>All these people boycotting Blazblue because no dub confirmed
Are dubs really that important to you, Sup Forums? What are some good ones?
>All these people boycotting Blazblue because no dub confirmed
Are dubs really that important to you, Sup Forums? What are some good ones?
>no dub
who the fuck cares
Honestly I understand why many Japanese devs don't bother anymore.
The rift between Japanese and western games have grown over the years, people dislike "weebshit" or they like it, it is a niche. Unless it's a AAA game I don't really see the point in dubbing, too costly for too little return.
>Are dubs really that important to you
Me personally, not really. Dual audio is always a plus because more options is always great for thia kind of thing, but honestly I dont care if a game sticks to one for the most part.
If Japanese can't be arsed to put in dubs, then people should be free to boycott. It's lazy and fucking stupid on the devs' part. I don't care how fucking niche it is.
No amount of weebery can condone that shit.
The vocal minority
If I can't have both I'd prefer subs+original language.
The only dubs important to me are these ones.
there are no dubs on Sup Forums you newfag
I always prefer dubs because Japanese voices rarely ever do anything for me. They all just fall into a handful of ranges. I'm also turned on by the way someone talks, but again, foreign language doesn't do shit for me in that regard so I tend to keep it on dubs in the off chance I get to hear someone nice.
Dub and Sub shouldn't even matter in a fucking fighting game.
How does it involve the devs in any way?
I most cases I wouldn't care, but I genuinely love the BB dub, and the lack of Seitz would only harm the game for me.
00
Blazblue was dead to me the moment they fucked with Hakumen's voice.
Who the fuck plays Arcsys games for the dubs? Jesus Christ. Glad they've dropped useless dubs.
The only time I hear them is when looking up videos on youtube and I reel with pain when I hear them.
Anybody who thought Arc Sys would dub 34+ characters is retarded. Every single line would need to be localized and dubbed. And that's not even including unplayable story characters. BB is becoming less popular in the west, not more popular too.
I mean you can get dubs but you are only allowed to roll for dubs in Sup Forums and /s4s/.
you can also roll for dubs in /r9k/ if you are a cocky peace of shit
>Blazblue CS
>Hazama sounds like he should in english
>CS II Rolls around
>Hazama VA noticeably replaced by someone else
>its bad where the fuck is the old VA.
>Switch language to Japanese because of it.
The only thing I'am missing out on on the English side of things is my nigga Tagers voice who thankfully has a just as good voice in Moonspeak.
besides its relatively cheaper to not dub the game as voice actors cost money.
its almost like were reverting back to 2000's fighting games when all they had were Japanese VA's and just english text.
>good ones
>dubs
Americans always amuses me.
probably people that only play for the story
>No Patrick Seitz
I mean, Sugita is fucking great too, but come on.
>someone on /vg/ said "storyfags care about dubs"
>implying you need the dub to follow the story
>implying most storyfags don't prefer original weeb audio
They've been disabled on Sup Forums user. Let go
>>implying most storyfags don't prefer original weeb audio
They don't though. People really love dubbed Ragna and Noel
Wait what happened?
I stopped playing blazblue after continuum shifts last iteration
>fighting game dub
who gives a shit?
The only people who care are voiceover fags, which is like a small group of people about the size of the population that signed that MML3 petition, at best. They are willing to let the game be delayed so that the rest of us who just want the game have to wait or import, and the latter is pretty expensive. They trouble the many so they can have their few placated.
Dubbed Ragna was 10/10.
Why don't they just kickstart this shit
Plenty of people who are storyfags disagree with you. You are just a voiceoverfag who cares that something is said in a language you understand. It's meme levels.
>Sub-only
>Meanwhile, ATLUS still goes dub-only for everything
Why?
I honestly don't give a fuck about ENG dubs, because English isn't my main language, so I'd rather just play the original.
What made it good to you?
>Implying I don't play with subs
Came to post this. He's what got me interested in BB back with CS.
Is there really no dub? I don't care with GG but BB has always had english voices.
I'm in the minority I know but that's damn near a deal breaker
>Noellers-chan, wait up!
I kinda enjoyed Blazblue's dub, if only for some of the voice actors, like Ptrick Seitz and Jamieson Price. But at the same fucking time, the English script tends to be a godawful clusterfuck compared to the original.
Same with Bang
i like tao
does that make me a bad person?
Patrick Seitz's voice and the delivery with his lines were fucking great. Dubbed Ragna was everything I wanted and more. I'm fine with listening to Sugita, but I'm still disappointed I won't get to hear Dubbed Ranga in CF.
I do.
BB has a superior dub.
most of the people whining about it aren't really worth the salt, i tend to body them anyway so the less bad competition, the better chance i'm fighting against someone way better than i am
Hey guys
GG > BB
>No dub in the final game in a series because ???
That's what gets me about it.
I hate 99% of English dubs but BB actually had a mostly consistent good English dub. I'm still glad it's gone because I'll never have to hear some shitty Eng VA online. I'm extremely happy Revelator didn't have an English dub. Sign's dub was absolutely disgusting.
Most people play both so I don't see the need to try starting shit.
>final
English is the greatest language on the face of the planet.
Only dumb obese main-language English-speaking retards care about English dubs.
>Are dubs really that important to you, Sup Forums?
I don't think this is the issue.
BlazBlue had a dub in pretty much all releases so far, some people really got used to it, and I gotta say some english voices are quite decent.
Then it just so happens after all these years of bothering with a dub track, they now decide to drop it, it seems pretty weird and kind of a low blow to those who care for it.
Noel is annoying as shit, but I'm sure Christina Valenzuela became some sort of a mascot at Dustloop foruns, when Continuum Shift was released, she logged in there and actually asked for tips on how to be a good player and even voiced some fan comics of Noel.
I like cat butt
Normally I wouldn't care, but I really like the Blazblue dub, and those two characters especially,
Without a dub, does that mean we'll get a better translation this time?
The dubtitles are horrendous.
I cannot find any confirmation of OPs statement yet, it only says "might"
in any case
what will Terumi do with the cube?
will he kill amaterasu and be the hero we all deserve?
tell me more?
>in the final game
You actually believe this?
You do know that Mori actually said BlazBlue was only meant to have three main games, and a fourth game Chronophantasma was only being made (he said that before release) because the "plot" to got too extensive.
Now here we are, Chornophantasma was no final game, and Centralfiction definitelty isn't going to be either.
It did give us valley pirate Nu
I want to fuck this cat.
>boycotting
>over no dub
They are doing them a favor by not including a dub.
Still doesn't change the fact that No dub because: ???
They should at least say something still.
>devs bloat almost every game with gigs worth of audio in worthless languages like french, spanish and zimbabwe
>somehow companies bringing games over from Japan can't have one extra language track to please their target audience
NANI?
The funny thing is that Seitz wrote the script and did the voice direction on the anime, and he did a way more competent job than Aksys/the other lowest bidder localizer ever managed. They should've hired him on the games proper.
Simple reason is it's cheaper and it will prevent people importing the game a month or 2 before the western release
ok go on
Cheaper for them but it's not like they're passing the savings onto me, so really I'm the one paying for the lack of a dub. Fuck that.
Might as well import and watch the story on YouTube in that case.
Central Fiction is confirmed no dub?
That's kind of a shame, I actually liked the dub cast. Won't impact my purchase at all but some of them were great.
Will the chubby boy nendo for the western release?
>remember that CentralFiction is coming westward
>look at the wiki for the release date
>sweet, this winter
>decide to read up on the plot a bit
>"Hibiki: An assasain who wants to kill Kagura and become the ultimate killing machine"
wtf, hibiki was awesome in CP, how the fucking fuck is he actually a bad
Who gives a shit about Americucks. If I can't get my French dubs, so shouldn't you get your English dubs.
I want to shoot load after load of cum into this cat's cunt.
I play easily 9 out of 10 Japanese games subbed, because English voice actors barely fucking try. Most of the time, I see no dub as a good thing.
But the English dub in BlazBlue was pretty good. Rachel Alucard's voice is so pleasant on the ears. I'm sad to hear it won't be in the new one.
It is Ragna's final game however. CF will conclude his story, if they don't put in an extend version that is, which they probably will.
>An assasain who wants to kill Kagura
How is that bad?
>>All these people boycotting Blazblue because no dub confirmed
>NO DUB
Is this reddit? How is this not a good thing?
>Play Calamity Trigger on hacked PSP when it comes out.
>Don't really care enough at the time to change the settings.
>Actually end up really liking the dub and get used to the voices.
>Even start to watch the anime in the dub because I'm used to it.
>No more dub.
I guess I'll just start getting used to the original voices now, which is probably what I should've done in the first place.
Tao is best girl, no other option.
Sure it's cheaper but you're going to piss off the people that want it.
And I'm one of the crazy bastards that actually likes hearing shit in-combat.
English Rachel was trying a lot harder than Jap Rachel. Jap Rachel couldn't even be bothered to do a different voice for her younger self.
You know older Sup Forums used to call people who used chink voice only weeaboos.
This is some fucking ironing
How will this affect underboob?
I thought revelator didn't get a dub because they were doing story dlc, making it a pain to reschedule everyone for doing more dub lines with each update?
If BBCF isn't doing that then there's no reason for it to not get a dub
He's pretty damn good at that, considering he did the English script for Space Dandy as well.
GAUNTLET
Lambda is better.
i think im starting to understand
Is Kagura a bad guy in this one?
Sorry, I haven't read up on the plot at all. Like I didn't even know Terumi was back or that the Arcade Mode was split into 3 acts.
Cat butt best butt
Nope, sorry user. This is incorrect.
I don't play Blazblue but i think its pretty silly that Blazblue had almost games dubbed and suddenly the last(?) game of the saga isn't dubbed.
Personally, i don't really mind dubs but there are some dubs out there that are close to my heart and i prefer over the original language(Dubbed Zhang Jiao>OG Zhang Jiao)
No, but he is fucking trash.
Wrong murokumo user
No, you saying Lambda isn't the best is incorrect.
No, Lambda is the correct Murokumo
had every game dubbed*
where was it confirmed that no dub?
>Dub actors has changed more times than there are Blazblue games.
Why do people care?
Xblaze was never dubbed though. And those games are part of the story
Badly. Isocchi's great and all but English Makoto is perfect.
Only thing is a tweet from Seitz saying they haven't contacted him for the game and it's releasing in a few months
I absolutely love the BlazBlue dubs and it's a huge dealbreaker for me if I can't get the English dubs in the game.
I've spent so long listening to the English voices and they've really grown on me. I can't imagine playing Ragna without hearing INFERNO DIVIDER - FEAST ON THIS!, for example.
I also use the sound cues to figure out what to do in a match, and getting used to entirely new sound cues could slow my progress down unless I decide to learn a new character anyway.
I really hope they reconsider, lots of people love the English voices, and I think it'll seriously harm their sales if they neglect them.
The Neptunia dub was one of the cringiest things I've ever heard. The voices were defaulted to the English dub and I had to listen to them before I could change them.
>440
I guess it counts.
Revelator didn't get a dub because Aksys is no longer in charge of localizing Arc Sys Works games. They only publish them now.
It's time for you to leave the thread forever you silly user.
