an ADAM-overloaded giant flesh monster. Maybe after some initial difficulty as her body got used to it, she would remain herself more or less, but ulra-powered by ADAM and with the memories and conciousness of all the people the ADAM was collected from. Like a hive-mind in Eleanor's body with super powers.

Who didn't want Topside's dick?

Over the years weren't the Splicers getting good at killing the Bouncer and Rosies? And they had to develop the Rumbler. My question is WHO made those Rumblers when practically everybody in rapture was a spliced up crazy addict.

Yeah, they weren't just losing Big Daddies at a high rate, the splicers were adapting so fast because of ADAM that they had to recruit ex-Little Sisters to crack down on splicers. Thing is, they were only sent after the ones who had already killed a Little One. So it only solves about half the problem.

Also, I never played the DLC for 2. How is it and who do you play as?

You play as another prototype big daddy called Subject Sigma and the plot revolve around Rapture build super-computer. Can't really tell you more without spoiling too much and as I played it few years back I don't remember much details either. But I remember it was quite decent.

>Like a hive-mind in Eleanor's body
>A hive mind
>A mind shared within a group of individuals
>A group of individuals physically inside eleanor.

DELETE THIS

HEY Sup Forums it's OP, what i REALLY wanted to know is, "is game-play wise is delta better than jack? Is sigma better than both? Is the protagonist in bio infinite better than everyone else?"

i'm about to play the games any advice?
Who is the strongest in terms of game mechanics?

...

Who the fuck is Bob Nagant?

There was the chance that even with her disposition to accept Adam due the sea slug, she COULD end up like Gil anyway.

Hopefully, we didnt get to see it happening.

ME
What episode of key and peele is this?

Start with Bioshock 1, enjoy the game, it is pretty good.

Bioshock 2 is the best of the series, besides being the worst recieved (basically, it wasnt written by levine and everyone thought it was going to be a quick cashgrab and bashed it. It also had some errors on the PC version. Look it up on steam forums how to fix the crashs and increase the FoV)

You NEED to play BS2 DLC, as it is the single best thing with bioshock name to ever been done. Please, dont spoil it for yourself. Leave thread if you must.

Bioshock Inf starts well, but end up being a mess, both story wise (ken levine is a hack), and game play wise (game is poorly balanced and go against the difficulty curve of both the other games)

>she COULD end up like Gil anyway.

Who the fuck is gil? And how did gil get fucked up

In BS2 gil is the dude lamb injected A LOT of adam trying to create the ubermensch. He becomes greatly deformed, even though we dont see it. He is several meters long and lives inside some tube that keeps him alive.

We invade his base, he is crazy, calls himself Alex the Great. Old footage of him begs for him to be put out of his misery, but the current self want to live.

The model inside the tube that is seen very blurred by the glass is pic related.

Damn., thats pretty fucked up.
